Casa Gemelos is a Luxurious Oceanfront Vacation Home on the Southern End of Isla

This stunning oceanfront villa is located directly on the Caribbean in the desirable Punta Sur
area of Isla Mujeres, and the views must be seen to be appreciated. Casa Gemelos, or "Twin
Houses", is a duplex home that features one of the largest pools on Isla Mujeres, that is so
close to the ocean you will think you are actually swimming in the Caribbean. This property
consists of two private residences, northside and southside. The northside has three king
bedrooms each with private bath and an open concept great room with den, dining room,
gourmet kitchen and laundry room. Should more than three king bedrooms be desired, the
southside offers two additional king bedrooms each with private bath, that open onto the
common breezeway.
Some of our amenities include daily housekeeping, except Sundays, to provide freshly cleaned
bedrooms, towels, kitchen and common areas. The property also comes with bi-weekly pool
service for sparkling water, and weekly lawn and gardening service to provide the perfect setting for total relaxation.
The home boasts a massive covered patio with outdoor sofa, rockers and dining table, a
covered balcony with hanging queen bed, granite counter tops, handcrafted furniture, cooling
consuela stone flooring throughout, laundry room and Starlink internet. There is an outdoor
kitchen with both charcoal and propane BBQs, smoker and pizza oven. In addition to the 46
foot negative edge infinity pool, there is a separate heated dipping pool which holds about 8
people, and an outdoor shower.
Gaze out toward the sea and your own personal stretch of coastline from the infinity pool at your
upcoming vacation, wedding, family reunion or other large gathering. Casa Gemelos is a short
walk to the lovely Punta Sur area with shops and hiking path, or a quick taxi or golf cart ride to
such attractions as the world-renowned Playa Norte, nightlife on Ave Hildago, and shopping and
restaurants in Centro.
Each bedroom contains a king bed, high thread count cotton sheets and cotton coverlets. For
additional sleeping, an extra twin bed can also be set up in each bedroom (upon request a
minimum of 48 hours prior to arrival). Each bedroom is equipped with a safe for guests to store
their important belongings.
Get ready to listen to the waves crashing on shore and watch for dolphins and giant sea turtles
while enjoying the vast outdoor space and pool. Delight in the stunning sunrise and enjoy the
cool trade wind breezes that make this Caribbean side of the island so popular.
Ownership lives part time in a private suite in the southside residence and is available to help
with any concerns.

This house and situation are complicated. Good first: Casa Gemelos has a great location & views are stunning. Pool is large & hot tub beautiful. Kitchen is well equipped. The cleaning service is great, management responsive. One AC unit wasn't working and they replaced it the next day. The co-owner/host, Maureen, is nice. The bad/complicated: We reserved for 15 days over Christmas. The photos showed 2 living spaces & 2 oceanfront bedrooms. Upon arrival, we were told that the other co-owners were occupying 1 oceanfront bedroom and 1 oceanfront living space. After protest, Maureen got us access to the 2nd sitting/living space, but not the 2nd oceanfront bedroom (although she tried). The misleading pictures of those extra rooms have been taken down, but you would still assume, looking at the overall picture of the house, that you would have lots of ocean-facing rooms. You do not. There are only 4 oceanfront rooms and the co-owners are occupying 2. Nor is it 3600 sqft without occupied rooms.The co-owners weren't around, but they could be. The listing phrase "on site management" is a euphemism for sharing the space with co-owners.The 4 back bedrooms are plenty large, but dark and not that pleasant. If you had more than 6 people (3 bedrooms), you really need more living space than the 1 living area (eg dining table holds 6).When you can be outside, the small living space doesn't matter, but it does when it is raining or someone needs work space. Overall, nice but complicated.

Comfortable, Clean and Quiet!

