HICKORY NUT LODGE! Newly renovated, still providing spectacular mountain views straight up the Hickory Nut Gorge are yours from the windows and decks of HICKORY NUT LODGE. You will not believe your eyes as you enjoy phenomenal 180 degree mountain views all year long. The spring and fall colors are fantastic as life returns to the mountains in the spring and the rich colors of fall take hold towards the end of the year. Any time is a good time to visit Hickory Nut Lodge. The home itself is richly appointed with a fully equipped kitchen with a gas stove and a large live edge walnut dining table on the main level. The main level features two ensuite bedrooms each with a queen size bed and private bathroom. The main level is anchored by a floor to ceiling stone wall featuring a large flat screen television and a linear fireplace. The main level can be accessed from an enclosed two-car garage. The second level of the home has a huge master bedroom with a large walk in shower and jacuzzi tub along with a very spacious walk-in closet. Outside the master bedroom is a family room with a gas log fireplace, leather double recliner and another flat screen television so you and your guests are able to enjoy two separate and very comfortable viewing areas. Are you bringing a few extra kids? The second level also has its own kid's room with a bunk bed featuring one full and one twin sized bunk. They'll love having their own private area. Finally, the third level has a very large game room area complete with an air hockey table, a very solid and sturdy foosball table, and a very nice professional poker table. While playing the games you'll be treated to another gas log fireplace to maintain both your warmth and the mountain mood. Of course you and your guests will want to spend some time outside on the decks. The expansive main level covered deck features a gas fire table surrounded by Adirondack chairs, a dining table and chairs, gas grille for cooking as well as other comfortable seating. So pop the cork on your favorite bottle of wine and enjoy the good life here in the mountains of Lake Lure. Grill up your favorite foods and enjoy unbelievable mountain views just down the street from all that Lake Lure has to offer. Book early because anyone who stays in this beautiful home will book quickly for next year!

Our Stay at Hickory Nut Lodge

We really enjoyed our stay, and the view was fantastic. The layout of the house was very nice . The bottom level wasn't quite up to par. We had to sweep and wipe down some things. But over all it was a great stay and would like to come back and stay again.

We had a lovely 3 day weekend at Hickory Nut Lodge in Lake Lure. It was sad to see the devastation from Hurricane Helene but we still found plenty to do. The house was very comfortable for the six of us, the children loved the game room. We also played games we found in the house and games we had brought. The view was incredible as we watched sunrises and sunsets. We spent most of our time at the house on the massive deck and hated to leave. Thank you for sharing the house with guests and we hope to be back someday.

Weekend getaway

We had a great stay at the Hickory Nut Lodge. The views of the valley and Chimney Rock are beautiful. The house is very comfortable and well equipped. Dining and shopping were close by and the game room was a plus.

Weekend Getaway

We enjoyed our weekend getaway. Hickory Nut Lodge is the ideal mountain home! It's cozy but at the same time lets you enjoy the beautiful views through the den windows and on the deck. House was well equipped and beds were very comfortable! We had a great time.

Beautiful Mountain Home

Beautiful View / Home

This place is absolutely perfect. The view, kitchen accessories, game room and everything about it. Super clean and beautifully well kept. The daily hummingbird show was a plus along with the cardinals and yellow finches. Spent our 41 anniversary and it couldn't have been any better.

Would definitely stay again. Wow what a view! Downside— too many detailed chores required upon departure when everyone is scrambling to get out at 10am or be charged.

50th birthday for son

This place was ideal. Each couple, person had his own bedroom with bath. That was primary. The location was great, close to everything. the only thing I would have liked would be able to do some walking outside. We had a great time.
