***Summer Open weeks - 4th of July week and all of August! Come stay with us and enjoy the convenience of downtown living!***

1000 square foot, well-kept, four unit apt building, each featuring 3 bedrooms, 1.5 baths, large living room, fully equipped kitchen, screened-in porch, front and back entrance, central air. Renters will enjoy short walks to the beach, boardwalk, fishing pier, restaurants and bars. New in 2024, Bayside Park.. is just steps away on 4th street. The park includes new playground, basketball court, tennis/pickle ball courts, skateboard park, and open space with a beautiful bay view!

Darby Manor is a family rental unit featuring old OC charm. The location is close to all the conveniences of downtown, without the noise and hustle and bustle.

Our rentals are Saturday to Saturday only. If the calendar is showing booked, feel free to reach out and check with us, we have other units in this building that may be available for rental. (All of the apts are set up the same, but have diff decor.) This is also convenient if you would like to travel with multiple families.

Great place to stay

We had a great stay at Darby Manor. 3 minute walk to the beach and boardwalk. Close to the surfing beach (south of the pier near jetty). Unit was clean, property was immaculate, and the owners were on site and very friendly and informative. See you next year!

We arrived a day early to avoid traffic. We took a walk to Darby Manor and actually met the owners. They were very nice. Offered to let us check in early as long the cleaning crew got done.

Perfect place for family vacation

We stayed at Darby Manor for a week in July. It is located really close to the bayside (if you like fishing I guess you might spend your evenings or mornings there :) ) and 4 blocks from the boardwalk (5 min walk). Walking distance from the amusements park. Small grocery store is 1 block away which is very convenient if you have kids who suddenly decide they want chocolate milk or cereal. Place is very clean and spacious. Big living room with a lot of windows. There are playground, skateboard park, baseball field and basketball court just across the street, which is very convenient if you want to get kids off the playstation :) Owners are staying in the same building , they are very nice people, very friendly. We enjoyed our stay there and will try to come back next summer.

Cleanliness of property - would've been 5 stars if not for a weird smell in the stairway Check-in process - would've been 5 stars if I hadn't been treated by the people in the office like they had no idea who I was or why I was there Communication with property manager - would've been 5 stars if the landlord didn't walk in to the apartment without announcing himself while I was leaving the bathroom in nothing but a towel. Rather than apologizing and reversing course like a normal person, he entered and went about his business. That's weird, folks.

Second time Back

After 5 years of staying here, we came back. Such a great spot blocks off the busy boardwalk. Great owners, very friendly to me and my family. Place was clean. We enjoyed our week there and I'm sure will be back again. OCMD is such a beautiful spot to go with family/friends.

Awesome Family Weekend

We had an amazing week with the family. Darby Manor was the perfect fit for my family and in- laws. Walking distance to great restaurants/ playground and of course the BEST part, THE BEACH/boardwalk. If you are looking for a quiet calm and clean place, this is the place! The owners were very accommodating and provided excellent hospitality.The sunsets and warm weather will keep you coming back. We will sure to come back sooner than later!!

Perfect for families

We have stayed here with our extended family for over 15 years. It is great. They are always updating the place. It is very clean and close to the boardwalk and bay. You can fish just one block away off a small fishing boardwalk on the bay. There is also a playground and park just one block away. The kitchen is well equipped so you do not have to eat out every night. There is a small back yard with a picnic table you can use. The owners are on premise so if you every need anything they are right there to assist you. You won't find a nicer place for the price.

Family owned 4 unit apartment building. We have owned this property for over 35 years and take great pride in making improvements to keep Darby Manor up to date. Before becoming owners, we had rented this property for years, enjoying family reunions each summer. When it went up for sale , we jumped at the chance to purchase it!

Why they chose this property

We loved the convenience of being downtown, and having the space for all of our family to go on vaction together. Literally, once you park your car, you won't have to move it the rest of the week. Downtown has a great array of bars/restaurants, the boardwalk, fishing pier, a new city park with pickleball/tennis courts, basketball courts, skateboard park and a playground. Our location offers very close proximity to the Trimper amusement rides and attractions.

What makes this property unique

Just a few steps away is the bay and mini-boardwalk fishing pier. Frequently, the family walks over together to watch the beautiful sunsets. The new city park is a wonderful new feature in 2024. Just a few steps away, the park features open space, a playground, pickleball/tennis courts, basketball courts, skate park and more! It's also nice to have a small yard for outdoor relaxing.