This property is stunning, with spectacular views! The home is sparkling clean and the management team that supports keeping it that way is five star! It is on the quiet end of the island, which we loved! A short golf cart ride to the hustle and bustle, many restaurants and small stores near by. There were 13 of us and we all loved our time at Casa Gemelos! Was hard to say goodbye!

Perfect getaway for a large group

We spent our spring break at Casa Gemelos and it was the perfect fit for our group. The house have so much social space in and outside. It was very well maintained and in a great location with easy access via golf carts to everything on the island. Would definitely rent again.

We loved our "family reunion" stay at this wonderful oasis! A beautiful property situated overlooking the ocean and a front row seat to gorgeous sunrises every morning. Phenomenal House & Phenomenal Owners

There aren’t enough words to describe this house and the island. Everything was Phenomenal!! The owners of the house went above and beyond to support us before and during our stay. We had so much fun, so much space, so much hospitality the list goes on and on. Great dinner and excursion recommendations etc. If you don’t book here you are truly missing out on a gem!

It was nice having a property manager and cleaning lady. The house is stocked with plenty of dishes, if you want to cook at the house. We rented golf carts and road around the island. It’s a short ride from one end of the island to the other. A lot of fun!

Great property. The pool and the views were fantastic. Perfect location on the island. We did have some maintenance issues(ac/power outages ) but sometimes things just happen. What was important though, once management was notified it was taken care of immediately. I would come back.

We were 11…. 6adults 5 kids. Loved having the place all to our selves. Would be nice to have extra sheets and blankets on hand in the closestes for those extra beds in the bedrooms. Also, it would be handy to have some hooks in the living room bathrooms. To hang our towels during the day.

Dream Vacation for Large Family

Casa Gemelos provided the perfect home base for our summer family vacation. We had a large group (9 adults, 2 teenagers, and 4 kids under the age of 7) and we had plenty of space and everything we needed. The pool provided endless hours of entertainment for the kids and a perfect spot for the adults to cool off and enjoy the view. We even got lucky and saw a giant pod of dolphins playing in the Caribbean right from the comfort of the pool. Isla Mujeres was the perfect island for a large family vacation and Casa Gemelos was just right for our family. Thank you Maureen for all the help with planning our stay. We couldn’t be happier with our time on the island and our stay at your place. If you have the chance, swim with the whale sharks...an experience of a lifetime! We will be back!

Very Disappointed

All of the websites describing this property show 6 bedrooms with two suites in front. Sleeps 12. We had 11 so no problem, except when we got there one of the two suites with ocean views was the "owners suite," and not available. Because of this, the "value" dropped considerably. So one of us slept in the kitchen area for the first night and a cot thereafter. The owner came in with his wife on the second night about 10 PM, scaring all of us because we didn't know he was coming. He was nice and moved next door for the balance of our stay, but we did not have access to his suite. The other bedrooms had no views. We won't be back.

Great spot for our family reunion!

Our 4 families reunited here for a blissful week at Casa Gemelos. Maureen was incredible, helping us with a range of tips from guidance on where/how to rent golf carts for the week, a private chef for dinner (we used Ariel's amazing team: ariel.adame@outlook.com for 1 dinner and Sebastian from Isla Chef -sebastian@islachef.com for the other, both were incredible) and she was very responsive with a few things that came up with the house (sadly the lower pool which can be heated wasn't working during our stay due to some pump issues, but Maureen attempted to get it fixed all week!). The pictures of the house doesn't do it justice. The property is beautiful. Our kids spent hours in the pool and you can walk along a small path along the bluff all the way down to a lovely sculpture park at the end of Punta Sur. The house is on the south end of town and about a 15min golf cart ride to the heart of town. We liked being out of the hustle/bustle of the main town center to avoid the main tourists, but close enough for shopping and excursions. The main grocery store is ~5-7min away by golf cart with a smaller one closer. Jennifer, who checked us in, recommended an adorable little beach that was protected on a very windy/stormy day and was also available for questions. Anna is a housekeeper and wonderful, she helps with some dishes each day in the morning and keeps rooms clean/towels for pool and showers refilled etc. They have plenty of fresh water in large jugs on hand and even supply Microdyn to wash fruits/veggies. The kitchens are well stocked with everything you need. One thing to keep in mind is that there are essentially 3 rooms on either side, each one on a different level and each one has their own key, none of the rooms are attached or on the main floor leading out to the pool. Each side has a main kitchen and living room space that is on the pool level. If you have someone who has trouble with stairs, this may challenging. All rooms have a King bed and a few have extra mattress which can be pulled out for extra guests. We put 3 kids in 1 room and 3 kids in another, with adults in the other 4 rooms (14 people). The extra living spaces made it easy to find quiet spaces if needed. It was easy to get to/from the island on the Ultramar ferry, which runs every 30min and was never full even during peak season (we were there over Christmas). Catch breakfast at the Mange Cafe! We had an amazing time and highly recommend to others!

