About this property

Delightful garden cottage, realistically priced, near to Gibbs / Mullins beaches

Warawee cottage is well designed, airy and set in over half an acre of beautiful tropical manicured gardens. This delightful cottage is secure, tastefully furnished and comprises one bedroom with vaulted ceiling, shower room, separate fully fitted kitchen and a lounge-diner. It has its own private terrace surrounded by hibiscus, ginger lilies and bougainvillea. A wood gazebo with table and chairs for you to enjoy alfresco dinning and sun beds for topping up the tan. It is secluded and offers privacy. There are ceiling fans throughout, Air conditioning in the bedroom, satellite TV, with sports channels/package, WiFi and secure parking. There is outside night lighting which can be operated manually if required. The walk to both Gibbs or Mullins beaches is level and takes 3-4 mins. The housekeeper is on site 5 days weekly usually from 09.00 her days vary according to guests needs. Wendy has been with us for 26 years. She is utterly trust worthy and a fountain of local knowledge; so if you have any queries about the bus or shops, just ask. We can arrange for a taxi to collect you from the airport, you pay him direct.
Wendy cleans the cottage twice weekly, when linen and beach towels are changed. She often meets and welcomes new guests on arrival, but there is an information booklet giving all details you will need if she is unable to greet guests. An email is sent a week before arrival giving full access details.
Although there is a pool available in the garden, it is attached to the main house. If the main house is empty then all are welcome to use it.

Fabulous garden cottage, literally a steady 5 minutes walk to Gibbes beach or 3 minutes to Mullins beach. Well-equipped and freshly decorated, with aircon in bedroom. Everything as described and more. Looked after by the lovely Wendy but not intrusive. Hummingbirds, green monkeys, parakeets and butterflies in abundance in the amazing garden. Such a relaxing holiday - we will be back

Our 5th trip to this lovely cottage and still special. A great place to stay with everything you need, including humming birds buzzing about. Opposite best beaches in Barbados, in my opinion, and very easy access to multiple restaurants, bars and locations.

What a wonderful garden villa, in the most amazing gardens with the perfect hosts including Wendy, a wonderful housekeeper. It has all you need for a truly relaxing break, Gibbs beach is awesome and Mullins beach bar is the perfect end to a long lazy day on the beach with the nicest staff. We couldn't recommend it enough and the local knowledge imparted by the owners on where and when makes it so much more special and personal.

Sam’s place is a British 1 bed cottage in the grounds of her property. Ideal for a couple. It is tranquil and walking distance to the beaches. Cottage is fully equipped for all you need if you want tea eat in and also has portable sunbed chairs To take to the beach. Highly recommend for a quote stay in Brasil Barbardos

A little "Gem" in a perfect location

The location of this villa is perfect. 5mins to Gibbs Bay which is a quiet beach or 5mins to Mullens, which has a couple of bars. Really quiet - air con perfect for the night time. Very clean - every thing you need for a peaceful stay. We hired a car for the last few days, no issues with parking the hire car on the property. We will return. Host very helpful and great communication.

Was told would be no one in the big house so pool would be just us so I booked .. when arrived someone was in the other house would of preferred to be told before we arrived

The comments have been noted. There are two properties, the main house which is not on the rental market and villa which is. The pool position is adjacent to main house which often has family or friends staying. Also it is not a hotel size area as photos show. Guests in the main house usually have no objection to others joining them and often welcome the company. Occasionally this does not work as one would hope.

Our 3rd stay at Warrawee cottage which I think sums up our feelings. We have already booked for next year. Great location close to Gibbs and mullins beach. Good WiFi. Everything you need. Another lovely stay

The peacefulness and tranquility of the gardens and cottage bring us back. We spent most of our time outside under the covered patio enjoying all that Warawee offers. Thank you to Wendy and Sam for looking after us. We had some lovely chats with Sam the owner who knows so much about Barbados past and present. As always Wendy took care of the cottage and us so well.

My husband and I had been visiting Barbados since 1980 and built Warawee in 1993. The small cottage was completed in 2000 with parents in mind who spent winters here. Both houses have a traditional feel and look, but European standards. Being keen gardeners we developed this at the same time and it has become a lovely oasis.
We retired from business and in our 60's we divided our time between Barbados and a home in the UK
Barbados to us is England in the sun. Since my husband passed away I have maintained Warawee and regard this very much a home. My time continues to be divided between Barbados, UK and world travel. Warawee is to relax and recover.
