Wonderful Villa!
The villa is amazing. Great layout, décor, furnishings and views. The Lanai is awesome, pool was perfect and sunsets were amazing. Stayed 2 weeks and the entire experience was great.
We enjoyed our stay and found the property to be very nice and relaxing. Questions were addressed quickly and communication was pleasant.

Thank you for your great review of PRESERVE VIEW and ALOHA FLORIDA VACATION RENTAL. Our goal is to provide our guests with the best experience possible, and we strive to handle any unexpected events quickly and to your satisfaction.
Hope to see you back soon in always sunny Florida.
This was our second use of the property within a three month period. It is quiet and isolated on the Preserve view — we love the solitude. The neighbors are quiet and we fit right in. We had the property for September 2022. The last week we heeded the warnings and vacated on Tuesday prior to Hurricane Ian chewing through the Cape on Wednesday. We sure hope it fared well as we would likely return.
The pictures do not do this property justice. Our first thought was that it seemed so much larger. This is likely due to the soaring ceiling height. The lanai privacy was better than expected and the neighborhood is so quiet and close to Cape Harbor and Pine Island.
We highly recommend this property.
This home is very relaxing with a great view. Beds were extremely comfortable. Pool area is beautiful, only wish they had some type of railing to help get on and out of the pool. Living room furniture is very comfortable and in great shape, just lacks a reclining chair. Decorations in this home were very tasteful and enjoyable. We did cook here and found just about everything we needed. We would love to come back only wish small dogs were allowed here. Thank you so much for sharing your wonderful home with us.
My wife and I stayed for a week in early April. The home is on a canal facing west into some mangroves - there are no other homes across the canal resulting in peace, quiet, and privacy. The home is very nice inside, with some classy and quirky decorating. Virtually everything we needed was provided, with a well stocked kitchen. There were plenty of recreation items such as bikes and kayaks in the garage, and a closet full of pool toys out by the patio. The pool deck was gorgeous, with a nice pool and hot tub, and plenty of comfortable furniture and tables. The property manager talked me through the operation of the pool and spa controls over the phone, which was very helpful. The beds and linens were clean and comfortable, and the master bathroom was a real treat. Overall, a wonderful home and highly recommended.
We have been looking forward to this trip since the pandemic started. We have had to make changes and we have always been treated with respect and courtesy. We were finally able to relax in a beautiful and comfortable home. It was so wonderful to wake up everyday and look out onto the water and watch the fish jump right out of the water. Our property manager, Caprice, was very attentive and great to work with.
We loved our time on Surfside Drive! This beautiful home was very spacious for our family of 5. Tall ceilings made the space feel even larger! The pool and lanai were the highlight of our stay at this house. The view of the preserve made us feel like we had plenty of privacy, and the sunsets were breathtaking. Definitely will come back again. Truly a peaceful, relaxing vacation 😊
We just came home from our amazing week at the Pelican. We have a pretty nice home here in Illinois but no pool. First time returning from a VRBO vacation and were not excited about being home. We actually extended our stay, lucky it wasn't booked. The pool was perfect for us( my husband and & I). We want to return with our 2 adult children. The place is set up great for 3 couples. Master suite very private. Bed is comfortable. Large open concept. But we lived out in the lanai. Only criticism is you have to pay for elect. Out cost was $50 for us 2. Left thermostate alone in main house at 78 but bedroom set at 72 at night . That was the coldest you could make it. Would have liked colder. We didn't use the spa but Caprice showed us how. She was great!! Very clean, interesting decor- jungle theme. Wouldn't want for myself but was appropriate for the setting. Out on dock was very peaceful in mornings. Safe walkable neighborhood. Did alot of cooking, they had everything. It was nice to have bikes. It really had everything we needed. Only thing strange I think is they make you do the laundry before you leave. Not appropriate in my mind since we paid cleaning fee, but oh well price for paradise!
Great pool and spa, very roomy house. Kitchen was very well equipped. Screen in pool area was ripped and got worse over the week. There were a few lightbulbs that were burned out but overall a very nice place! Good location.

This home is lovely. I'm adding details for guests who look for them.
6 things to tweak:
1. When we arrived, a sign listed the property manager to contact but when we communicated with them, they said the house had no property manager & they didn't know answers to our questions. Confusing!
2. The property needs a GUEST BINDER for rules & instructions. We had a lot of back and forth contact with the non-property-manager to figure out equipment and find out #3 below. Most questions could have been handled in a GUEST BINDER.
3. We found out we were NOT allowed the option to:
· Adjust the thermostat (uncomfortably warm many nights)
· Use the DVD player (it was an AMENITY LISTED at the time that we purposely looked for as we need this for homeschool)
· Lock the back door screen "ever" (due to weekly pool service)
· Close the remote blinds (even though the hot late afternoon sun pierced the living room and shone on our faces in the only place we could connect an old laptop to make up for the off-limits DVD player)
4 The contract states we pay for excess electricity use but were not told how to turn off pool lights/heat and were not allowed to use the blinds to block the sun to reduce fan and A/C use. I believe these were the majority of the electric bill we received at the end of our stay. After a week, I figured out how to adjust the pool temp because it was heating all day even on days we were gone!
5 Listing had some inaccuracies. No 4th bike, no DVD use. Maybe not a big deal for your trip but these were *specifically* the two features why we chose this property over another similar one.
6 When I mentioned the thermostat, we were told it was OK to leave windows open at night because sleeping w/ the doors unlocked was "fine" in that neighborhood. I thought it an odd suggestion. Not every guest will come from a background where they feel safe leaving doors & windows unlocked, even in kids' rooms.
PROS:
° Home is lovely
° Pool is heated & easy to manage with the remote (once you figure out how)
° The view is pretty and peaceful
° Bedrooms and common spaces are spacious
° Office was helpful for holding client calls
° Neighborhood is walkable & safe
° Fun to hear night birds talking & hunting
° Great to have use of the garage
A GREAT HOUSE! The addition of a guest binder, use of the DVD player, and allowing blinds to be lowered on hot days would have made this trip a 5-star stay for our family.
We stayed here for 7 days. Check in was easy and contactless (emailed instructions ahead of time, call/txt when we arrived at the house). The house is exactly as pictured, amazing and immaculate. We spoke with Caprice and she was amazing and responsive. Not pictured but available were 3 bikes as well as 3 kayaks. Though you are right next to your neighbors, the house is super private as the landscaping makes your backyard/pool area complete unseen from neighbors. Great location, loved the west facing backyard onto the nature preserve. Everything was flawless and I wish we could have stayed for the whole month :)
