Old Viennese country house with veranda, private garden and free parking

The house is built in the Old Viennese style (winemaker's house) and is located on the southwestern outskirts of Vienna. The Mauer district is known as a wine tavern area and, thanks to the nearby Vienna Woods, is ideal for recreation and relaxation. Well-known wine taverns are within easy walking distance and offer dining and drinking options at reasonable prices.

Visitors to Vienna will particularly appreciate the location on the outskirts of the city. They are quickly accessible by public transport both to Vienna's city center (with all its sights) and to the rural recreation area. From Vienna-Schwechat Airport, Mauer can be reached by airport taxi in about 30 minutes (distance: 30 km) - costs approximately €50. The house is also easily accessible by public transport (tram, line 60).

The house is ideal for allergy sufferers. Since the renovation in 2011, no tenants have brought pets.

The house is nice and has a large garden and is situated near the tram and bus. Owner is very polite The house is clean and you have enough kitchenware. The shower is also large enough and comfortable.

What a beautiful, quiet and quaint little town located close to Vienna but far enough away with less stimuli. The home itself was lovely and welcoming. Comfortable beds, and inviting and traditional decor, which is what we were looking for. Beautiful garden area worh lots of fruit trees. A few suggestions for the owner: fix refrigerator door, cockroach traps would be good as they come out in the night, an automatic light by entrance so that we can see where we are walking in the dark, and more towels/dish towels for longer stays since there are no washer/dryers.

Emotional Helicopter Owners, not recommened for Families

We stayed at this house for about a month with our three children, and unfortunately, we cannot recommend it — especially not for families who value privacy, clarity, and respectful communication.Even during check-in, the situation already felt strange. The Owner told us he will be there working downstairs sometimes. Ok. One Staturday, at 9:15 PM (!)— the owner’s mother suddenly showed up at our door unannounced . She told us hysterical we were not allowed to go to the back garden. None of this had been communicated in advance. Disrespectful. What also wasn’t mentioned: there’s a very loud surveillance device running on the veranda, and a camera monitoring the area from the cellar it seemed — without any prior notice. We constantly felt watched, which is not okay when you’re renting a private home.The house itself was tidy but not clean. Lots of ants. Some roofs were made of weathered Asbestos, . There was visible dust on the walls and furniture — it felt like a place that had just been superficially prepared, not properly cleaned. We made the best of it, as the house is in a decent location, but it’s definitely not luxurious or exceptional in any way like described. NO ADDITIONAL BED LINEN!One of the most disappointing moments came at check out, we were immediately told the house was in a very bad condition and we should pay the cleaning (he seemed to want more money). I said no and he kicked us out. There is obviously a reason why they are only on this platform.

Wir waren in diesem Jahr bereits zum zweiten mal im schönen und gemütlichen Altwiener Landhaus. Das geräumige und sehr gepflegte Haus mit zwei Duschen und zwei WC's (einfach genial!) sowie die Lage sind perfekt für einen erholsamen Aufenthalt in Wien. Die komplett ausgestattete Küche lässt keine Wünsche offen. Besonders positiv: Neben einer Filterkaffeemaschine steht auch eine Kapselmaschine und ein Heißwasserkocher zur Verfügung. Gut gefallen hat uns auch, dass das insgesamt sehr zweckmäßig eingerichtete Haus über zwei Fernseher und ein wirklich gutes WLAN verfügt. Bei schönem Wetter kann man die himmlische Ruhe der schönen Wohngegend auf der von außen und vom Nachbargrundstück nicht einsehbaren Terrasse genießen. Der zum Haus gehörende kostenlose Parkplatz spart die Parkgebühren, die in Wien ansonsten regelmäßig anfallen. Ein Supermarkt, ein Bäcker und weitere Geschäfte für den täglichen Bedarf sowie eine Straßenbahnhaltestelle sind fußläufig gut erreichbar. Auch mehrere Heurigen sind bequem zu Fuß zu erreichen. Ein Auto wird daher eigentlich nicht benötigt. Der Kontakt zu dem sehr hilfsbereiten Gastgeber erfolgte völlig problemlos. Dieser stand bei unserer Ankunft auch für Rückfragen (z.B. Einkaufsmöglichkeiten) zur Verfügung. Wünsche, z.B. nach einem zusätzlichen Badetuch, wurden bereiteillig erfüllt. Wir haben uns auch in diesem Jahr wieder sehr wohlgefühlt. Wir kommen gerne wieder!

