AMAZING VIEW over the bay, by the Old Town, walk to the city, quiet area

Located in Funchal Quinta Esperança, a very big traditional house has been one of the first Hotels back in 1920s. It offers you a total quiet, calm and peaceful holiday. Please note it is part of the city and cities are alive, meaning you can also have any kind of noises like traffic, works going on, etc, but totally out of our hand.Normally we don't.
With beautiful gardens, lots of fruit trees (bananas, avocates, mangos, figs) and local plants, you can enjoy the typical Madeira environment in a traditional Quinta.
ORCHID is an open plan placed up on the top floor of the building acessed only by some spiral stairs (make sure you are well fitted to access the 2nd floor). It is beautifully decorated, very private and enjoys a magnificent view over the harbor and the whole city of Funchal. It is accessed by some spiral exterior stairs, so you must be sure you are well fitted to get up there through some stairs.
Inside, you will find a large apartment (open space) with bedroom area, loundge, en-suite bathroom with modern glass windows, a fully equipped kitchinet and a fantastic private balcony for your meals while enjoying the view.
Orchid is the only apartment located upstairs by the terrace but separated with some closed doors, so totally private.

We offer only 5 apartments at the Quinta with a lot of privacy for each of them.
They are all very nice, comfortable and well equipped as Orchid is. They all enjoy view over the sea and gardens and a lot of privacy.
The pool is open all year round and during all day.
Parking is free on the road, right in front of the property. Bus stop is just there by our gate for your comfort. Walking down the road is very easy but steep roads, coming back better to take a bus or taxi which is only € 5 to 7€.
The best bakery in Funchal is around the corner and also a very nice supermarket with fresh fruits and vegetables produced by locals.
