My friends and I spent 4 glorious nights here. Everything was as expected and the host was so kind and welcoming. She provided us with a home stay with a well equipped family cottage that was cozy and full of charming character. This is a place where we could absolutely come back to!
Overall a very nice stay. The one drawback of this property is the walk to get there....a lot of steps to property from main street. We had suitcases and while we appreciated the good work out; it was a lot to deal with on a repeat trips into town.
We enjoyed our stay here. Close to the train station; mostly uphill but nothing compared to the hiking trails. Easy walk to the beach and restaurants. Loved having a washer available (bring clothespins if you plan on using). AC worked great, bathroom was roomy by European standards. We would stay again!
The property was clean and had everything we needed. The owner even left us with a great bottle of wine. Owner was very prompt in responding to any of our questions. Note: 161 steps
Very nice host. Great communication. Fantastic views, Can sit at the table outside looking at the sea. Spacious apartment. 5 min walk to restaurants and ~10-12min walk to city center. Strongly recommend.

House left in perfect condition by this very nice family
A bit up the hill for walking, but thats Cinque Terre. Would like to have a clothes dryer as clothes took 3 days to dry. Good air conditioning for the hot days.
We spent a week in this lovely home in October, and can wholeheartedly recommend. The home is very spacious for two people, with plenty of closet space, extra blankets for chilly autumn nights, plentiful hot water and a nicely-equipped kitchen.
Hostess Allessandra and her helper, Eduardo, were accessible and helpful. We enjoyed a visit to Allessandra's adorable shop in Levanto.
The home is very private and peaceful with a lovely sea view. Can't wait to return!!
Thank you again to Alessandra! Molto grazie Alessandra!
We came to Cinque Terre to celebrate our mother's 83rd birthday! Alessandra surprised us with a wonderful cake and a bottle of wine! The accommodations were great and Roberto's restaurants suggestions were superb!! We (except for my mom) could walk to and from the new and old sections of MonteRosso easily. I would definitely go back and stay!
Ciao Ciao Mare e Alessandra, Roberto e Claudia!
Arriverderci!

Alessandra‘s property is clean as a pin and a beautiful setting. It has a lovely well kept and shaded front yard, which we used the whole time we were there. The kitchen, bathroom are well set up, and maintained. Everything functioned perfectly. We couldn’t have asked for a better location or hostess. Edward was able get us in and show about the property, and the guide book was self explanatory. Our communication with Alessandra was on a need to know basis, and worked out perfectly. This was our second time to the Cinque Terre, but our first time to Monterosso and we thoroughly enjoyed it.

GREAT APARTMENT, BEAUTIFUL GARDEN
Alessandra - What a pleasure to have met you & thank you for your hospitality. The apartment was beautiful, the garden with sea view was awesome and very private. Five minutes by steps to the beach, train station and main street, and a 10 minute walk to the old town where they have lots of shops and restaurants. The apartment also had private secured parking. The apartment was very well equipped, had everything you could possibly need, lot of glasses, dishes, utensils, etc. It was a great location with easy access by train or boat to visit all the other villages in Cinque Terre. Highly recommend this place & would stay here again when we return to the Cinque Terre area.

Great place to stay in Monterosso Al Mare
We loved our 3 nights stay in Monterosso Al Mare and Cinque Terre. The house is beautifully decorated, spacious and comfortable for a family with 2 kids or 4 adults and has great location close to the beach, shops and restaurants. The kitchen is equipped withe everything you may need. We enjoyed having our breakfasts in the colorful garden in front of the house admiring the magnificent views of the Mediterranean. There is a private parking across the street and a quick pedestrian shortcut to the beach. Alessandra greeted us upon arrival and showed us all the amenities in the house. She also gave us great recommendations for restaurants and sightseeing. The next time we visit this wonderful village we will definitely stay in Alessandra's home.

