Lovely sunny break

We loved our stay at the villa, very private and relaxing. We had a few issues with broken equipment but Bev always responded immediately and helped to rectify them. Very grateful to have a welcome pack in the villa after arriving late at night with young children. We would love to stay again in the future!

Great house, quiet location

Communication with Bev was swift and easy. The house and grounds are large, clean, attractive and well maintained. It was a very pleasant place to stay. It was also thoughtful that when we arrived there were most things we needed (toilet paper, soap, some drinks etc) until we could get to the shop. The only point to be aware of (unless I missed something) is that it is a 10 minute motorway drive to the nearest shops, although personally we appreciated the peace and quiet. I would happily stay here again.

Loved the house

The house had everything you'd want for a week in the sunshine in October. Lovely open plan kitchen/living space. The bedrooms and bathrooms all fantastic. We were torn on whether to heat the pool, but in the end we didn't and it was warm enough for us - prob around 24 degrees in mid to late October. The kids spend loads of time in it, although the grown ups preferred to wait until it was fully in the sun mid-morning. When there was a small problem with downstairs toilet, this was fixed very quickly. We had a great week - thank you Bev!

The only thing that disturbed us much was that the house was completely cold when we arrived at night. We needed 2 or 3 days to get the house warm. That was not ok. The rest was fine and like it was written in the description.

I am sorry that the guests found it cold for the first couple of days. I have a very effective heating system and, given that the daytime temperatures were unusually high for the end of February/beginning of March were unusually high (24 to 25 degrees) I am surprised that this was the case. However I will ensure that for future bookings at this time of year I will ensure the heating is turned on in advance. I am pleased that the guests were happy with everything else.

Just what we were looking for

Have just returned from a fantastic 2 week stay at this beautiful villa. It is just as seen on the pictures (maybe bigger) and the description is spot on. Everything you need is there. In a lovely quiet location but within easy reach of Paphos airport and the beautiful harbour area. Very easy to drive around the island and the Cypriot people are fantastic and extremely helpful. Bev is extremely accommodating to your needs and very quick to reply. We had a small electrical issue which was repaired the following morning by a really lovely man. The grounds are kept extremely well and Martin keeps the pool great. There are very few villas where we have had the pool cleaned twice weekly despite it being advertised as so. We would recommend this villa to anyone looking for a relaxing holiday but with access to more activity if that's what you want. Thanks Bev. Already missing Cyprus.

Week away to enjoy a luxury villa sit back and chill....it was amazing.

This was an absolutely stunning property with an amazing pool..ample space... fantastic rooms... beautifully furnished and Bev the owner a perfect host... We wanted a chilled holiday and some peace and it did not disappoint the swimming pool was used daily for long periods of time and with the added bonus of pool lighting in and and out a dip at night had to be done...the villa is set in a great location close to a golf course...10mins from a well stocked supermarket and a further 5 mins pathos harbour which has great bars and restaurants...Bev the host owner coudnt do enough for us..sorting out the hire car company to use who were first class...the very welcoming food pack in the fridge. And a very detailed and helpful pack explaining everything you need to know about the Villa. We had simply the best holiday ever and were so sad to leave...and what was a great bonus..our flight was not to the evening...so Bev kindly re arranged the cleaners so instead of checking out in the morning we enjoyed another full day chilled by the pool....I would fully recommend this villa and I will be rebooking for next year ...thank you for a great time.

Luxus Villa mit Mängeln Leider entspricht vieles nicht der Beschreibung Positiv:Hochwertig gebaute und moderne Villa mit gepflegtem Garten.Der Pool ist in einem sehr guten sauberen ZustandKontaktlose einfache Übergabe Rohrverstopfung wurde nach Info an Eigentümer sehr schnell behobenNegativ:Die Villa hat keinen nennenswerten Meerblick Man sieht das Meer nur von einem Kleinstbalkon (nur im Stehen) und einem Schlafzimmerfenster Die Villa liegt in der Einflugschneise des Flughafen Paphos Die Anzahl der ankommenden Flugzeuge erhöht sich extrem in den Abendstunden Bei der Ankunft hat es im Haus gemuffelt, nicht mal die Klimaanlage war eingeschaltet. Das Geschirr war sehr schlecht gespült, wir mussten zuerst die Spülmaschine mehrmals laufen lassen. Das Kochgeschirr ist in einem desolaten Zustand. In den Küchenschränken lagern angebrochene, verdorbene Lebensmittel und vieles mehr von zahlreichen vorherigen Gästen. Der Grillplatz ist in einem Zustand, der nicht zum Grillen einlädt.4 der 6 Pool-Liegen waren defekt.Ursächlich ist wohl der Housekeeper dafür verantwortlich, schade.Mit relativ wenig Aufwand ließe sich die Villa in eine wirkliche Luxus Villa zum Wohlfühlen verwandeln.

