Wonderful place. Our favourite places to stay during our whole trip. Beautiful cottage and the host was so sweet.

The cottage was comfortable and clean. The location had stunning views of the Burren with access to trails right from the driveway. The locals were amazing including our host Anne as well as Peter and Nina at Mountain View Horse Centre! O’Donohue’s pub has the best seabass supper with lovely folks serving us. We hope to return soon.
Inish Mór on pony and trap ride with Garry and Jessie. Jessie did the heavy work while Garry told us a bit of his life on the island, we wish them well!

Great place to stay on the west coast

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The Burren is right out the door and the countryside is beautiful. House was well stocked and clean. We used this as our base of operations for a few days while exploring Galway and other places on the west coast of Ireland. Would definitely recommend!

Lovely!

Coming from a city, this house was a little piece of heaven with the ocean, green fields, and birdsong. Anne was incredibly kind and made sure we had anything we needed. I'm already dreaming about going back!

Loved our experience

Ann was such a wonderful host. She was so friendly and helpful. The cottage was comfortable and cozy. The cottage was beautifully and authentically designed. Everything that we wanted to see was within a 2-3 hour drive. The cottage was away from the business and noise of towns but within 10-15 kilometers of pubs, markets, sites to visit like Doolin Caves and Aiwee Caves, and stores.

The cottage was impeccable when we arrived. Check-in couldn’t have been easier, as it was entirely up to us when to arrive and check in. The host, Anne, was extremely welcoming and friendly, which seems to be characteristic of the Irish along the west coast. She responded immediately to inquiries, so we were never left wondering. The cottage has a little guest book with lots of great information on local pubs and restaurants, the sites, and the fascinating history of the area. The house itself is very charming, with all the modern comforts while still retaining the character of the local architecture. And finally, for anyone who appreciates the countryside, the wild coast along the Atlantic, and literary and historical traditions, this area is perfect for a relaxing and fascinating sojourn. We can only highly recommend the Fanore Cottages.

Lovely stay

We had a lovely stay at the cottage. The cottage feels very authentic and kind of old. The location was in the country near the coast. The area is beautiful!Ann was a wonderful host. The plumbing was a little wonky. There was an extra energy charge when we checked out which was unexpected. It was not a lot, but just unexpected.I would recommend this if you want to experience the Irish country and coast.

Cottage between The Burren and the Sea

A clean, roomy cottage with 5 bedrooms, large kitchen, dining room and living room. The host is wonderful and so knowledgeable of the area if you have any questions. The cottage is not located in a village so be sure to stock up on groceries in Ballyvaughan or Lisdoonvarna on your way. There is a pub with food located just a few kilometers away. It was a very enjoyable stay with so much to do in the area. Just not enough time!

Relaxation in the country!

Nice Cottage in rural area! Loved the cows right at the back patio! The hot water took a minute to figure out would be nice if this info was included in the cottage info book! Beach was a bit further than expected but beautiful! Anne was very nice and responsive!! Wi-Fi should be included with cottage info as well, Delayed figuring out the hot water because we didn’t have service. Beautiful area, Irish music in Doolin Pubs was fantastic!

Unfortunately that is incorrect. The heating is controlled by the guests and they can have it on as long as they like. It is an oil fired burner which is easy to work. The cottage has a manual on the kitchen table with detailed guidelines on how everything works, however these guests did not understand any English and despite using Google translate I did feel at the time that they didn't understand. I meet all my guests on arrival and explain how everything works and refer to the manual but unfortunately there was a lack of understanding. My learning is to get my house manual translated into a few languages for ease of use. I am so sorry you didn't understand how to turn on the heat, I thought I had fully explained but it was lost in translation.

Fanore Cottage

The cottages of Fanore are a lovely traditional cottage located in a beautiful setting that will take your breath away. The cozy fireplace and the sea view from the master suite is absolutely stunning. It is located close to many amazing attractions both new and old from the cliffs of Moher the caves of Aillwee and the beautiful moonscape of the burren . I’d stay there again!

Charming country home!

Anne is a very attentive host. Very helpful with which sites to see in the area! Home is spacious in a beautiful rural setting. Which sits between the ocean and barren. Definitely would stay again. Only drawback that we did not realize is the extra charge of electric and fuel usage at the end of the stay which is understandable since it is such a large house.

Perfect. Amazing area, clean comfortable accommodations

We stayed in multiple areas of Ireland and this was by far our favorite. The views were amazing and the cottage was clean, comfortable, well appointed, and just perfect. There are not many houses in the area, it’s just natural and stunning. We took a trip to the Cliffs of Moher, but I think we all enjoyed exploring the beach, rocks and cliffs down the road just as much if not more. I will definitely be returning to Ireland and this will be my first choice for accommodations.
