We hosted a retreat with 18 people at this beautiful property, and one of our guests described it online as “a whole vibe.” The setting is extraordinary, with views that instantly calm your soul. The yoga shala is an incredible space for gathering and classes. The cabins were cozy and welcoming, the kitchen was well equipped, and the common areas very inviting. We feel so lucky to have had this as our home base in Iceland. Thor and Svava took great care of us—they were incredibly responsive and Thor drove an hour in a storm to make a needed repair, which was so appreciated. They also went above and beyond to make our check-in process smooth. Can’t recommend this amazing property enough.

Magical place

Eird is a magical place surrounded by beautiful Icelandic nature where you will experience tranquility and comfort like no other. I cannot recommend this place more and we cannot wait to return for another yoga retreat next year.

Wonderful stay! Property is simply gorgeous.

Wonderful stay at Eird for a group yoga retreat. The property was absolutely perfect. The location was beautiful and serene, and the house is as beautiful in person. Thor and Svava were good at answering any questions and were very accommodating! Highly recommend staying at Eird!

What a retreat!

I hosted a women's retreat at Eird and it was wonderful. The property and yoga shala are stunning, the view in every direction are wonderful and it's very peaceful. Svava was easy to get ahold of and very helpful. We would absolutely stay again!

New Favorite Place

This place was an absolute dream. It was so tranquil and beautiful. Each house is like an individual hotel room and they all have great views and are gorgeous inside. Not the mention the hosts are great and so nice. Everyone loved staying here it was amazing 10/10 recommend!!!!

Our Iceland Home- Wonderful Stay!

Words cannot even describe how much we loved hosting our retreat here. The accommodations, the landscape, and the overall welcomed feeling we experienced were truly exceptional. So much so we are planning to come back again and again. Svava and Thor have created a wonderful space that feels like our home away from home. A magical place to stay in Iceland.

Eird Retreat was an absolutely magical place to spend the trip of a lifetime. It's even more beautiful than the pictures. Plenty of space for 19 of us. The best equipped kitchen I've ever experienced in a rental. Absolutely charming and very responsive hosts. So sad that I'm not still there!

Relaxing retreat to unwind and enjoy quality time

This home was exactly as advertised. It’s in a beautiful location, very nicely furnished and stocked for a large group, and a perfect retreat for a relaxing stay. We stayed with a group of 20, with adults and young kids, and everyone had a lovely time. I would highly recommend this home for anyone looking for a nice place to relax and enjoy Iceland.

It is difficult to put into words just how extraordinary this property is. It is, without question, one of the most beautiful and thoughtfully designed places I have stayed.The buildings themselves are breathtaking—not only architecturally beautiful, but exceptionally well constructed. Every detail feels considered. The interiors somehow manage to be minimal and uncluttered while still feeling incredibly warm, cozy, and welcoming. We came as a group for a movement intensive, and the yoga studio was outstanding. The space, the quality of the props, the sound system—everything exceeded our expectations. The same was true throughout the property: wonderfully comfortable beds, a fully stocked kitchen with excellent appliances, washer and dryer, sauna, beautiful outdoor spaces, and a layout that made being together feel effortless.And then there is the setting. The lake. The views. The vast Icelandic landscape surrounding you in every direction. It is almost impossibly beautiful.What I appreciated most, though, was what this place allowed our group to do: disconnect completely from work, schedules, and the constant pull of responsibility, and simply connect with one another as human beings. The property gave us the space to slow down, move, learn, eat together, laugh together, and be fully present in an extraordinary landscape.Everything was considered. Everything worked. Everything was beautiful. Thank you. I will return as soon as I get the chance!

Beautiful Stay

We had a wonderful stay at the Erid Retreat. The location was stunning, remote and peaceful. The Retreat was more than able to handle our large group. With private and shared spaces we had the choice to come together and also enjoy our privacy. Although we did not have time to enjoy the peace of the yoga room as we would have liked, it looks like a fantastic facility that we look forward to enjoying on our next visit.

Perfect Place

We came to Iceland and stayed at Eiro as a yoga retreat and absolutely every single one of the 12 were thrilled with Eiros. The accommodations were perfect. Great kitchen - fully equipped - beautiful yoga practice space. We will be back - it made our retreat one that would be remembered for years to come. Thor was lovely - approachable - helpful. Can't say enough- about this beautiful place!

I took a group to Eird for a yoga retreat and it was amazing! The property is beautiful, rooms were great and cozy, the yoga shala was perfect. We felt right at home and loved the seclusion of the property but that it was also close to so much on the south coast. We were fortunate to see the northern lights almost every night!! An unforgettable experience. Svava who owns the property was great to work with and she was also our private chef for the week. Her food, energy, and creativeness was second to none. She was accommodating but also made us feel right at home to enjoy the property. I cannot recommend this place enough.

The location was fantastic. We loved being able to walk on the roads and see barely any cars, only sheep and horses. The lake is gorgeous and was the perfect place for our cold plunge, and the hot tub was luxurious. We felt grounded and really appreciated the beauty of the buildings, both inside and out. Simple, calming and carefully curated. Our host was responsive to all of our needs in a timely manner. On the last two nights we were blessed with views of the Northern Lights, especially bright in the country. Thank you for an unforgettable and magical stay in Iceland.

Annual Retreat in Iceland

I recently spent an incredible week at Eirð Retreat with my entrepreneurial clients, all amazing women. Svava, the fantastic lady who takes care of everyone, was exceptional. Her cooking is absolutely delicious, and she's always helpful, ensuring that all guests feel pampered and super happy. I've come to this place multiple times, and each visit is better than the last. Eirð Retreat is truly special, and I highly recommend it for a rejuvenating and delightful stay.

Just a paradis site for training

A unique site, just by a lake, privately in icelandc nature. Designed and created with heart in all details. Such dear offer to be able to come and enjoy the land and the impeccably cosy interiours. Just highest score! Just wonderful. We will be back!

Family vacation

The property was beautiful and perfect for my fiance and I’s families to stay together at while in the country for us to get married! It’s about an hour and a half away from Vik and an easy drive away from a lot of the sights in the Golden Circle. Most of us preferred the peace and quiet of the property however - it was just as pretty as a lot of the Golden Circle sights but without the crowds. The hosts were also so kind and communicative! We would love to come back with a larger group sometime. It was absolutely beautiful here.

Pure magic

Words are not enough to describe the beauty of Eirð, it is set amongst stunning scenery and the property was perfectly equipped for us to host our photography retreat. We had the most incredible stay in our entire lives at this property. We had a group of 20 and it was the best trip everyone’s ever had. It was beautiful- photos don’t do it justice. It’s so relaxing and peaceful, each room has so much space so it doesn’t feel packed with a large group. Svava and Thor were extremely attentive and communicative. Watching the northern lights outside this property with all our closest people will be a night we never forget, thank you.
