This pink door shotgun (half a double shotgun, a common architectural style in the South) opens into a sunny living room with a daybed and a striped cupboard rescued from a well-known musician. The next room is an art-filled dining room with seating for 6-8 people and then a full kitchen with a washer and dryer. There’s a long, art-lined hallway, a big airy bedroom with a queen bed with a good mattress, crisp cotton sheets and quilts. The bathroom has a tub and a japanese bidet toilet seat.
There’s lots of original art on the walls (some for sale, please ask if you’re interested). Finally, the house is protected with biogeometrical devices, elements and crystals placed to keep the energy harmonious and undisturbed.
We've got a brand-new roof & HVAC system so the AC is fresh and the heat works quickly. There’s also a 5-stage reverse osmosis water purifier in the kitchen, so no need to buy drinking water.
It’s a short walk to the colleges or the great restaurants & coffee shops on Freret, a slightly longer walk to Magazine Street or Wholefoods. This neighborhood is a peaceful little oasis to recover from the French Quarter or downtown. This is a perfect place to stay whilst visiting colleges or to look in on and look after your babies while they're on campus.

Awesome stay in uptown NOLA! Very clean property with lots of space and charm. Host was very communicative and went above and beyond with essentials for the weekend. Super close walk to Tulane/Loyola with easy streetcar access. Would 100% stay here again!!!!
The house house was the perfect fit for a relaxing stay. A luxury toilet! Very clean & a nice kitchen to cook in. She got us some “starter” items which went above & beyond expectations! That was such a lovely touch. The location is EXCELLENT. Quite side street in a beautiful area of town very walkable & close to a lot of great restaurants & bars. Very accessible to the whole city. She was a great host! 10/10

About the host
Hosted by Ameena Meer
I’m a world traveler myself and just relocated from Venice Beach, California (after 30 years in NYC) to New Orleans. My family is originally from India. I work as a medical intuitive and energy healer and it was important to me to create a space that both embraced and nurtured the people who stay here.
Why they chose this property
I found my neighborhood by showing up in New Orleans and spending 10 days walking and walking and walking. What I love about this spot is the sense of safety, tranquility and calm, in the midst of a busy city. I also love that I can easily spend days without every getting in my car - almost all my needs are within walking distance. Last, I wanted a place where a single woman could walk alone at night without feeling nervous.
What makes this property unique
What makes this space so special is the sense of peace and joy inside the home. It is an energetic and healing oasis.
