We came for a Michigan football game. Nice town and great property, more affordable than staying in Ann Arbor or Detroit but not too far! Easy access to the city and the airport.

No central air. Bedrooms were very hot and stuffy. Unable to open windows because there aren’t anyscreens. There are overhead fans but still too hot for comfortable sleeping. Air conditioner in living room was FILTHY and leaking water. (Owner put plastic garbage can underneath to catch water), which is indicative of her knowing it was not in proper working condition. We had to clean it to use until a replacement was provided. When new ac was brought in (a rolling ac), staff did not vent outside and upon return from a day out, the house was hot from hot air blowing all day inside. With some pressure, staff agreed for us to access venting material locked in a closet. We had to install ourselves with electrical tape that happened to be in a drawer. The owner was responsive in replacing broken ac, but dismissive about the filthy condition of the original ac. She SHOULD have known about this before renting to us. She simply said the prior tenant didn’t complain about it. Windows and doors in the house are filthy. Really filthy. Owner said basically….oh well, the house is on a dirt road. Garbage can outside was completely full, with barely space for our one bag of garbage. Overhead fans in the kitchen/living rm area were difficult to operate. The light switches that operate them were marked “do not touch”, when in fact they needed to be switched to use the fans. No batteries in the tv remote, or any extra in the unit. No extra light bulb for burned out one in living room.
