Check out this cute cottage located on a 300 acre fresh water recreational and fishing lake in the southwest Michigan. Just south of Lawton at exit 60 off of 94. You will be enticed by the quiet beauty of this channel property. Offering lake access and a dock to store your boat or a rental during your stay. The cottage has 2 bedrooms, 1 bath, Living room, sunroom/eating area and full kitchen. Can sleep 4 with 2 twins, a queen . Newly redecorated, with all the comforts of home. The kitchen is fully equipped for you to make your own meals or head to the towns of Lawton and PawPaw which are a quick 5-10 minute-drive away with wineries, breweries and multiple delicious and quaint eating establishments. You will pay only our nightly rate , a nominal cleaning fee and the fee charged you by VRBO. We pay our own taxes and our own VRBO fees ourselves and don’t nickel and dime our guests.

My partner and I, along with another couple had a fantastic long weekend in this cozy cottage! The yard space and deck we're awesome. We spent a lot of time outside. The home had everything we needed. The only thing we had to bring was food/water/wood for the fire pit and we grabbed charcoal for the grill. We rented a pontoon boat from Slates Boat Rental in town and that made the entire weekend even better. I'd definitely be interested in returning next summer!

Andy and Kathy are super people! Any thing needed they were right on it. Loved fishing from the dock. Caught blue gill, bass, perch, and catfish. Beautiful place to stay right on the channel, and the lake was beautiful also.

The Boathouse was cozy and comfortable. The many “extras” were wonderful- coffee, creamer, nightlights, extra paper goods, and a fan in the bedroom. The location was perfect for us as we explored the area. My husband had some luck fishing from the dock but I would recommend a boat if you really want to enjoy the lake. The bed was comfy and the kitchen had all the basics. The deck was great for coffee in the morning and reading during the day. The interior could use a refresh but I know that’s difficult during the busy summertime on a lake. It was a good place for the two of us!

Our family had a great vacation. We were visiting family in Kalamazoo, but it was great to have our own place. Water view was pretty. Our boys fished on the dock all day long. Kayaks were great! We had a camp fire every night. Fun watching boats go past.

Great location, reasonable prices, hosts communicated well. The property needs a deep cleaning, from inside to out. Directions to overflow parking were a little unclear. Please get a new shower mat.

I'm not sure how any previous reviews considered this house clean. It looked like it hadn't been cleaned or used in weeks. We all have different standards of clean but if you're charging to stay in your "quaint cottage" it should be free of dead bugs, cobwebs & just overall grime. I could detail every room but no one wants to read all that.We were in town for a concert. We rented a pontoon which was delivered to the dock so we made the most of it & ignored the house issues. We're just glad we didn't rent it for a vacation spotPictures are of the real view you'll see, the closets in bedrooms & a FEW of the cobwebs. Just being honest
