Tastefully furnished Tahoe cabin/home filled with light, warmth, and charm. On a short non-through street so few cars, five minutes to downtown Truckee, with easy access and a manageable driveway in winter. New Carpet throughout. Newly Remodeled kitchen. Three bedrooms (quality linens & down comforters on all beds), two newly remodeled baths, 'Great Room' layout of family areas, vaulted pine ceilings throughout house, wood-burning stove, two decks, kid-friendly level backyard, well-equipped kitchen, and two-car attached garage. While not technically wheelchair accessible, we are all one level and only three steps up from driveway by front door or garage entrance.

Use (for guest-paid per person guest fee) of Tahoe Donner recreation center hot tubs saunas and work-out facilities in Winter, as well as pools, private beach club, tennis and golf (additional fee) in Summer. Everything you need for a getaway is at the house and available to you. You'll feel like home.

Great for one or two families, sleeps 8 with two sets of bunks (double bed on bottom, twin on top) in one room for the kids, a comfy queen in second bdrm, and a queen in the master bedroom. Great room with high ceilings comprised of kitchen, dinning, living rooms with bedrooms separated by a hallway. Complete, modern kitchen, washer and dryer, air lock. CableTV. Free Wi-Fi Internet. Gas BBQ. Come. Enjoy. Absolutely no smoking in the house or on the property, some pets considered case by case, ask owner.

David was an exceptional host — kind, responsive, and genuinely invested in making sure our stay was perfect. From the moment we arrived, everything felt seamless and welcoming.The cabin itself was the ideal winter retreat and the perfect launch pad for snowy adventures. We had endless fun playing in the backyard snow, and the surrounding area offered even more opportunities to explore and enjoy the winter magic. It was cozy, comfortable, and thoughtfully maintained — exactly what you hope for in a mountain getaway.I would absolutely recommend this cabin to anyone looking for a memorable snow escape, and we’re already hoping to return again soon.

Wonderful kick off to summer holidays in Tahoe Donner

This was our debut trip to Tahoe Donner during the summer. It was a wonderful week, especially because of the clean, comfortable and homey accommodation at the Cabin on St. Bernard. We stayed with our three children and their grandparents--7 bodies in all. We visited the Marina Beach Club, pool at Trout Creek, playground at the Northwoods Clubhouse, plus also did other day trips to the West End Beach, Truckee River, Tahoe and even Squaw High Camp. The house felt more like a home than a mountain rental--the kitchen was well-stocked, the bathrooms were freshly remodeled, and the whole house was very well-kept. Thank you, Vicki, for giving us a wonderful start to our summer.

The house was terrific, just as advertised!

My family had a great stay over MLK weekend ‘19! The house is great, we’ll appointed and convenient to a number of the local area attractions. And the neighborhood really knew how to take care of the snow so we could get in and out easily. We’ll definitely look to stay there again!

Wonderful week - felt like home away from home

We just came back from a wonderful stay at this beautiful house in Tahoe Donner. It was very clean and had a terrific layout. The kitchen was well-appointed (with the exception of measuring cups, which we just couldn't find for the life of us!) and we enjoyed some wonderful dinners. Our only real gripe with the house is that the wifi router kept going out and needed to be reset multiple times a day. That said, we might be the lame ones for insisting on working throughout our vacation! We were thrilled to see that the TV was a Smart TV with Netflix and our son also loved the Nintendo Game Cube in the bunk room. We got a ton of snow during our visit and were very happy with the snow removal service -they even shoveled out the front walkway and steps. We'd definitely love to return on a future trip.

We enjoyed our stay here very much. The bedroom with the bunks is great. Bottom bunks are huge, which our boys loved. Plenty of games to play if you are snowed in and a well stocked kitchen. David was very responsive when we had questions, which we really appreciated.

Great Tahoe getaway

My family and I had a great vacation. The cabin was very clean and cozy. We love to cook and were thrilled kitchen was well stocked with utensils and equipment. The kids loved the movies and games that were provided. We love the Donner area and all the nearby activities. We hope to come back again soon.

Wonderful Ski Week in Tahoe Donner

We have stayed in Tahoe Donner for many years and this cabin is definitely one of our favorites. The owners were very responsive and provided all the information needed so we felt right at home from the minute we walked in. The location is on a quiet street with nice trees all around. The house is one story which is great during the winter as 2 story homes tend to be too warm on the upper floor and too cool on the lower one. The house was very nicely appointed and you can tell the owners really want their guests to be comfortable and enjoy their stay. We'll be back for sure!!

