Overall, great property. The stars were amazing and mostly a quiet area. It was next to an atv area, but the riders stopped around 9pm. The only thing that wasn’t clean was the hot tub. There was residual scum that was dry all around the inner jacuzzi. It would have been helpful to have some paper towels or hand towel in kitchen after hand washing. But overall-a quiet, clean and cool place to rest my head.

Welcome to Desert Sage Retreat, a quiet desert micro-resort on the Arizona and Utah border. We love this corner of the desert, and we set the place up so guests can slow down, soak in the red rock views, and still be less than an hour from Zion. Bryce and the North Rim make easy day trips too.

Choose from a modern micro-cabin, a cozy cabin, a safari style canvas tent, or a covered wagon that photographs beautifully.

On site you'll find a 6-person sauna, outdoor showers, hot showers and bathrooms, picnic tables, grills, fire pits, and a kitchen open around the clock (quiet hours keep everyone well rested). The skies are dark enough for real stargazing.

Whether you're driving in from Las Vegas for the weekend or traveling a long way to see the parks, we hope it feels like a calm, uncrowded home base for exploring red rock country. If you need anything during your stay, just ask. We're happy to point you toward our favorite trails and viewpoints.
