718, Rendezvous, is a massive ocean-side rental home in the town of Duck that offers living arrangements to accommodate a wide variety of family sizes! "Rendezvous" is a dog-friendly home that is just steps from the Ocean, minutes from Downtown Duck, and loaded with amenities like a pool, hot tub, hi-speed Wi-Fi, and even arcade machines, to keep you and your family occupied throughout your vacation!

This Duck Rental Home offers seven bedrooms, each room featuring its own private bathroom, a large great room for family gatherings, wide-open deck space housing a large hot tub and private pool with an abundance of deck furniture for lounging. And, best of all, this home is only several homes from the ocean with easy beach access.

"Rendezvous" offers no short supply of amenities, so when taking a break from the ocean, pool, or hot tub, the family can play arcade games in the garage, basketball outside, choose from the wealth of board games and puzzles, or enjoy playing on the community tennis courts or meet fellow vacationers at the community pool.

Being located in the heart of Duck, this home is very close to all the downtown shopping, restaurants, and the Duck boardwalk that has made this area so popular.

Perfect for Large Groups

We had 12 people staying at the house and 16 people for dinner each night. Lots of room for all, and 16 of us were comfortably seated at the 2 tables in the dining area.

Beautiful property in Duck

This home was a great place to stay. There was plenty of room for everyone with 7 bedrooms and 7 1/2 bathrooms. The house is located in a great location.l with close access to the beach and the shops in Duck . The pool and hot tub were a big hit! Thanks for allowing us to stay ! I would definitely recommend this home as a perfect get away properly.

Good location and layout, needs better maintenance

We enjoyed our stay, but feel things should have been in better condition for the price we paid. Three of the mattresses were extremely saggy and uncomfortable. Many things were just in need of paint or repairs. Hopefully the owners will get these things taken care of, because this home has a great layout and location!

Family bonding

My overall experience was great! We did encounter a woman that wrote down all of the license plates of my guest as well as follow us to and from the beach. The property was well maintained but a little deceptive because it doesn’t tell you the 7th bedroom is in the basement. It was really cold down there. One toilet was broken and the microwave handle was broken but other than that, everything else was wonderful. Is definitely rent it again. Thank you for the great experience!

Thank you for your feedback on this rental home! We were shocked to read your post about someone writing down license plates and we looked further into this. After speaking with a Bias Shores Association member (community of where this home is located), we were informed that the neighborhood watch was confirming validity of a reservation due to a massive gathering in the off-season. We have now asked them to always check with Cove Realty if the neighborhood watch ever has any questions. We sincerely apologize for this inconvenience. As for the microwave, we are happy to report that the owner immediately replaced this with a brand new one upon hearing about your issue. Lastly, please let us know which toilet in the home has issues, so that we may quickly remedy this issue. Thank you again for your feedback and we're looking forward to seeing you again!

Good but could be better with attention.

Nice house in a very good location. However, it does need some TLC. Towel bars were down, bifold doors didn’t close , some electrical outlets didn’t work and the deck had lots of nail pops around the pool that were dangerous. The electric garage door opener also needs TLC. With encouragement it went almost all the way down. Unattended, it didn’t close. IMO a great floor plan for a three generation family reunion.

Thank you so much for your feedback on this rental home. We have confirmed that after your stay and feedback, the owner went down to this home and addressed items of concern. The garage was found to have a hang-up on the right side, but is now fixed and shuts easily and flush with the concrete! He also took up any popped nails and replaced these with screws, while also tightening/adjusting closet doors and towel racks. He was able to locate and remedy two outlets that were non-functional, but will be going through the entire home during the off-season to inspect all outlets and switches. We're so happy that, aside from these issues, you were able to enjoy your stay and we hope to see you again!

The house was dirty

The house was very dirty had to spend the first day bleaching & cleaning everything .. lots of large bugs, beds were very cheap & uncomfortable.. electrical problems with the outlets , even ruined 2 of my new chargers . Everything was out dated in the house it was not a homey feeling in the house .. felt like a cheap hotel .. for the amount of money they charge ..it should have a way better feel & .. cleaner atmosphere.. there was dog hair everywhere, we don't have a dog .We were very disappointed .. No one wants to be in a dirty home

Dirty house

house smelt horrendous found cigarettes behind downstairs bed couch smelled really bad found old gummy bears inside packs of candy and empty wrappers under the couch pool is super dirty pans in kitchen were super dirty closets are very unorganized chips under beds brown stains on unopened sheets pink stains on unopened towels very unorganized closets roaches in cabinets and a couple rooms remotes had no batteries some remotes are missing found a mouse called the place after we found roaches and they said they were gonna send cleaners on sunday and monday and never showed up

Avoid this home at all costs

We were assured before our stay that the most recent review was some sort of revenge post and was inaccurate. So if they try to tell you the same thing, do not believe them. This house is completely rundown, needs a DEEP clean, and should not be being rented out until a number of things have been fixed. We tried working with the property manager on our first day and she wanted maintenance to come out but 1) our dog was at the house, 2) we were at the beach and didn’t want to deal with having to be there when maintenance was there, and 3) it would require maintenance and a cleaning crew to be there for a week straight to get this house up to standard. We have never in our two decades of renting homes left a bad review, but here we are. There is enough room for all the issues, so the following are the highlights: - broken window in bedroom and broken screens - flies and bugs everywhere - sheets and towels from previous renters left behind - moldy kitchen appliances - terrible wifi - multiple broken outlets - dirty walls and kitchen cabinets - mold on ceilings and coming out of air vents - air filters look like they haven’t been changed in years - nightstands and cabinets in kitchen covered in sand - toilet bowl cleaners next to toilets look like they are covered in feces - missing shower liners in multiple bathrooms - missing lightbulbs in multiple lamps - paint chipping all over the deck - nails sticking up on deck - pool lounge chairs dirty and cracked