Schön renovierter Altbau mit idyllischem Garten.

Wien ist eine schöne Stadt, mit sehr vielen historischen und gut erhaltenen Häusern. Beim nächsten Wienbesuch werden wir die Fewo wieder buchen. Mit den öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln kommt man problemlos in die Innenstadt.

Haus mit Wiener Flair

Sehr gemütliches Haus in einer ruhigen Straße. Die Matratzen waren genau richtig und in den Wohn- und Schlafräumen sind keine Möbel eines bekannten schwedischen Herstellers, was angenehm ist im Vergleich zu "Standart-Ferienhäusern". Es sind alle Elektrogeräte da, die man für den Aufenthalt braucht. Schnelles WLAN, großer Garten. In 5 Minuten Entfernung ist die "Maurer Lange Gasse" mit allen notwendigen Geschäften einschließlich mehrerer Weingüter und Heuriger sowie die Straßenbahnhaltestelle für die Fahrt in Richtung Innenstadt. Wir haben uns dort sehr wohl gefühlt.

Echter Wiener Charme

Vom Checkin durch die charmante Vermieterin incl Rundfahrt durch das Wohngebiet bis zur Rückreise, es war ein Traum. Das Haus hat alles was man benötigt, vollständig eingerichtete Küche, klasse Betten nicht zu weich und nicht zu hart, ein großes Grundstück mit alten Bäumen incl sicherem PKW Stellplatz. Und es sind nur etwa 2 min zur Straßenbahn.

Gemütliches "Wohlfühlhaus"

Wir haben uns in diesem Ferienhaus mit reichlich Platz für alle sehr, sehr wohl gefühlt. Die Vermieterin ist sehr nett und hatte alles bestens organisiert. Die Lösung eines technischen Problems im Haus (was ja überall vorkommen kann) wurde sehr schnell und unkompliziert gelöst. Alles top!

Schöne Stadttour

Haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Ausstattung ist gut. Die Terrasse ist ruhig und war unser bevorzugter Aufenthaltsort. Die Straßenbahnhaltestelle ist um die Ecke und man gelangt relativ schnell in die Innenstadt. Insgesamt ein sehr gelungener Urlaub in diesem Haus.

Die Vermieterin war sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Sie hat uns alle wichtigen Lokalitäten im Stadtteil gezeigt. Das Haus liegt in einem ruhigen Wohnviertel nur 5 Gehminuten von einer Straßenbahnhaltestelle entfernt. Es war sehr geräumig und hervorragend ausgestattet. In dem großen, ruhigen Garten konnten wir gut entspannen. In Haus und Garten war es immer etwas kühler als in der Umgebung. Gerne wieder.

Sehr schönes sauberes Haus, trotz Hitze innen angenehm kühl. Der große Garten war für unsere Kinder ideal zum Austoben. Parken vor dem Haus möglich, in 20 min. ist man mit der Tram in der Innenstadt.

Der Stadtteil Wien-Mauer ist geprägt von Einfamilien- und kleinen Mehrfamilienhäusern. Zu Fuß ist man in 5 Minuten bei der Straßenbahn. Ein Billa-Supermarkt und ein Bio-Supermarkt liegen ebenfalls um die Ecke. Trotzdem ist es sehr ruhig. Parkplatz gibt es ausreichend auf der Straße. Das große anliegende Gartengrundstück lädt im Sommer zum Relaxen und Entspannen ein. Es gibt 2 getrennte Wohnbereiche rechts und links mit jeweils einem Schlafzimmer mit Doppelbett und einem Durchgangszimmer, das als Wohnbereich oder zusätzliches Schlafzimmer dienen kann. In der Mitte liegen die gemeinsame Küche mit vollständiger Ausstattung sowie 2 Bäder mit Dusche. Die Veranda konnten wir im Winter nicht nutzen, da sie unbeheizt ist. Im Sommer ist es aber sicher sehr schön dort. Ideal ist diese Unterkunft für einen Familienurlaub mit Kindern oder zwei befreundete Paare.
