Great mountain retreat

We had a great time, the location was amazing and the house had nice amenities. The hot tub and fire pit were awesome, and the house had a lot of beds and bathrooms.

Large hunting lodge feel with rustic charms

This house is a hunting cabin, and has that feel. The log cabin has animals and fish on the walls, and the rustic charm of a place that is a good 25 min from any kind of civilization. If that sounds good to you, then you'll love this house. We had a family reunion at the house and it was perfect for our large family. It wasn't the cleanest place but I'm not sure what you'd expect in a hunting cabin... The property provided the escape our family needed, and we really appreciated all of the dishes (you don't always get that in a VRBO.

I miss the house already

Going up the mountain was scary but once we got up the mountain it was amazing. The stay was so much fun I miss it already. The only thing bad was the cleaning , the place needs a deep clean, there was an old sponge in the shower. Other than that it was nice.

It was definitely not what the pictures seem. I have stayed at many of cabins, and this one was the dirtiest I have ever seen. We left early because the cabin was so hott inside also . Bugs in all the sinks ,dead birds On path to hott tub , so much bird poop on the entrance steps didn’t even wanna go up them , hot tub surroundings were so grown up couldn’t even hardly get in it. Downstairs smelt so bad like something dead .. was very very disappointed it was mine and my husband’s first trip to Colorado, and we left early.

BEWARE. DO NOT RENT THIS PROPERTY!

The negative reviews are accurate. The photos of this property are misleading and DO NOT accurately reflect the condition of this property. It is falsely advertised. This property is extremely dirty and rundown. It also has a very strong odor which may be due to a septic problem not disclosed. We were forced to keep the doors open in March to mitigate the smell and ultimately left early due to the conditions.Note: Evolve, the property management company was helpful and professional. They did try to help with resolution. Unfortunately, the property owner, Thuy Nguyen, was not as willing to come to an appropriate monetary resolution. They either do not have the means or do not know how to upkeep a property of this size.I have several photos to back my claims and would post them if this site allowed me to do so.

Mediocre home

This home definitely has potential to be a 5 star stay, however the home has definitely been neglected. The pictures in the home were outdated, home was not clean. Floors, furniture, stove and refrigerator among other things need a deep cleaning and have not been cleaned in a very long time. There was no gas grill as listed and we had planned most of our meals to be cooked on the grill which led to lots of extra time using charcoal. There was no elevator as listed and my father was unable to go to the other floors of the home with his grandkids. There is definitely a rodent problem and we saw/caught multiple mice, and the deck was covered in rodent poop . The home also needs sprayed for spiders. The outside landscaping could also use some attention as you cannot walk down the stairs to the hot tub without branches hitting you. Positives were the location of the home is amazing as well as the size of the home. If the property were to be cleaned up and the rodent problem dealt with I would stay at this property again, however in it's current state I would not.

Do NOT Trust the PHOTOS!!!

The photos that are on the listing are fraudulent, they may be of the property 5-6 years ago. Everything at the property was either broken or in a state of being broken- the stove, dishwasher, cook top, BBQ, stereo, WIFI were either not operable or did not as they should. The place was so dirty we could not use anything without washing it first- used band aid in the shower, dead mice at the downstairs entrance, mice droppings all over the basement, greased over lightbulbs in the kitchen. I have photos to prove the disgusting condition of the home. They advertised WIFI and the only thing you could get was text message and some emails without attachments. I understand being out of towm, I live in Idaho so I understand remote- just be honest with people and let me know how bad the WIFI is and that NO devices will work with the download or upload speed. The property management of EVOLVE was worthless- they sent us the 3:00 check in information at 5:00. I even sent them an email at 1:30 asking for the information so our party stood outside the property for over 2 hours waiting to get in. Once in I responded to their email about the filthy conditions the house was in with no response. I have since sent them 5 emails both to the assigned agent to the property and to cooperate and as of today no response from either???? We were charged for a cleaning fee and stayed in a place that luckily our wives did not make the trip or would have certainly NOT stayed. I am asking VRBO to look into this property and not allow the owner or EVOLVE to scam any other possible users. We paid serious money for our week stay and feel we were lied to and taken advantage of- we are asking for some type of refund on this fraudulent listing. I am hopeful that VRBO will respond to this review and will not ignore me like EVOLVE. Brian Trumble

Family gathering

All three generations of our family gathered for the first time since 2018. The house served our needs well. It is remote enough to be quite private yet near the outdoor recreation we sought. The space was eclectic and quite comfortable. It has many quirky decorations including many mounted fish and game. The hot tub and pool table were favorites as well as the fire pit and the scramble down to the tiny stream on the property. We prepared all our meals in the kitchen. There were minor annoyances that were easy for our group to work around and the manager was quick to respond to our questions.

Katy Prestige Baseball Trip

The property was amazing! Everything you needed was at your fingertips. The boys explored outside, climbed the mountains, played pool, and still had time for the hot tube. It was nice seeing boys be boys and not have their phones attached to them. All of our other friends were staying in Avon and we were worried about the drive back and forth...The drive and views are amazing in that area.....100% worth it. Would definitely return!!!

Fun weekend with friends

Overall we had a great experience staying at this cabin for a few days. Great, secluded location in the mountains, but still 30 minutes from town. Plenty of space and cool amenities (hot tub, sauna, deck area). Only a few minor issues with some door handles falling off and oven not working at times (owner called someone out to look at it right away, but needed to be replaced).

Enjoyable experience

Overall our stay was great. When we first arrived the driveway to get to the house hadn’t been plowed so we couldn’t find the house and once we did we couldn’t get through. Luckily a neighbor was able to plow it for us. The first night the heat and hot water didn’t work. After we contacted the host it was fixed and worked perfectly the remainder of our stay. The scenery is amazing and the amenities made the stay enjoyable.

It was a beautiful house and would have been perfect if all of the amenities worked, such as, the sound system, oven handle, keurig, upstairs grill, bathtub jets, coffee table legs, and stove vent fan. Also, the water was yellow and their was a rat nest and feces on the main floor grill. There was also many mice. We called and emailed the property manager multiple times to request assistance with the sound system and never received a reply.