As guests have been told after the incident, one of the large, custom windows' outer pane was damaged due to lawn maintenance kicking up a stone. While there is still a single pane there, the unfortunate post-COVID market has backed up window orders amongst many other things. The window was ordered immediately when damaged, and will be installed on the same day once received. As for any cleaning issues, if you ever experience a problem, please let us know immediately, as we will always send a cleaner and/or maintenance out to remedy issues if you allow us. Your feedback has also been sent to the cleaning manager and property manager to analyze, inspect/remedy, and ensure a great stay for future guests. We hope that, aside from these issues, you were able to enjoy all the area has to offer!

Perfect for large group

We take our managers on a company retreat each year and found this place big enough to house everyone with there own bed. The house was ideal for us being it is large and great location close to the beach and town. The only complaint we had was, most of the mattresses were either worn out or the mattresses are to thin for a grown adult to sleep in comfortably. The house could use a deep clean for example, we found old chips under the reclining sofa when pulled out and lots of dust on all ceiling fans. All in all.it was a good trip but owner needs to recognize the issues and correct before we would stay again.

This house is covered in MOLD!

We rent a house in the Outer Banks every year and we have never had issues with a house like we did this year. The house was covered in mold! All the vents had mold coming out of them, there was mold on pillows in closets and the whole house just smelled like mold. It’s really a shame because the location and the layout of the house could be amazing but the general upkeep of the house was despicable. There were also electrical issues with some of the outlets and several broken items found throughout the house. The cosmetics of the home were not great either. There were too many scuff marks and drywall compound marks to count and uplifting tiles in the kitchen at the most highly trafficked areas. We tried to make the most of our trip but it was very hard when every morning the lower levels smelled overwhelmingly like mold. We will not be renting this home again in the future.

Not what Was Expected

We expected what we paid for. A nice clean house close to the ocean. Instead we dealt with flies, cockroaches, and garbage. I just don't want bothered with problems on vacation, and this vacation I was having to deal with too many problems for a price tag this high. Very disappointing. We won't be back.

As for the outside trash bin accumulation, this was the unfortunate result of a busier trash route than usual for the town, causing trash pick-up to span over multiple days. Just Awesome!

We enjoyed our stay very much! Very easy to communicate with the management property. House is great for families, everybody has their own space. Very close to the ocean, you can hear the waves. Plenty of room inside and out. Pots and pans are not the best, but we managed. Everything was in working order and no problems arose during our stay. Hot tub was kid's favorite cause our week was a little chilly, but we were pleasantly surprised the pool was ready! My grand daughter was the brave who fully enjoyed the pool. Over all, I would highly recommend and would stay here again. Very close to everything!

Enjoyed the stay

The property is large, convenient to shopping, food and sites and only a short walk to the beach. There is a pool on site but it was not yet ready when we stayed. Pots were old and mostly not usable so bring your own. There were some ants but I advised management so hopefully they will spray. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and management was very responsive to the small issues we had.

We just read similar input about the pots and pans yesterday and have already forwarded this to maintenance to have all necessary items replaced, so expect new kitchenware starting 5/17/21! Lack of Communication

When we first arrived and did a walk thru found several things needed repair. There was a clock on the floor. We needed info on internet. On walk thru found down stairs refrigerator was not working and when we opened it had an awful smell. Since this fridge was not working the 1st nite we had some food go bad that we brought cause we couldn’t use it. The ping pong table as shown in the picture was not there. The outside deck had nails that needed to nailed down near the hot tub. The area by the outside shower had a lot of mildew in and around it. The trash bin was broken in the kitchen. Lastly random people showed up in the yard without us being notified to the point it scared my wife one time because it was early in the morning and the guy was out by the pool and pool was covered and not in use. There needs to be better communication with the management and renters on that issue in particular could lead to a bad situation. We did lodge a complaint with property management and we were talked to in an inappropriate manor. We also lodged a complaint with VRBO and NC real estate association. All these things took away from our stay which could have been better.

Nice layout, great location, but needs some TLC

Loved the layout of this house with each bedroom having its own private bath. Plenty of room for everyone in our family. Hot tub was great. Very close to the town of Duck. The house does need some updates in the kitchen (pots and pans were rusted and worn out and had some missing caulking on the countertop around the sink) and a better job of cleaning, particularly hardwood and tile floors which were a bit dirty. The door to one of the master suites didn't close all the way. We also had several bulbs in the recessed light fixtures burned out in the main room, kitchen, and some of the bedrooms. Maybe this was due to renting out of season. Most of these are minor things a handyman and a good cleaning crew can remedy. Overall it was a very comfortable, quiet stay. Thank you!

Family trip

Great house for a large family! Nice house and great location. Short walk to the beach. Each bedroom has its own bathroom which allowed for privacy.
