We greatly enjoyed our stay. The house is warm and inviting and the property is beautiful. We enjoyed playing frisbee on the grass, great location to town and beaches, and loved the fire pit outside. Thanks for having us.
We go to the coast every Labor Day and this was our best time to date! The house was perfect and there was plenty of room for us and our dog. We will definitely be back.
There were 4 of us in our party--3 family, 1 friend, plus our 3-year-old pup, and this house was the perfect place for us to stay while enjoying Fort Bragg. It was nice because there was room to spread out after exploring the beaches, and our dog enjoyed running around the yard. The temperature is great out there and the house had everything we needed. It was conveniently located (just a few minutes from the main town and the skunk train), and it was easy to book and "check-in/out" from. It also felt very safe, given its location. We had a great time there.
Exactly what we were hoping for. A lovely home, set away from the hustle and bustle. Immaculate condition with a well stocked kitchen. Everything in the house just felt right, like coming home. Redwoods in the yard, a nice firepit, horseshoes. Couldn't ask for a better stay.
Over the years we’ve stayed in many places near Fort Bragg and Mendocino. This visit was our first one to Pudding Creek Woods, and it won’t be our last! The home is very welcoming and it is located in a beautiful area. The property is sunny with many redwoods and rhododendrons. We were lucky to see the rhododendrons in bloom! The home has everything one needs for a relaxing vacation.
Our family made our annual trek to Ft. Bragg and for the first time stayed in a home away from the beach. This home was a pleasant surprise! It's tucked away at the end of a private driveway in the country surrounded by big trees and pastures. The home was like stepping back in time and visiting Grandma's house. It was very comfortable and quiet and yet only a 5 minute drive to Pudding Creek Beach. The home has big windows and several skylights so it's very bright inside. We enjoyed our stay very much and look forward to staying here again.
The Pudding Creek Woods house is about a couple miles north of Ft. Bragg. Access is easy. House is quite large with lots of room in the common spaces. Kitchen is dated, but very functional. We made a nice rib roast dinner for Christmas and baked brownies for Santa.
The fireplace is awesome, and the hosts provide plenty of firewood. Makes for very cozy winter evenings.
The satellite TV connectivity seemed to be having issues when we got there, but we were looking forward to a TV-free weekend, so didn't particularly care about that.
Dog loved the ample space in and around the house. She's too old to use the dog run, but if you have a boisterous youngster, it's neat that the house has that amenity.
There are well-maintained bikes in the shed. We did not use them. Too cold in December. All in all, house is not swanky, but is comfortable and cozy, like a lived-in home. We enjoyed our time there.
Shout-out to Overtime Brewing in Ft. Bragg. They have some creative (and really good) brews. And they are dog, and people, friendly.
My family visits multiple times a year and this home was by far our favorite. This was the first time we could bring our dogs and the home was set up perfect for them. They even had dog toys for our dogs to use. We were even able to keep the dogs in the large fenced off dog pen when we didn't take the dogs to the beach with us. Our kids loved the spacious property. They were able to play basketball, ride their bikes, explore the property and just run around and be kids without having to worry about traffic. We even had deer in the yard one evening. The fire pit was amazing and they supplied all the wood you would need. The area was quiet and we felt safe at the home. We are definitely going to stay there again.
The property was great. My family enjoyed the outdoor games and we had a great time around the fire. It was very relaxing and quiet. The house is spacious and gave us plenty of room for the five of us.
We enjoyed our stay so much with our little family (husband, wife, baby, 2 dogs). The house was clean, well equipped, and private. The huge yard was perfect for us and our dogs to enjoy. Close to town, the beach, the redwoods, Ect. Communicating with the owner was so easy and we had everything we needed for our stay. We definitely felt welcomed and so did our dogs! Would love to come back for a second stay in the future.
Great, comfortable home. Perfect for small family with kids & pet(s). Close enough to beach & town yet far enough away to feel like wild setting. No neighboring houses peeking in; lots of land for kids and pets to run. Basketball hoop (and balls), cornhole, badminton. Well stocked kitchen. Great sun room & exterior string lights. Tons of banana slugs to find (outside)! Did not need or use the wood stoves, fire ring or grill but there’s plenty of firewood available. Would certainly be on my list for a return trip.
The property was set up with everything you could possibly need in a home away from home. All of my family wants to go back for a longer stay. Roasted marshmallows in the back yard, while playing horseshoes. The front room was cozy, with the warm fire. The kitchen was so big and had everything a person could possibly need to cook or just have a glass of wine and relax. I enjoyed reading the cookbook that had many recipes from local restaurants. My dog celebrated her 2nd birthday in style and the property owner supplied plenty of doggy toys to keep her busy. We will come back! Loved it!
House and property were amazing! So, relaxing seeing the deer and wild Turkey's roam the property. Neighborhood was extremely quiet.
We had everything we needed from dishes, BBQ, Deck, Sunroom, firepit and a horseshoe pit. Town of Fort Bragg right around the corner, 3 beaches close by to choose from. We just had an overall best getaway in years!
We had a great time at this property. The photos online do not do this place justice! One of the most well-appointed VRBO's we've stayed at. This place had everything we needed to have a relaxing getaway!!!
We enjoyed staying at this lovely house. It was very comfortable and spacious, clean and well equipped. The garden was vast and very peaceful. The host supplied fire wood and fire starters which made the cold evenings very cozy in the house. I highly recommend this house if you are in Fort Bragg. Five minutes to the beach too.
We had a great weekend here. A very clean and spacious home for our family of four. The quiet country location, while still being close to town, was perfect. Our kids and pup enjoyed exploring the property, playing hide n seek and shooting hoops. Lovely property. Would come here again.
