About this property
Winter Serenity in a Luxury Glamping Dome
Discover a Grand Canyon dome stay that blends wilderness with boutique comfort.
This spacious canvas dome sits on 30 acres of private land just 30 minutes from the Grand Canyon South Rim. The design features panoramic windows, inviting you to soak in endless desert skies, glowing sunsets, and breath-taking stargazing.
Inside, you’ll enjoy:
- A real bed with flannel linens, blankets, and cozy seating
- Towels, lighting, and thoughtful amenities for comfort
- A peaceful, private atmosphere far from crowds
Step outside to:
- Your own fire ring with complimentary firewood
- Refreshing shared outdoor showers to complete the glamping experience (unavailable during the winter months of December–February/March, reopening the shower is weather dependent on the late Winter/early Spring months)
Winter Shower Notice:
Please be aware that the on-site showers will be unavailable during the winter months (December–February/March) due to freezing temperatures in the Arizona desert. A clean and well-maintained shared restroom will still be available for guest use.
Unlike standard campgrounds or chain hotels, this dome offers true seclusion, privacy, and nature-first design, all within easy reach of Williams, Tusayan, Flagstaff, and Sedona.
Ideal for romantic getaways, bucket-list trips, or quiet retreats, your stay promises adventure without sacrificing comfort.
Getting Here:
Our property is just 30 minutes from the South Rim entrance of Grand Canyon National Park.
- By Car: From I-40, take State Road 64 North toward the Grand Canyon. At mile marker 219, turn right on Woodland Ranch Rd. Drive 3 miles, then turn left on Horizon Star Rd. After 1/4 mile, turn left into our driveway.
- Road Conditions: Our property sits on 30 acres of peaceful, off-grid desert landscape, which means the final stretch to reach us includes unpaved ranch roads. These roads are typical for rural Northern Arizona, mostly packed dirt and gravel with some naturally uneven sections.
To ensure a smooth arrival:
Any standard vehicle can reach the property in normal weather. Guests arrive in sedans, compact cars, and SUVs every week. You do not need a 4x4.
Drive slowly and take your time on the last 3–4 miles. The road is bumpy in spots due to the natural terrain, but going around 10 mph makes it very manageable.
Weather note: After heavy rain or winter storms, the road may be softer in some areas.
Most guests describe the drive as “part of the adventure” and love how the remote setting adds to the experience once they arrive.
- On Arrival: Continue along the gravel road another 1/4 mile until you reach two shipping containers. Park in the designated area, where your camp host will greet you and escort you to your dome.
- Parking: Free parking is provided onsite.
Dome 2 is styled with warm desert tones and cozy textures, creating a welcoming retreat after a day at the Grand Canyon. The centerpiece is a queen bed dressed in soft linens and a colorful Southwestern blanket, complemented by a twin daybed with a pull-out trundle—perfect for families or friends traveling together.
Natural light filters through the floor-to-ceiling curtains, brightening the spacious dome and highlighting details like the cowhide rug, wood floors, and woven textiles. A pair of chairs and a side table provide a comfortable sitting area, while a dresser and open wardrobe add convenient storage. The thoughtful layout balances rustic character with modern comfort, making the space both practical and inviting
