The house was clean and spacious, and just a short walk to beautiful temples and gardens. It was lovely meeting Kei and his sister who were very friendly and helpful. We loved staying here and would highly recommend!
A lovely, well-cared-for home in a historic neighborhood of Kyoto. Our host, Kei, was very welcoming and gracious. We only wish we had more time to stay and explore all that Kyoto has to offer!
Our extended family had a wonderful 2 week stay at this property. The property is very centrally located and we all really enjoyed exploring Kyoto each day and returning to our delightful Kyoto “home” each evening. The attention and support we received while staying at the property was phenomenal. The houses were fully stocked with everything for kitchen, bathroom and laundry use. Highly recommend this property!

This was a lovely home and was such a welcome change from hotels. Kei and Mika were so welcoming and helpful. We needed to find the special gift envelopes for a wedding and sent us lots of links. The location is perfect and quiet and easy to get around.

Thank you so much for your kind words! We're delighted that you and your family enjoyed your stay in our Kyoto home. It was a pleasure to host you, and we hope to welcome you back on your next visit to Kyoto!
We stayed in the Sora house as a grpup of 7. Our stay here was wonderful! The property was clean and as advertised. If you are a light sleep choose a bedroom downstairs. Be aware that there is no couch but the dining table is massive with lots of chairs for your large group. The nearest metro is about a 10 min walk amd the bus stops are only 2 mins away.
Mr Nakamura and his son were super helpful and gracious, they explained everything we needed to know about the property and they were so friendly. The property is located in a cozy neighborhood and allows for easy, close access to everything. Mr. Nakamura maintained good contact prior to our arrival to make sure everything was ready for our needs. We wish we would have been at this property longer, and we would readily recommend it to anyone going to Kyoto.
We stayed in the Kaze and Sora for 4 nights when visiting Kyoto. The houses were extremely clean and well organized. We definitely appreciated having the washer/dryer in the home. Location of the property was great. It took us just a few minutes to walk to the closest train station. The host Kei and his assistants especially Mika were very helpful, accommodating and flexible. Definitely recommend this property to anyone visiting Kyoto.

Thank you for staying at our accommodation. We were very glad to host you guys! You’re always welcome. Hope to see you in the future again:)
My family and I had a great stay in the "Sora" property, which was the perfect size for our group of 5. The house was clean, charming, and in a quiet residential neighborhood. Mika was wonderful and responsive both prior to our arrival as well as greeting us and showing us around the house. We did not meet the owner, but he gifted us a nice bottle of sake which we thoroughly enjoyed!
The location was wonderful - walking distance to many temples in the region, as well as about 30 minutes walk to Kiyomizudera and surrounding shopping areas. One thing to note, the streets leading to the property get narrower and narrower, so if traveling to/from by car or taxi, I recommend setting your location to the nearest main street intersection which is just steps away. Japanese taxi drivers insist on bringing you right to the door, and we had a few instances where the cabs got stuck or had a lot of trouble backing out from the narrow streets.
Overall we loved our stay in Kyoto and wish we had more time. Would definitely stay here again!

Hi. My name is Kei. I was born and raised in Kyoto. My family has lived here for more than 250 years. I renovated my houses and started B&B simply because it's very fantastic to meet new guests and to have conversations with them. As a genuine Kyotoite, it would be great if I can show you the core beauty of Kyoto.
