This was a perfect place for a getaway! We could access several trails without ever moving our car, and Amanda was wonderful as a host. If we can ever make it back to Maine, we'd love to come back!

We could not asked for a better location within the Mt Desert Acadia area. We got to many locations in our brief two day stay. Amanda is a fountain of info. I wanted fresh lobster and her recommendations were spot on! Summerwood Cottage in Otter Creek was everything and more than advertised. I have stayed at a number of VRBO locations and I would rate this one in the top 5%.

This was our third stay at Summerwood Cottage! The cottage is comfortable and cozy. Otter Creek is a great location and Amanda is easy to connect with. We love the covered porch - it’s a great place to relax in the evening!

The cottage was the perfect size for my sister and me. The location was great too - close to several of my favorite trails. The kitchen was stocked with all of the basics for cooking a meal in. Plus, Amanda responded quickly and provided a thoughtful welcome email, making checking in and out easy.

Stayed at Summerwood for 10 nights in late summer. The cottage is comfortable with a well equipped kitchen. Communication with hostess was excellent. We enjoyed using the fire pit every night and the barbecue for most of our dinners. Porch is a big plus especially if it’s raining when you want to sit outside. Cottage is very clean. It is also close to many hikes within the park. Highly recommend!

This property is definitely one our top 3! The pictures accurately describe the house and property. We loved all of the personal touches which made us feel right at home. The communication with Amanda was exceptional. Amanda provided information about the area, suggestions for restaurants and activities and we felt like we had a personal vacation planner. The area was safe and quiet and we even had a big mama bear and two of her babies visit. The house was extremely close to Acadia National Park which made the sunrise at Cadillac Mt. much easier to get to at 4 am. We hope to return to the area and we will definitely use Amanda’s cottage as our go to!
