Nice stay!

The location was as pictured and check in/ out was easy. The tourist tax must be paid in cash, but the host was very upfront about this, and it was not an issue! There were limited amenities, but it was ok for the time we were there. Overall, a pleasant stay.

Great location and communication by the host. The apartment is basic and worked really well as a base to explore Venice and the islands. One draw back - we’re used to good mattresses at home and unfortunately, we did not find the double bed or fifth bed (a single fold out bed) comfortable.

The owner forced us to pay cash at the property, we wanted to pay by credit card but he did not accept. Even when we asked if we can pay to Vrbo based on our saved credit card he did not accept. At night we had to go to Bank ATM and withdraw cash to pay.

Great location and comfortable apartment

The apartment was clean and in a great location. My only suggestion is to provide better towels. They were very worn and ragged. It was a perfect location for 1 night. We did have an issue with the garbage man yelling at us in the morning for garbage that an animal must have got into during the night and scattered it around the area in front of the apartment. It wasn't our garbage, but we saw someone left garbage in front of our door the night before.

The apartment was adequate for our stay. It was nice to be off the main tourist trail, though I was surprised by the amount of foot traffic going by late at night. There was no air conditioning or fan so if you are staying during the summer be prepared to sweat. A lot. One other drawback was the grocery was closed for siesta and all day on Sunday, as were all the other little stores in the area. Make sure you have what supplies you need. Would I stay here again? Probably not. The heat did us in.

Nice apartment but...

We arrived early (as i am sure most overseas guests do) we asked about a early checkin and we offerred 1 hour early, but host was testy about it. Wanted us to pay tourist tax and was unhappy because all we had at this point was us dollars and credit card (which he wouldnt use. Then he left. Told us nothing about the apartment, give us a map, point out grocery or anything else. Had us sign a piece of paper and left hardly even a hello and made sure to tell us our checkout would be 1 hour earlier since we checked in an hour early. Has air conditioning, however it was not in use and he told us do not touch the thermostat. So no ac. Keys are flaky in italy, since this was our first stop we didnt know and thought we had locked ourselves out. This gentleman probably doesn't need to be in hosptality since he is NOT very hospitable.

Clean Apartment

The apartment was very clean and Franco was very accommodating of our late (airline induced) arrival. Be aware that the owner will have to meet you at a prearranged location/time to show you where the apartment is, give you the key, collect the rent, and give you a tour of the apartment. If you have any travel faux pas, this can be stressful. Though not his fault, calling Franco from a payphone at the airport was expensive and difficult. The apartment is removed from the highly touristy area, making it considerably more quiet (though there is foot traffic past the ground floor bedroom window all night--something to consider if you will sleep with the window open). The apartment had been updated, and was furnished with older items. It was about a 5-10 minute walk to Plaza San Marco, and about a 1 hour walk to the train station. (FYI, Venice is an incredible maze! Make sure to get a map as soon as you arrive. You can't get too lost--you're on an island...but you may never find your way back to your lodging!!). We were disappointed on a few points. The listing advertises WiFi. There was none that we could access from the apartment. We actually chose this apartment in order to have access to the clothes washer, and we were told that we were not allowed to use it. Lastly, it was our understanding that the owner was supposed to meet us to collect the key when we left. He never arrived, so we had to hide the giant skeleton key (you couldn't lock the door from inside).

Bonjour. Cet appartement est presque parfait. Bien situé, au calme. Propre. Le seul souci que j'ai eu, mais ça n'est pas rédhibitoire non plus, c'est qu'il n'y a pas de micro-onde. Pour le petit déjeuner avec des enfants c'est embêtant. Mais bon, on a survécu. Lol. Je recommande fortement et nous y reviendrons à l'occasion. Merci pour votre accueil. :-)

Lage, Lage, Lage

Die Lage dieser Ferienwohnung war wirklich hervorragend. Sie bot eine großartige Ausgangsbasis, um die Stadt zu erkunden, und der Supermarkt in der Nähe war äußerst praktisch. Besonders gut war die Tatsache, dass man in nur 10 Minuten zu Fuß am Markusplatz sein konnte. Der Check-in und Check-out verliefen reibungslos, und es war immer einfach, jemanden zu erreichen, falls Fragen aufkamen. Der Kontakt mit den Vermietern war ebenfalls unkompliziert und angenehm. Ein kleines Manko war jedoch die Sauberkeit der Wohnung. In einigen Ecken hätte es durchaus etwas sauberer sein können. Das war schade, da ansonsten alles andere so positiv war.

The neighborhood is beautiful, but a little secluded from the main attractions. Very few stores or markets nearby. The kitchen was poorly stocked. The apartment smelled of mold and mildew.

Gutes Städtetour-Domizil

Gute Unterkunft für eine Städtetour zu viert. Zu fünft könnte es ein bisschen eng werden. Abstimmung bei Anreise klappt super, man wird ab der Vaporetto-Station persönlich durch die engen Gässchen geführt. Wohnung ist zweckmäßig eingerichtet, sieht aus, wie auf den Fotos im Angebot. Ruhig aber zentral gelegen (5-10 min zum Markusplatz)

Mi peor estancia en Venecia.

La estancía en este apartamento ha sido la peor experiencia en mis diez años de visita a Venezia . Era sucio , con mucha humedad ,viejo , los somier y colchones para cambiar absolutamente todos . Venden la posibilidad de 5 personas pero esa quinta cama no es otra que un sofá de una plaza antiquísimo y deformado que cuando lo abres y haces"cama" está de lado , amorfo y en ningún caso se puede utilizar . Si pides un cambio de esta pieza te la deniegan en rotundo así que es para 4 personas y sin problemas para dormir en un sitio , que no creo que limpien en los cambios de cliente ( sólo las sabanas) , con telarañas en esquinas , polvo , pelos , horno con porquería acumulada desde no se sabe cuando , en fin , no rescato ni siquiera la ubicación, puesto que a pesar de estar en Castello, resulta que su ubicación es un poco laberíntica y no se accede rápidamente a los puntos que se suponen cerca . Hago este comentario para poder ayudar a los próximos inquilinos y que no se lleven el disgusto que nos llevamos nosotros. Teníamos alquilados más apartamentos porque fue un viaje familiar y nos repartimos entre los otros ...
