Peaceful and perfect describes S'more Fun located in Traverse City on Bass Lake. This home welcomes guests with 3-bedrooms and 3-bathrooms. The living room has a cozy fireplace and beautiful lake views. The kitchen is fully equipped and has a great "eat in" area for morning gatherings. Up the stairs there is a large family room. A large-screen TV and pool table provide entertainment, and a queen futon is available. On the lower level are three bedrooms. The lower level is a walk-out basement with 7-foot ceilings. The master bedroom has a king bed and a spacious walk-in shower. The other two bedrooms each have 2-queen beds. The home has central air conditioning, a gas fireplace, and WIFI.

The outdoors space is a beautifully landscaped. The waterside features decks and a patio area for the fire pit. There is plenty of outdoor furniture too. A dock and canoe round out the outdoor amenities. Bass Lake is a great spot for fishing too! The yard area is a perfect place to play Bocce ball or Croquet. The game room in the garage includes ping pong and more. Stunning sunrises and starry nights are just some of the highlights to enjoy here.

This area is just out of town but close to everything. Visits to the Interlochen/Grawn area, Leelanau Peninsula, Old Mission Peninsula, or downtown Traverse City are all easy drives. Incredible Mo's Family Fun, grocery shopping, and farm markets are about 10 minutes away.

Check out local wineries, breweries, and specialty cheese shops like "the Cheese Lady". Enjoy fantastic restaurants and food trucks in downtown Traverse City. Visit the Sleeping Bear Dunes, cycle the Heritage Trail, and visit the Cherry Bowl Drive-In for family fun in near by Benzie. Things to do in the area are endless. Come and see what all the buzz is about.

The house was very nice spacious and clean. The elevated deck outside the kitchen was great, with a wonderful view of the lake. There is a garage with ping pong and foos ball (although we had to ask about access to this area as it was not provided). The location was great close to wineries and downtown traverse city.The outside area, including the lake frontage left a lot to be desired. The outside area was run down and somewhat unkept. The dock was gone - only the poles were in the water. The bottom of the lake near the frontage was full of leaves which were stirred up making it dirty. The deck outside of the primary bedroom was in need of repair. The fire-pit was full of ash that needed emptied. We spent most of our outdoor time at the sandbar across the lake, as the yard at the house was a bit rough. Communication and response time to questions was quick.Overall, the house met our needs and was perfect for 6 adults. But if you are wanting to spend most of your time outdoors, this may not be the best option for you.

We came for a week for a family vacation and had a great time! Our main goal was to have a place where our dog and daughter could swim and it was accomplished! The house really feels like it is it own oasis and away from neighbors. We really enjoyed the beach even with the lily pads that line the clearing. The cano and pabble board are a great touch! The house definitely is a bit funky, some stairways not to code, and I would say the beds aren't very comfortable but for a group like ours that can go with the flow we really enjoyed ourselves.

Great place to stay

We all had fun in the play room. Kitchen was stocked well. Beds were comfy. Plenty of room for a family vacation. One of the showers leaked so that should be addressed. Overall a great place.

Perfect Family Weekend

Our family weekend of 8 adults and 1 grandchild(4 yrs) fit very comfortably into the home. We enjoyed waking up to the sounds and view of the lake. The upper pool/entertainment room and kitchen were great for us all to gather. Great location for venturing out too.

Absolutely Wonderful

We had such a fun time staying at Smores fun. Our group came up for a soccer tournament, the kids had a blast being able to play outside, had space inside to play, and enjoyed the ping pong/Foosball/pool tables. The house was clean and well set up for our stay. Close drive to town and restaurants. Would recommend and will also look into it next time we're in town. Thank you!

Property was nice. The only thing I would say is the stairs are not great, a few in our family slipped on the stairs. We were in town for a wedding so only had a short stay.

S’More Week

Sunrise and sunset were beautiful from the large window in the living area. Having the kayak was a nice plus for us. The property management group were simply Awesome. I called with questions several time and they were always helpful and responsive.

The property was perfectly set up for my 3 adult sons and their significant others/friends. The pool table in the upper level family room is perfect! The views of the lake were a huge bonus. Huge accommodating kitchen for all 10 of us for games and dining.

Reviewer Comments: The house was okay I wish I would’ve been told about the ants it was really disgusting. I also ask someone that had called me to check in with us for a rack to clean the yard that is full of goose poop. Never got a call back. For as much as it cost I thought it would’ve been better.

This particular house was a stone's throw away from Traverse City, Sleepy Bear Dunes Park, Sutton Bay and all the other small towns that make this area surreal. I would highly recommend renting from Up North as the staff is most professional on all levels. I would highly recommend renting from this service....you will not be disappointed.
