Pros - [ ] Place was clean- [ ] On a busy street but the unit itself was quite Cons- [ ] Unit did not have control of the heat, or a thermostat in the place- [ ] When contacting the host it was 6 plus hours for a reply. - [ ] When looking for the missing remote it was found in between the sofa - this had not been cleaned recently - [ ] There was no exit instructions - better communication would be wonderful.

The unit was the perfect size for two people in an older house renovated into approximately 8–9 units. The kitchen was adequately stocked with a refrigerator, toaster oven, microwave, coffee pot, electric kettle, two-burner stovetop, cookware, dishes, utensils, and some spices. The bed was fine. The host was very responsive, usually replying within 30 minutes and answering all our questions. Shared laundry is upstairs, and the spiral-like stairs require caution when coming down. The location is convenient to Mayo Clinic, although construction made walking difficult, so driving was necessary. Parking in the west garage was a little intimidating at first due to construction, but everyone was very helpful.A few things need improvement. The shower water pressure was extremely low, and the old, thin towels need replacing. Guests cannot adjust the AC themselves and must message the host for temperature changes. The unit also felt humid much of the time, although opening the windows after a cold front made it much more comfortable.Overall, the unit was a convenient size for two, and the host was helpful and responsive. Addressing the shower, towels, and temperature control would improve the experience.

Great location, perfect for out of town Mayo treatment

The property was perfect for our stay in Rochester, it was an easy 10min walk to the Mayo building and 12 min walk to St Marys campus (perfect for getting to/from Mayo appts without the hassle of parking). Kitchenette was nice for us to be able to cook and prep store bought foods, grocery store just a 5 minute drive from the property. On site laundry facilities were a definite plus for us as well. Rita was super quick to respond with any concerns. Happy to have a great location and well appointed apartment for our stay in Rochester.

Perfect location for Mayo Clinic

If you're visiting the Mayo Clinic, this is a perfect place to stay. It's any easy ten minute slow stroll to all the major Mayo Clinic downtown buildings. If you're visiting a family member or a friend who is a patient at the Mayo Clinic's St. Mary's Hospital, it's one short block away. The studio apartment is on the ground floor of a two floor building so it's easily accessible especially if you don't want to climb stairs. There's plenty of easy parking at the back of the building. Our hosts, Rita and Qamar, were quick in their response to all our requests and did everything they could to make our stay as comfortable as possible. We arrived earlier than the official check in time and they were happy to accommodate our request to check in early. The studio is close to restaurants, shops and grocery stores. The apartment addressed all our needs and we would highly recommend it to anyone wishing for accommodation while visiting the Mayo Clinic or Rochester in general.