Well it was definitely the weirdest rental we have ever had. The property had one of the owners is there staying in the other front suite by the pool. I reached out and they said yes “management can be on the premise”. It was a huge part of the house and literally left zero privacy. We rent a place instead of a hotel or all inclusive for the privacy for my family. While I understand closing off places for when it’s being used by the owners, but the property did not offer any privacy. I also think it’s a safety concern. While I am sure they were fine, I don’t know them and I paid over 9000 for a house so they owners can stay with us for my vacation. After two days I reached out due to being super upset and having a horrible feeling. The other owner states he will move next door to the other property but the onsite owner states well I will still be over here 4-5 times a day because all of our stuff is here. I went back and there is a little message stating management may be on site. No offense, so inappropriate. We stayed in the other front suite and shared the upstairs deck with them too. I would never have booked this place knowing all of this. It literally took away from the whole trip and was never able to really relax. The house it self was nice and the pool was unbelievable but like I said, never private. The one upside is the actual management Isaac was wonderful to work with and tried to help with everything to smooth it over to make it as enjoyable as possible.

This was a get away for a group of friends/family and it didn’t disappoint. Attentive but not intrusive. The house is exactly what’s depicted and anything we could need was made available to us. Thank you all again and we will definitely look at this house for availability for our next trip.

Bachelorette Celebration at Casa Gemelos!

Wow, what a beautiful home and property! We had so much fun hanging by the pool, eating dinner in the outside patio, and walking the oceanside pathway to Punta Sur. The maid service was so nice and the property manager was extremely helpful. Highly recommend staying here, it was magical!

Fantastic Trip with Friends

Myself and 5 other friends stayed here and had an absolute blast. The house was a fantastic layout with matching layouts on each side, and the pool with views was incredible. The hosting team was extremely attentive for any questions we had, the check in process was a breeze, and the daily housekeeping was extremely helpful. Would absolutely try staying here again when we come back!

Perfect Family Vacation

Our favorite house so far

Everything was wonderful. We had a great experience from check in to checkout. Anna kept the houses very clean and tidy and someone was there daily checking on the pool. We will definitely be renting here again.

We are two couples who are best friends and business partners. We have traveled together for many years and now have built our dream property. Hope you enjoy staying as much as we do. One couple lives in the Austin area and the other couple is now living on Isla Mujeres.

Why they chose this property

We chose Isla Mujeres after many years of traveling up and down the Mexican Riviera. It's a 20 min. ride from the cancun airport to the Ultra Mar Ferry, then 15 min. ride across the bay to the island. The island is only 5 miles long and 1/2 mile wide, we love driving around in a golf cart. The people of the island are so kind and inviting, it was easy to fall in love with Isla Mujeres.

What makes this property unique

The sunrise from the pool is magnificent. We built our home at its location because of the
breeze and sound of the waves. Love to watch the sea turtles come up on the beaches at night to lay their eggs. You must swim with the whale sharks when they are in season.
