Property exceeded our expectations! Loved everything about it. Kids loved having the pool in addition to a close proximity to beach. Golf cart was so helpful as well as the elevator for groceries! The neighborhood was so peaceful. Overall we had such a relaxing vacation. Thank you!!!

We had such a wonderful time this week! The location was perfect, and we made so many great memories. We explored Bear Island with a ferry ride from Hammocks Beach State Park and also drove out to the Point, which we absolutely loved. We spent a couple of days there just soaking it all in.We found plenty of shark teeth and huge shells, and the kids loved playing in the tide pools while exploring.The highlight for a few of us was getting to see the sea turtles hatch. We stayed out until 11 p.m. three nights in a row, hoping we would catch it. Since it was nighttime when they finally emerged, we had to look closely, but it was truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience that we’ll never forget.Thank you so much for helping us create even more wonderful memories! We’ll definitely be back soon!

Great family vacation

We had a great time at this wonderful vacation home. The house was just as described - close to the beach, well equipped and extremely clean. This was our first trip to Emerald Isle and we lucked out with this gem!

Perfect home for an Emerald Isle vacation

This is the perfect home for a beach vacation. Everything was great and as advertised. Bonus perk is that you can walk to get pizza, ice cream or visit Gaffer’s for live music. 10/10 place to stay.

This house is beautiful and the location is great! We loved the size and the layout! It was perfect for 6 adults and a toddler. Plenty of bedroom space for all of us. Room to gather together and to spread out for quiet time if needed. The kitchen was well appointed with what we needed for cooking meals, and the grill was a plus! The golf cart is an absolute luxury for getting to the beach access path, and we loved having a pool right in our backyard!!The house was clean, but not immaculate. We noticed dust under furniture and on ceiling fans, etc. It seemed in need of a deep clean. The pool, also, needed to be vacuumed. Sand had accumulated on the steps and in some of the corners. We addressed this with the host (after our stay), and they promised to follow up with the house and pool cleaning staff.Also, this VRBO has joined the trend of asking more of guests upon checkout. This was the first time we have ever been asked to strip our beds and make sure all dishes were clean and put away before leaving. This is not necessarily a deal breaker, but be aware that it is in the rental contract if you plan to rent this property. Overall we were very pleased with our stay!

Family Time

The house was perfect for our group. We spent most of our time outside enjoying the water. It does need a new grill, but we improvised and just cooked inside. Our family that lives in NC really enjoyed picking us up in the dock.

Beautiful home, great location, great pool!

We loved the location of this home right off of Coast Guard Drive, and loved hanging out in the pool. The beach was a 10 minute walk or you could take the golf cart. The beds were extremely comfortable and the kitchen was well appointed.

Second trip to the property and it was great! Large rooms and space for our entire family. Beach was a few steps down the road and the golf cart made life easy. Highly recommended!!!

The house was very clean. We loved the little extras…….elevator, pool, deck/covered porch, fully furnished kitchen and golf cart! Our stay was wonderful. Any minor issue or question was quickly handled by Sandy, Drew & the owner.

50 years young birthday girls trip

This property is absolutely gorgeous! 4 Bdrm spacious house with 4 bathrooms! A beautiful house with a great porch to enjoy relaxing on a rocking chair. On days we didn’t want to go out, we enjoyed the pool and the grill. Truly a home away from home.

Our Stay at Happy Ours

This is our second visit to Happy Ours. Great location. Convenient to beach, restaurants and shopping. Lots of space for everyone. We used the pool everyday. Rented bikes for the grandkids as the neighborhood is perfect for bike riding. Hope to visit again.

Great July 4th vacation

Location was walkable to the beach but the golf cart made it easy to transport chairs, cooler, and children to beach. Pool was great and kitchen was well stocked. Beds were very comfortable. Only problem we had was the door closest to the elevator would stick and be hard to open or close.

Clean home, great family spot!

very happy with the cleanliness of the home! golf cart was a great amenity for getting back and forth to the beach. elevator was great for getting large luggage and coolers into the home. the pool was just another added bonus. property manager was quick in response to the grill propane tank being low. 10/10 recommend!
