Once people settle in they usually don't want to leave. Enjoy the sea birds, seal and whale shows right from the living room. If the surf is up it crashes dramatically between the split rock island in front of the enormous living room windows. If you are lucky enough to time your visit with a storm, the waves crash up and over the split rock island that emerges from the ocean right in front of the living room, but of course you are tucked away inside enjoying the show from the warmth of indoors.

About the host
Hosted by Anne Roberts
Joe & I have always been drawn to the magic and mesmerizing motion of the ocean. Whether hiking, dining or choosing a vacation spot we love being by the ocean. We now are lucky enough to have our own "slice of paradise" on the rugged Northern California Coast. Inspired by our kids and the love of enjoying adventures together we searched the coast for a one-of-a-kind property that would fit the needs of our family and friends. We found it in Timber Cove.
We are the couple who thrive on entertaining and providing a nurturing, relaxing experience for family and friends. When we are surrounded by others having a good time it puts us at ease. We also enjoy maintaining our home and finding ways to increase our enjoyment of it and ultimately yours if you choose to stay in Isle of View.
So how did we come up with the name "Isle of View"? When Joe & I were dating in the early '80's, I was still in college at UW-Madison while he was working in Emeryville, CA (Yes, that is another story)! Before cell phones, even computers...we relied on the U.S. postal service and the phone for staying in touch. Joe sent me an album by Jimmie Spherris with the name Isle of View. When we were talking on the phone after I received it he asked me to say the title quickly. It turns into I Love You! We did and we still do! That original album is in a frame hanging on a wall in the house. It won't take you long to find it.
Why they chose this property
Everyone looks for a truly unique property. One that speaks to them and makes them feel better...physically and mentally. We have had people who know something about geology visit and they have said there is something about the minerals in the surrounding rock that put off a positive energy at our location. You truly feel better in this refreshing environment.
This is a rare oceanfront property west of Highway One. As you pass through Bodega Bay you wind your way along the coast among the cows (yes, along the road - or even on it!) and distance yourself from civilization. Every stress melts away as you get closer to Isle of View. We have always LOVED sunsets and with this unique property we enjoy both the sunrise and a spectacular sunset. One of the top properties on the coast!
What makes this property unique
Simply put it is rejuvenating, relaxing and refreshing to experience time at Isle of View. The floorplan allows plenty of space to get away from it all or if you come as a couple or alone you can close off half the house and feel comfortable in the main areas and the primary bedroom. The house can be made to feel large or cozy. You choose.
The split cormorant rock in front of the living room window offers dramatic ocean scenes as the waves crash over and through the rock formations. The island is continuously inhabited by seals and nesting seabirds providing endless private wildlife viewing.