Thank you for the nice review. I'm glad you enjoyed your stay in my house and l hope to welcome you again in the future
We really didn’t know what to expect as it was our first time to Italy and Monterosso. After a busy and intense few days in Milan, we were warmly welcomed by Edward who was assisting the lovely Alessandra our host. The bottle of wine and Easter eggs were a lovely touch. The property is perched upon a hill overlooking the town. The view is simply stunning. The property is a good size for our family of 4 and our young kids had no trouble sharing a bed.
Edward gave lovely recommendations for local restaurants, supermarket and bakery. We were only a few minutes from the town centre either by the road or the stairs of which there are approximately 170.
I loved being able to get locally made pesto and pasta and to cook it at the property and eat it admiring the view. I also sat there daydreaming of when we can come back!
The location is perfect, I think monterosso is probably the best town to stay in - it’s flat and the only town with a “real” beach. Would have loved to have beach towels (and maybe an extra towel or 2 in general). No toiletries provided, but that’s fine, there were stores in town to buy shampoo and body wash etc. Only thing I was unexpectedly asked to pay for parking in cash. Kind of strange as the listing says parking is provided. Bed not the most comfortable, however I notice this is a regular occurrence across France / Italy. The location and the peacefulness of the place is unbeatable. Seriously. Would recommend, the other towns get waaay too busy and I can imagine would be extremely difficult with luggage. The home is in a safe and quiet location. The kind of area you can imagine living in. Easy checkin. No complaints. View of mountains and ocean from the front yard is a dream. I only wish I was in cinque terre longer.

Hello Alycia, l’m sorry that you haven’t read the descriptions of the house because you could
know that the price of the parking is 12 € every day. The size of the beds in Italy are like mine or a little longer, in France many beds are smaller then mine, whereas in USA the bed are King size. For 3 days we give a set of 3 towels for 2 people, l’m sorry you haven’t find also the beach towels.

Great location, rocky experience
Monterosso is gorgeous! I absolutely love the town, restaurants and people. The beach is gorgeous and the hikes are amazing with breathtaking views.
The house itself is good. It is spacious, clean, a great view, and equipped with a washing machine. I appreciated the locked gate with security lighting.
My biggest concern was the communication with the owner. Alessandra is very demanding of payment prior to the due dates. She speaks very good English through email, but pretend not to know English when there is conflict.
She greeted us when we arrived on time and went over instructions of using the house. Before she left us she asks us to leave by 10:00 AM for checkout because she has cleaners coming. At the rate we paid, I expect to not depart until 11:00 AM which is normal checkout procedure. We paid a costly cleaning service, yet we were expected to clean the dishes, take out the trash, pull the bedding off.
The day we were supposed to check out she arrives at the residence while we were still sleeping. It was very unprofessional. I have a much better experience with 3 of the home rentals that I used during my holiday in Italy.
Overall, I wouldn't stay here again.

1) I didn't request a payment prior to the arrival. However such an automated request is generated by way of the booking site. And in turn, I sent an email to clarify that payment could be made in full upon arrival, and if the payment was made via PayPay then the fees would be for them to cover. Unfortunately the payment was already made, and to reclarify it wasn't my request, for which there was a €28,47 that l paid and didn't ask again for.
2) My English is not very good; it's basic. It's easier for me to write and read than to speak English, especially if the other person speaks very fast. I don't pretend to be' fluent in English, unfortunately I am not. There was never any "conflict" between us.
3) Upon arrival I explained that on their departure day they would have to leave the house by 10:30 a.m. With a same-day turnover the property had to be prepared.
They informed me that they would have to leave in the late afternoon. l told the guests it would be fine for them to leave their luggage and they could return to pick them up before their departure. Then, that same evening, l recalled the new luggage storage service being offered by the Tourist Office just under the train station. l wrote an email to inform them of this option, since logistically it seemed like a better optionfor them in order to avoid going back and forth up the hill to the house. l didn't receive a response to my email and so, the morning of their departure, since l had not seen or heard from the guests, l stopped by the house at 9:30 a.m. l rang the bell to remind them that at 10:30 a.m. the cleaner would arrive to begin the turnover for guests arriving the same day. At 10:30 a.m. the cleaner didn't find the guests at the house and l had to send the security deposit back via PayPal. My house rules clearly state that check-out is by 10.30 a.m. lf else where ceck-out is done at later hours it doesn't concern me or my property. The guests should have read the house roules more carefully before accusing me of not being professional.
4) lt's a basic and common practice that when you leave a rental property, even when a cleaning fee is involved, for guests to not leave dirty dishes (the house has a dishwasher) and to have their trash taken out. The guests didn't leave both. The cleaning fee serves to have the property clean for the arrival of the guests, which is what they wrote to have found.

Sehr schöne Unterkunft in wunderbarer Umgebung.
