This contemporary yet charming villa is set in a landscaped and rustic garden, incorporating numerous fruit trees and grape vines. It has spacious light and airy open plan entertaining areas with a modern open fireplace, character beams, a well thought out and practical commercial kitchen with separate pantry. French windows run along the entire length of the villa opening out to a large 200sqm terrace, making the most of its exceptionally stunning views. The terrace has a couple of fixed sunshade coverings, one for outside eating to seat 16, the other shading a sofa relation sundowner area. This overlooks the “beach” and large swimming pool.
There is something for everyone, whether you enjoy country walks, fishing in the river, or a round of golf at nearby La Bastide or Valbonne, or maybe just relaxing on 'The Beach' and playing pool at the bar, you will not be short of things to do. Due to the semi-rural location, the villa is not in a domaine and boasts excellent privacy and yet is only 5 minutes drive to the nearest shops and restaurants.
Grasse is nearby with its numerous perfume or sweet factories. Cannes is a 30 mins drive and Nice is the same. Antibes is slightly further and Italy (Ventimiglia) is an hour away.

We had an amazing stay. The property is just as described and the location was amazing. We were so close to everything we needed to do.
The property was exceptionally clean and the the minor issue we did have (running out of BBQ gas) was quickly sorted.
Thanks for letting us stay at your lovely property. Should we vacation in the area again we would absolutely stay here.
The property is large and in a wonderful position with glorious views of the surrounding countryside. It suited our needs well with plenty of space and the pool was great for the kids. We had minor problems with things but Katie was very prompt at replying and sorted things out for us.
We stayed in this house for one week with a group of friends. The house was really beautiful and with a lot of space. There was a big swimmingpool and a pooltable. We had a lot of fun. Also the view on the little town was amazing.
The only thing what came as a surprise was the gardener who lives in a small house next to the house. BUT the gardener was very friendly and didn’t disturbed us.
We really recommend the house!!

Nice large villa with plenty sun
Overall great stay and lots of bedsrooms with seperate bathrooms. Spacious , so oppertunity to stay a little secluded if needed. Large swimming pool, had our issues with getting it clean , so had to spend several hours getting the bottom clean. Personally i think there needed to be more gardering done, as the plants are taking over. 😀 but that offcourse i just my oppinion.
A beautiful, rustic, family property with a big pool, fantastic outdoor dining area and stunning views of the hilltop village of Le Bar sur Loup. Some quirky things, such as the electrics - took us a day or two to find/figure out all the light switches. The house itself is comfortable but we struggled with the heat and humidity, despite the ceiling fans in every room (there is no air conditioning). This was especially the case at night as we had to shut the doors and windows to keep the mosquitos out.Due to the remote and mountainous location, it is essential to have a (small) car to get anywhere, even if it’s just to get to the supermarket or to dispose of your household rubbish. The walk to the nearest bars, restaurants and shops (in Le Bar Sur Loup) is very steep, without pavements at times, and taxing in the summer heat. As Brits in a family-sized hire car, we found driving to be extremely challenging as many of the roads locally are narrow, rocky, and have hairpin bends. This meant that we did not get to explore the area as we had hoped. However, Audrey and Florent (who manage the property and who live next door) were extremely helpful in advising us, and responded quickly to all other questions and queries that we had.Communication was also very good with the host, Camilla, prior to our arrival.

Thank you so much for your lovely comments. I am sorry that we did not highlight that the house is slightly more
more rural than you expected and you need a car to get to the local village. I am so happy that you appreciated the views and the pool and nighttime experience. I would love you to stay again!
Alles da was das Herz begehrt.
Overall very good , had problems with the internet but sorted and one of the bathrooms was not good - electric toilet with no ability to dispose of any paper and the shower made the floor very wet - don’t think this was a wet room.
Quite serious as there were 7 of us ( big house ) but only 2 fully functioning toilets .
Lovely setting , great pool and kifchen

Not the holiday experience I expected
We rented the house of Camilla for 10 days. The view of this house is the best asset, just priceless when you are swimming in the pool and have the best view over Le Bar-sur-Loup.
In my opinion the house could use some small renovation works (a lot of lights were not working, eating terrace is not clean due to straf roow that lost a lot of dirt and the pool house was not clean at all).
This would all go away if we had an easy communication with Camilla, but that wasn't the case either.
Just some lessons learned for myself.

I’m disappointed by this review. I really don’t feel that this is the truth of what happened.
This review was left, after I advised the guest of some money to be deducted from the deposit. I have only charged, (paid out and approved by VRBO, after providing photographic evidence), the actual costs for the damaged items, additional cleaning and laundrette hours.
The villa has been rented out for the past 12 years, this is the first time, I have had a problem or complaint about cleanliness and things not working. During their stay, there was at least one party, where the local police arrived at 2am, due to noise complaints. The villa was left in a much dirtier condition than normal, as well as multiple items damaged, with red wine stains.
In terms of communication, before the stay I sent a couple of emails with directions, local Covid19 updated information and what to expect in the villa. This has my email address as well as telephone/Whatsapp. On top of this, there is an on-site property manager, (who lives in the annexe), he greeted the guest on arrival and departure.

About the host
Hosted by Miss Camilla Gibbs
I am a single lady living in London with my Giant Schnauzer. After many visits to South of France, who could not fall in love, hence I purchased the property 18 years ago. I am a designer by trade, but my love is cooking, I'm a qualified chef, hence you will find everything you need when it comes to food preparation.
Why they chose this property
I fell in love with the view immediately. There are very few houses anywhere nearby, the garden is exceptionally tranquil, whether by day or night.
Being a country house there are seasonally, numerous wildlife to experience, ie fire flies briefly in the spring. A mother deer with its fawn are often seen eating on the lawn. Unfortunately there are sometimes wild boar, but normally only in October.
What makes this property unique
There is something for everyone, whether you enjoy country walks, fishing in the river, or a round of golf at nearby La Bastide or Valbonne, or maybe just relaxing on 'The Beach' and playing pool at the bar, you will not be short of things to do.
Grasse is nearby with its numerous perfume or sweet factories. Cannes/Nice with its elegant promenades and restaurants and the copious variety of beaches or port of Antibes within an easy drive.
