Casa Luz - an oasis for discovery and adventure

From a topographical perspective, CASA LUZ forms the south-facing tip of the Malhada. The three terraces invite you to use them as outdoor spaces. Here, everyone can find their own sunny spots and quiet retreats throughout the day, with dynamic shadows created by the partially traditional bamboo roofing.

In the interior design, we prioritised a spacious and open feel on both levels. The dining and living area is structured around our custom-tiled kitchen island as its centrepiece. A fireplace and a lounge area provide a cosy atmosphere.

This layout brings the cooking experience to life with its social atmosphere and features, in addition to a modern gas stove with an oven, a spacious dishwasher and a large refrigerator with a freezer compartment that offers ample space for the weekly groceries. As in CASA COLINAS, food lovers will find a well-thought-out, fully equipped kitchen with all the utensils needed to prepare the delicacies brought back from the markets.

Sleeping accommodation is located on the ground floor and the upper floor. Both bedrooms feature modern bathrooms with showers and toilets.

We have furnished each bedroom with large queen-size beds.

The access road winds away from the high street at the signposted turnoff along a 2.4 km-long, winding gravel road typical of the region, nestled in the picturesque hilly landscape.