I am sorry that you did not report these issues to me on arrival as the majority could have been resolved very quickly had I been aware. I was not aware until I read your review that you had any criticisms. The pool was relined at the beginning of 2025 and is serviced and cleaned twice weekly by the maintenance company. I will make your complaints known to them and to the cleaner for failing to throw away food items left by previous guests and not checking that crockery was completely clean when put away. A new outdoor kitchen with gas barbecue is being installed early next year and any broken sunloungers replaced (although I believe you had sufficient for your number). The villa is not frontline but does have sea views from the front and rear balconies and from a number of windows. I’m sorry if you expected more. I will ensure I take on your comments for future guests as these are the first criticisms I have received and am very sorry that you were not completely happy.

Wirklich eine tolle Villa, gerne wieder !

Es handelt sich hier wirklich um eine tolle Villa. Perfekt eingerichtet! Da aufgrund von Covid-19 der Kontakt nur per Mail stattgefunden hat, muss ich sagen, es war eine perfekte Betreuung durch den Vermieter Bev. Bei Ankunft hatten wir ein kleine technisches Problem (defekte Klimaanlage in einem Zimmer). Wurde nach einer kurzen Mail innerhalb von 24 h durch einen Techniker behoben. Dies Villa hat ganz klar 5 Sterne verdient. Einziger Punkt der mir nicht gefallen hat, sind die Putzfrauen. Diese würde ich schlichtweg entlassen, da die Villa beim Start nur oberflächlich gereinigt war, als auch nach einer Woche als Bettwäsche und Handtücher gewechselt wurden haben die Damen so gut wie nichts geputzt.

Fantastic week in great villa

What a great place to spend a week away with our family. The villa was exactly as described and is in a quiet, yet accessible location. The pool was a highlight, we chose to have the pool heating which I cannot recommend enough. The pool was used from sunrise to sunset and at no point did we or our small children ever feel cold in the water. The added bonus (for some) will be access to all the English TV channels, sport, films and kids programmes. Bev (owner) has been nothing but helpful and responds to all questions and requests quickly. Thanks and I'm sure we will be back. Mark and family.

Spacious luxury villa

We six adults and two young children 4 and 1 years old, arrived at Villa Palagia in Cyprus, We have rented villas before in Cyprus in Kissonerga, and Peyia but this was by far the largest and luxurious one we have had the leisure to stay in. Having settled in after a night time arrival we were greeted to a welcome pack from the owner, a nice touch we thought! Then n opening the blackout curtains the next morning and viewing the extensive manicured gardens both front and back of the villa there as only one thing to do, JUMP in the oversized pool for a rental villa to cool down. The villa is comfortable clean with everything you would need even down to a filtered coffee machine, it’s American style large fridge freezer with its iced water dispenser was very much appreciated. The beds, sofas, seating areas where as you would expect! There was plenty of sun loungers, and an outside barbecue which was so great dining out by the pool in the evening. Some villas we have rented don’t look anything like real life on arrival but the images for this villa where exact, there are no issues with this property it’s large modern and more than adequate with its hundreds of tv channels free WiFi and bluetooth music speaker system ! The owner of the villa Bev, was informative, helpful and at the end of the phone and also had pool, cleaning, and maintainance on hand if needed but we didn’t, which is testamemt to a good villa rental host. Both myself and whole family wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this delightful villa, yes it is in a very quiet luxury estate of villas but it’s no more than ten minutes to Pathos on the A6, half an hour to Limassol, and one hour and thirty minutes to Aiya Napa! What more could you ask for. Would we go back yes defo! Jim bradley

Beautiful villa in stunning location

We stayed here for a month and had the most amazing time. The villa was in the most delightful area not too far from the stunning coast line. You do need a car. Taxi’s are expensive. We found several wonderful places to eat, a particular mention to an Italian restaurant in Pathos called Grazie. The food was fresh and the owner always made us feel very welcome. Another nice place to visit is Pissouri Bay which we visited on several occasions for lunch sitting on sea front overlooking spectacular bay at Captains Bay restaurant. The villa had all the amenities that you could want for your stay and the pool was very welcome especially after a long morning sightseeing. We stayed throughout October and did need it heated. Bev the owner was extremely prompt in responding to all messages and when an air conditioning unit blocked an engineer was fixing it the next day! Can’t get the same service at home!! Overall a fantastic holiday and I’m sure we will be back in the not so distant future.

This villa is just what it says on the tin . Unlike some villa's which clearly have photo's taken with fish eye cameras to make them look larger this is exactly as it looks. It is spacious, clean, quiet, well equipped and has lovely views with a good sized pool which was cleaned twice during the week we stayed by a very polite and friendly pool man. As we had a car it was the ideal location for us with a few small villages quite close by and a very good supermarket on the way to Mandra which had much better quality and fresher produce than the Carrefour we initially went to. We enjoyed our trips into Paphos where there is something for everyone we particularly liked Zaza and suite 48. The welcome pack was very much appreiciated and meant we didn't have to go shopping until the next day. The service provided by the owner was excellent we were allowed to get into the property as soon as we arrived and didn't have to wait until the usual arrival time. We had a few niggles a broken step leading to the rear garden, a lick of paint in places would of made the villa look fresher. More than 1 umbrella and a fan for each room as the air conditioning only stayed on for 2 hours at a time. ( maybe not usually an issue but in July it made the nights very hot) These things did not detract from the fact this was a very good quality villa and we would stay again and recommend it to friends. We have been to Cyprus many times and wouldn't think twice about returning here !

