About the host
Hosted by Allison And Stephen Wilden

My wife and the family, Jessica and Jack love traveling to France for our holidays, we find the French people very welcoming and the country full of fantastic places to visit.
Why they chose this property
We had been to many places in france, but found this area one of the best in regards of weather, beaches and things to keep the children very happy and entertained, we didn't want the hussle of busy resorts but the traquility and natural wildlife right on our door step feel, and we found it with this barn, surrounded with sweetcorn fields two large ponds and ousing wildlife such as wild boar, roe deer, ragondin, praying mantis, glow worms ect.
What makes this property unique
The piece and quite of the fantastic French countryside, right on natures door step with a front row seat to sit back and watch the wild life and within 15 minutes of the busy seaside resort of La Tranche sur mer!!
The barn was built with ancient stone from the old monasterys of Moutiers and retain a lot of the original features of the old cattle barn, with walls nearly two foot thick the barn keeps mostly cool in the summer.Inside feels very big and airy and is very homely.
We love waking up in the morning and having breakfast outside on the east facing decking with the sun shining down on us, in the evening its out on the front for the evening BBQ whilst watching the sun set...Fantastic.
