2/10 Terrible

I rarely leave negative reviews, but our experience was so disappointing that I feel others should know what happened. When we checked into our rental, the first thing we noticed was how hot it was inside. The thermostat was set to 72, yet the temperature remained at 79. After unpacking and going out for dinner, we returned to find it hadn't cooled at all. We called for service, and the HVAC technician discovered the unit was sparking and had to be shut off immediately. He informed the man on duty that the compressor was bad, the unit needed to be replaced, and that it had been repaired previously. We were left without air conditioning for the night. Communication after that was handled almost entirely by text, which felt very unprofessional. Brittany offered three options, but staying was our only realistic choice. She brought fans and refunded 230, which we were told covered the cleaning fee after we discovered a mouse living in the unit.Unfortunately, the AC wasn't the only issue. The microwave door was broken, several lights didn't work, dirty dishes were left in the dishwasher, and the towel rack repeatedly fell off the wall.To make matters worse, we were promised 50% off our stay via text, but ultimately received only 50% off the accommodation fare, which was not what was promised. After this experience, we will not stay at another Sea Colony property again. The number of maintenance and cleanliness issues suggests these problems are not being properly addressed.
