Great Cottage

Chloe (my dog) and I had a great time. This was the first time I had been to Holden Beach since the 1970's. It is very different! The house was great. We used it as a landing spot and travelled to OIB each day to meet family. It was nice to be on a quiet street. The cottage is well equipped with all the things that make a beach stay perfect.

Nice Location, House Shows A Lot of Wear, Promised Amenities Should Be Provided, Fantastic Deck

We stayed 3 nights at Miss Me Yet. It was an enjoyable beach weekend. The location is fantastic, with a very short 0.25 mile walk to the nearest public beach access. This house was pet friendly which was great, but the carpet lining the main walkway needs to be ripped up. It was greasy and stained. The furniatire in the main living room was also dingy and felt unclean to sit on. We understand it’s a beach house, a rental, and pet friendly, but there needs to be a way to make it feel clean. The cable TV and WiFi were great and we enjoyed watching TV at night. The new deck was fun to sit on in the mornings and evenings to enjoy the view of the canal. The air conditioner worked very well, and kept the house comfortable. One disappointing find was previous reviews claimed beach chairs and a beach wagon. Upon arrival no such amenities were found so we ended up having to go purchase our own chairs. There was also sadly no propane in the grill that we were excited to use to cook burgers one night, so our planned evening of grilling turned into a not so Memorial Day beachy indoor baking experience. The beds were comfortable, but could use some new soft sheets. Also, asking tennants to bring their own towels and paper towels is fine, but at least provide toilet paper as a general courtesy. Overall pleased with the house. The location really makes it a good stay. Would recommend again if owners feel clean and make sure amenities advertised are avalible.

Nice location. House needs some money spent on it.

Nice location on canal. New dock for our boat. House needs some attention. Deck and railing are almost dangerous. Pickets and boards are loose. Ants were really bad in the kitchen. Ceiling had visible cracks showing. Two of the bedroom TVs did not work. Carpet had several large stains. Sheets that were provided had bleach spots on them. Will not stay here again.
