I booked a weekend trip for my parents and they really enjoyed it!! Their favorite thing was sitting in the patio together and drinking coffee while overlooking the river

This was the cutest little place and great for a couples get away. Very close to the river which was nice to listen to at night. It was very quiet and still felt very private even with the owner right next door. Burnsville was such a treat to explore and even though it rained the whole time we were not bored and did lots of exploring! I really enjoyed the bathtub and getting a good soak while i read my book. Kerry was the nicest and the whole property is beautiful. Would stay here again!

Beautiful cabin that is tastefully decorated. Very comfortable, beautiful scenery, clean, and the bed was amazing. I would give a 5 star rating, but there was no shower, just a beautiful stand alone tub. I wish I would of paid more attention when booking; a shower is a must for us. The water for the tub, was luke warm at best, but we were able to put hot water in a pan from the kitchen to take a hot bath. Loved the area and trips to Burnsville. The Pig and Grits Restaurant was great food, we recommend the burnt ends, coleslaw, and banana pudding. The atmosphere at Snap Dragon Bar/Restaurant was fun, enjoyed the fried pickles (their specialty). Ate at a great diner called Lil' Smokey, where had amazing coconut cake for breakfast (along with biscuits and gravy) and fun hospitality. Great place to visit!Also, no TV in cabin at all, which, we missed for background noise/music. Internet worked well. Host was a great communicator and supplied everything needed for the stay.

Hi Xanthe! Thank you for coming out! I do wish you would have let me know about the water temperature. No one had mentioned anything previously. We turned the heat up on the water heater and it is now really hot. And yes, I designed this space for people looking for a romantic get away, so hence the stand up bathtub and the decision not to put a television in the space. And to be clear, there is a shower head but yes, one does need to take care of that while in the bathtub. And my hope is that people coming out here might enjoy the sounds of the river and the amazing stars out at night as opposed to screens. Thank you for giving me the space to address those decisions. This is not the space for folks looking for a "hotel experience."

We absolutely loved our stay. The bungalow is beautiful with a chic rustic style that feels like it has always belonged in the mountains while still feeling fresh and updated.The creek was our favorite part. Watching and listening to it from bed was so peaceful. It was exactly what my husband and I needed to disconnect and recharge.The WiFi was spotty on our first day, but it worked fine after that. We expected that in the mountains, so it was not an issue for us. If you need perfect internet for work, this may not be the place. If you want peace and quiet, it is perfect.The owners were welcoming and showed us how to access the river. We also loved the sweet orange cat who stopped by the patio.Thank you for sharing such a special place. We would absolutely stay here again.

We loved having you! We have had several "road warrior" guests who are transient because they work virtually who sometimes stay a week at a time and haven't heard of any internet issues, so far! So I am not sure why you had some glitches the first day. Sorry about that! And that creek is the Cane River dear woman. :) Hope you guys had a great time at the wedding!
