Excellent communications made check in and out a breeze. The instruction manual was detailed and covered every aspect of the residence. The property is exquisite and couldn't be locatd better for exploring Gion. I enthusiastically recommend this property for families and couples.

Lovely stay

Tomomi's Machiya in Kyoto is a lovely way to experience a slice of life on our visit to the city. She provided such great instructions and helpful advise for restaurants and sites around the area. We loved our stay and wish we could have stayed longer. The Machiya was perfect. Thank you Tomomi!

Traditional home

It was very interesting to sit on the futon’s on the heated floors around the table. We enjoyed the close family togetherness. The bathrooms were very modern and nice. The stairs were tricky if you’re older. We loved our time there.

This is a lovely house to stay in. It is close to everything that we wanted to see in Kyoto and walkable to Gion and many beautiful places. The house is comfortable and very well maintained. Highly recommend!

清水寺のすぐ近くという立地で、こんな素敵な宿に泊まれて最高でした。 古き良き日本家屋でありながら、床暖房などの設備が整っていて清潔で非の打ち所のない宿です。 キッチンで簡単な調理をしたり、自分たちで楽しみながら宿泊するスタイルが好みであれば本当にオススメです。 贅沢な時間を過ごさせていただきました。ありがとうございました！
