Overall a decent place to stay, but there are definitely a few issues that should be resolved:- lack of curtains/draperies in the larger bedroom, while not significantly impacting privacy, does result in the inability to sleep any later than sunrise, as the sun comes in VERY strongly thru the entire wall of unobstructed windows.- lack of garbage disposal in the sink is definitely an inconvenience that could be easily remedied- several elevation changes in the home due to multiple additions create hazards, esp. into the main living area where the step down is patched together by stacked flagstones of different sizes - a number of people tripped over the larger stone at the base as it is at least 18" away from the actual doorway.- difficult entry into the front door because of uneven and poorly maintained dirt/stone steps- cheap, mismatched, and insufficient flatware in the kitchen was a challenge for having enough to go around- insufficient supply of toilet paper & dishwasher soap for a stay of 1 week. Toilet paper was easily the thinnest available on the planet. We went out & bought our own.- Overall fairly well cleaned upon arrival, but the outdoor furniture hadn't been cleaned in weeks, & we found a dirty pillowcase flung over the lamp in 1 bedroom.- Other than the flatware, the kitchen was fairly well equipped with dishes, pots and pans, and appliances. Frying pans are very old & need to be replaced.- This could be a very nice place with a few inexpensive fixes

Eileen, this pretty home is one of our newest listings. One week ago, we added curtains to the main bedroom, after we had several kind requests from guests recommending those be added. No one has reported any other issues with this home, but after seeing your review, we will be checking and adding all new flatware and pans. We will contact the lovely owner of this quaint, older Estes Park home and ask if she would like to add a garbage disposal. Many of the older cabins in Estes Park do not have them, but we are happy to accommodate when we can. There have been no reports of elevation issues or issues with the flagstones, but we will send our truly stellar maintenance team over and make sure everything is safe and secure. In our listings, we do clearly state that we provide a "starter pack of supplies." We happily bring guests more goods though, whenever requested. When you called our after hours emergency number upset about an ironing board, we had one to you immediately and we would do the same on any other issues, given the chance. Most of these homes are on sensitive septic systems and we try to purchase good quality septic safe toilet paper. We also have an outstanding cleaning team. They get rave reviews from our guests. I saw the photo of the bedroom lamp that you sent us. Someone had left a small washcloth on the top. I am assuming they laid it there when cleaning and missed it. I know that was troubling and am very sorry our team missed that during our inspections.

Cabin was perfect for our family of 4. We we close to everything in Estes and RMNP. Front porch was the best and inside had charming accents and all the necessary features to feel at home. Thank you!

This house is a gem in Estes Park. It is large and very clean. The kitchen was stocked with necessities. There is even a nice cabinet stocked with spices. Central air was excellent and needed after long hikes in heat which we had a few days. Unfortunately, new dishwasher stopped working after 1 load. They sent a handyman to fix and was unable to do so. Not too much of an issue, but disappointed to have to wash dishes when paying for a nice place. They left extra soap for us to do dishes. Bathroom had 4 rolls of paper for 5 days.House is close to town, but we found unable to walk as it requires to walk a road down that has a 10% grade with no sidewalk. After 6:00, parking is free in town. RMNP is a close ride to both entrances.Beds were okay. I would have liked a mattress topper at least. Both beds are only queen size, so when other person rolls, you do too. We were so tired from hiking, didn't bother us too much.Three things we suggest: 1st, in back bedroom, there are no curtains or blinds on back windows. I understand there is forrest area behind the house, but I felt like I was in a fish bowl. More importantly, we were woken up about 5:00 am every morning due to the sun coming in. 2nd, it would be nice to have tvs in bedrooms. 3rd, be careful with kitchen chairs. They have metal wheels on them on tile flooring. Very slippery, the chairs slide out from under you. Overall, I give it 9/10 stars. We loved the area!

Hi Kim! Thanks so much for your review and feedback! So happy that everything was clean and well stocked! We loved hosting you! There is actually another way to walk to town that does not require going down that steep grade! If you walk through the neighborhood to Highway 7, downtown is about a mile away and you avoid that steep drop into town. We sincerely apologize about the new dishwasher. We got that error code fixed and it is working perfectly now. So very sorry for any inconvenience that caused! We spoke with the owner and have purchased curtains for that back bedroom! We appreciate that feedback! We hope to see you again soon in Estes Park!
