Bridge Cottage is a well-equipped and modernised stone built house in the village of Lusigny sur Ouche which overlooks the river. About 15 minutes from Beaune in the heart of the Burgundy countryside, a good base for exploring the regions vineyards.
The historic and modern capital of Burgundy may be Dijon, but the beautiful town of Beaune sits right in the heart of the famous Côte d'Or vineyards and is recognised as Burgundy's wine capital. It has a wide range of facilities including several supermarkets and an extensive Saturday market. There are plenty of opportunities to buy wine, cheese and other local produce.
Bridge cottage is located in the centre of the village with a lovely view of the river Ouche. On the ground floor the house has a living room and a kitchen. In the living room is a traditional flagstone floor and there is a wood burning stove (wood supplied).
Upstairs is a spacious bedroom and a bathroom with shower and toilet, accessed by a covered patio. There is a single bed on the landing. To the rear is a small, secluded courtyard which is ideal for eating out and catches the afternoon and evening sun.
There is easy parking outside the house.
The village of Bligny sur Ouche is 2 km away and has a baker, a supermarket, a chemist, a post office and bar/restaurant. There is a local market every Wednesday morning.