We are due to go out to the villa in a couple of weeks for a 3 week stay and I will certainly take on board your comments about the umbrellas (there should always be at least two) and fans and will investigate the broken step (i was not aware) and the paintwork that needs retouching. For 2016 the villa has been completely redecorated inside and a new stone step fitted. I have also upgraded the kitchen.

Highly Recommended villa

I have stayed in Villa Pelaga for the last two years and have already booked my 2015 stay. The villa itself it stunning and really spacious, with loads of indoor and outdoor living space. We were six adults and could comfortably fit around either of the dining tables or on the sofas in the living room to watch a movie. We cooked every night at the huge BBQ station but there is also a large and well appointed kicthen which was really handy. The bedrooms are comfortable and well appointed (air conditioning throughout which is a must in high summer), and the huge range of English TV channels was excellent (and would be particularly good for kids). We had no trouble accessing the wifi and the signal was always good. Location-wise the villa was great for us, being about 10 mins drive away from the gorgeous Pissouri and around 15-20 minutes from both central and Kato Paphos. If you were feeling very brave (and had lathered on plenty of suncream) it is possible to walk to the beach from the villa (just follow the sea view!!) - but far more pleasant to take the 2min drive. The owner was super attentive and helpful, providing absolutely loads of information on the villa (and how to work all the appliances etc) and the surrounding area, including restaurant reccomendations and details of local events, but she was also contactable via text or email to answer any questions we had. If you are travelling outside of July-September time I would definitely reccommend the pool heating - it meant we could swim long after sunset and early in the morning which we really aappreciated. In summary, I can't recommend this villa enough and look forward to returning.

Best Holiday Ever

Great place to go with the whole family, excellent facilities and didn't want to leave. Perfect setting to watch the sun go down every night, or enjoy a glass of vino by the pool. Looking forward to returning 2015. Even Wifi and movies for the kids to enjoy after a busy day.

Pelaglia

Very briefly as I don't normally write reviews - The Villa was perfect and not overstated from its description, there was everything that you could wish for provided and more, the pool area was great, very private and not overlooked, the neighbouring properties were not close enough to have any impact on your enjoyment, the location is just great, Secret Valley although not having any shops is a beautifully designed development of very individual properties, there are two supermarkets and half a dozen of lovely Taverna's in Kouklia which is only about 3km away. The local Golf Course is championship standard and at the time of my visit has only been reopened for six weeks after substantial development. Bev the owner of Pelaglia was more than helpful and very attentive to our needs, she provided us with contact details for local competitive car hire companies and made our trip as trouble free as possible. We would definitely return, which is not something we would normally consider.

I am so pleased that the guests enjoyed their stay at the villa and would be very pleased if they decide to have another holiday there. The new golf course at Secret Valley is now the best in Cyprus and even boasts 3 floodlight holes for nightime/cooler play.

My name is Bev and I live with my partner in Reigate, Surrey. I worked for the Court Service for nearly 40 years after getting a law degree from Sheffield University. I have a keen interest in interior design and have taken a number of part time courses to increase my knowledge. I am always so pleased when guests tell me how much they have enjoyed their holiday at the villa - many return year after year.

Why they chose this property

I fell in love with Cyprus and with Secret Valley (now called Venus Rock) where my villa is located in 2003. The Cypriots are warm and friendly and the country has so much to offer both socially and culturally. To me Secret Valley is a magical place with dramatic sea and mountain views from all sides. Its extremely peaceful and secluded but at the same time close at hand to all the facilities you might want when on holiday (if you can drag yourself away from the pool.). Aphrodite Hills with its bars, restaurants, shops, health spa and sports facilities is literally next door and less than a 5 mins drive. In the other direction (and also less than 5 mins drive) is the ancient and traditional Cypriot Village of Kouklia with its bars and tavernas. Paphos town centre is only a 15 minutes drive away.

What makes this property unique

I spend all my holidays at the villa and it is very much my second home. I have furnished and equipped it to a very high standard and my interest in interior design has been extremely useful in getting the right feel of spaciousness and light. The villa is much larger than an average 3 bed and is on a large plot which, with the now mature hedges, gives perfect privacy and seclusion. I am always looking at ways to improve the facilities when I can and in recent years have installed pool heating for guests staying in the cooler months and a wood burner. There are smart TVs in the living room and master bedroom. The TV system in the living room has the full Sky package with all major UK channels and automatic recording of all programmes during the past 5 days. Unusually for Cyprus I have high speed wi-fi - so important in today's world and there is a high quality i-pod dock. The villa is redecorated throughout and an upgraded kitchen and new bathrooms installed.