Our Family Stay in this Lovely Mountain Cabin

This summer was our second visit to the Stolberg cabin in Tahoe Donner. The location, close to Truckee, and, with Tahoe Donner amenities, make it a perfect summer getaway. The owners went out of their way to accommodate our vacation plans and we are certainly grateful for that. The cabin itself, with the recently remodeled kitchen and bathrooms, is spacious AND comfortable. We had 3 "20 somethings" staying in the guest room in the bunkbeds and they loved it! (The other bedrooms are wonderful, especially the master bedroom!) The kitchen is well stocked with everything you could ask for: dishes, pots, pans plus lots of extras. We loved afternoons on the back deck and barbequed to our heart's content! There were 6 of us and we had plenty of room to move about and relax. We have been coming to the Tahoe area for over 30 years and have rented many properties. We will return to this mountain retreat again and again!

Always a Special Treat!

Our family had the chance to spend another Tahoe vacation at our favorite home away from home this summer. It is always a special treat staying at this cabin because you walk in and immediately feel comfortable! The cabin is the perfect size, it is clean and updated, and has an excellent location. We love the access to the trails and the big deck in the back for star gazing. It's our family's first choice for a get away, can't wait till next time!!

Perfect Home Away from Home

We visited the Stolberg's perfect Tahoe cabin multiple times over the course of the 2014/2015 winter with our three children aged 5, 7, and 9. The cabin is comfortable, cozy, and clean! Our family truly feels at home in this Tahoe cabin. The kitchen (with brand new appliances) has everything that you could ever need and the bathrooms are recently updated. All of the beds are SUPER comfortable! My kids loved playing in the big yard (with AND without snow). We love the proximity to Alpine and Squaw and downtown Truckee. We have not been here in the summer, but hope to make it up there sometime soon. This is a fabulous property. We've rented many Tahoe houses over the the years and this is definitely at the top of our list!

Perfect Vacation Home

We loved staying here with our two children, we preferred to visit the Donner Lake over Lake Tahoe, simply because it was convenient and the water temperature was perfect for swimming, kayaking, paddle boarding. My children loved it. The kitchen was very well stocked, couldn't have asked for more. Thank you Vicki for all of your help!

Comfort and Quiet

This cabin is the perfect balance of comfort and quiet; everything to make you feel right at home, but at the same time far from everyday hustle and bustle. It has a great cul-de-sac location so easy to get to and also accessible to trails.The home itself is well stocked, clean, and has all the necessary creature comforts. This was our second visit to this spot and we enjoyed our week tremendously...can't wait until next time.

Very nice house, will go back

We ski at North Tahoe a couple times a year and always stay at Tahoe Donna given its convenient location to a few ski resorts, Northstar, Squaw Valley, Alpine, Suger Bown and a few more. This is one of the best house we ever stayed. The house looks fairly new to me. It's very clean and very well maintained. It has everything we needed. We can park two big vans in the garage (this is very important when it comes snow storm). The price is very reasonable. We will definitely consider it again. Thanks.

LOTS OF CABINS-ONE WEDDING

We stayed at St Bernard for a wedding at the clubhouse. Our family has a home in Tahoe Donner but it was full-so we rented. Lots of other attendees rented lots of other TD cabins so we got chance to check them all out. Our's was one of the nicest-especially in the price range. It was charming and well equipted. We really enjoyed the layout and the location. We loved the cabinee decor and the large lot. Our family of six was very comfortable. Owners were very easy to deal with. GO AHEAD. RENT THIS PLACE.

We are a local family with just one rental property—a mom and pop operation. Friendly but not very high tech! We keep it simple and hope you will too.

Why they chose this property

Tahoe Donner has it all Location (20 min to all ski resorts, 5 min to the lake, 5 min to town ) & Amenities ( Trout Creek, Donner Lake beach club, golf, ) but you still feel tucked into the woods. It's everything you go on vacation for. We love it, you will too.

What makes this property unique

Our street is a cul-de-sac so it is quiet with no traffic. Easy winter driving. Quick access to Alder Creek Drive to avoid Northwoods blvd. One level floor plan great for young kids or older folks. Flat level back yard for play. Open space behind & on one side. Great friendly street with a mix of permanent residents with children and vacation second home owners. Tahoe Donner Walking and biking trails that lead to Alder Creek are right down the street as well as great free sled hill.
