Nice property

This is a great location. It's close to downtown (15 minute walk) and close to the highway, so everything you want to do is convenient. Michael is a very responsive and knowledgeable host. The unit is comfortable and has a nice feel to it.

great location

this is a thoughtfully laid-out efficiency apartment in an excellent location that provides walkability to many places in Asheville, including the downtown. If not for hurricane Helene and the subsequent loss of water service, I'm sure I would have enjoyed the latter part of my planned stay as much as I did the first four weeks of it.

Perfect base camp to explore Asheville

This quiet, well-laid out apartment is located in the beautiful tree-shaded Montford district, a short walk from a handful of excellent restaurants and conveniently close to stores like Trader Joe’s and Whole Foods. Downtown Asheville is a few minutes away by bicycle or a fifteen minute walk. Asheville is a very fun town to explore and getting around is easy. I hope to visit again soon and will certainly try to book the “Baird Nest” again.

Lovely Apt. Amazing location!

I loved my stay at Montford Ave. The apartment is very sweet! I stayed for3 weeks. I love how the apartment is laid out, makes a "studio" feel like a one bedroom. Cozy, clean, and the location is unbeatable. I could get to anything in 5-10 minutes. Trader Joes and Wholefoods, practically walkable, All Day Darling Cafe one block away for wonderful coffee/breakfast. Shakespeare in the park walkable. The kitchen is very substantial. Livingroom is spacious. It's really amazing how well laid out this apartment is. Loved the keyless access. shaded parking. Michael was very responsive to any needs I had.

Amazing!

I had a wonderful experience staying here. Michael was an incredible host. The apartment was so clean and beautiful. The view of Montford and the mountains was so beautiful. The location is incredible and I loved getting to know the area and my neighbors. Chiesa is a phenomenal restaurant and the owner Newton was so helpful and a great neighbor to have. Overall this place is a great place to stay fo a get away or for anyone who is wanting to get to know Montford and Asheville more. Enjoy!!! ❤️❤️❤️

Great Location

This property was perfect for my wife and I. The location is ideal. You can walk to downtown from here, walk around the beautiful Montford neighborhood, and you have easy access to both interstate highways (I-240 and I-26). The owner is helpful and easy to communicate with. The unit has everything you need.

Really nice place in a great section of Asheville

We really enjoyed staying at this apartment. It is well set up for a small place and very comfortable for my wife and I. The location is great as well - Montford is a beautiful section of Asheville with restored older homes. Loved walking around there. It is also an easy on-off to the highway. We took advantage of the restaurant (Chiesa) in the lower level. Food was excellent. The outdoor seating was helpful given the pandemic. There is dedicated parking for the apartment. We stayed for 4 weeks. We would highly recommend taking advantage of Michael’s hospitality. It was definitely worth it for us. We would stay there again!

Exceptional Stay

We loved this place. Here for a full month, it's very clean and well stocked. Owner easy to deal with. Fell in love with Chiesa restaurant downstairs and ate there repeatedly. They took great care of us. Have to fight with the restaurant patrons for your curbside parking but always got in the lot. Walk to downtown Asheville. Eat at Tod's Tasties repeatedly. Great locations to get everywhere. Highly recommended.

Great experience and location

I had the opportunity to spend 6 weeks here and my overall rating would be 5/5. The location is fantastic and I was able to bike, walk or run to grocery stores, restaurants and the downtown area. The studio itself is beautiful and comes with everything you would need for a weekend or even an extended stay. There are no washer/dryer machines (at the time of my stay) so be prepared to do laundry if staying for a longer duration. There is also dedicated parking for guests which was nice especially on weekends. The landlord/owner was friendly and non-intrusive and was able to remedy my only issue with the place (loud music from the restaurant below).

Quiet & beautiful home away from home.

I had a lovely stay in June. The apartment is beautifully renovated & the space was perfect. I was hesitant at first to stay above an Italian restaurant, Chiesa (a MUST try!), but it was very quiet! The keyless entry was also very convenient. The "Baird's Nest" it tucked right in the heart of historical Montford. Great walkable neighborhood. Just a few minutes to Tod's Tasties right down Montford. Micheal was very accommodating and communicative. Would definitely stay here again!

fantastic stay in a perfect location

I stayed here for the month of May and hope to visit again in the near future! It was truly a fabulous apartment in a lovely location. I enjoyed walking around the beautiful (and safe!) neighborhood, eating at the restaurant downstairs, and feeling like a part of the community. The location really couldn't be better! It was a quick walk to downtown, there are several restaurants nearby, and the Shakespeare in the Park venue is just down the road. I was in town for a training at the Asheville Yoga Center and it was a 15 minute walk from the apartment. I passed by Trader Joe’s and Harris Teeter on the way, as well as an amazing coffee place (Liberty House Coffee and Café... get a latte!)- everything was close! The apartment itself was also really nice. The owner did a great job updating it- it is upscale yet also keeps the feel of an older building with a lot of history. The apartment was clean and even had my favorite Mrs. Murphy’s soap in it. There were even fresh flowers waiting for me! There were two big closets and several wicker organizers throughout, which allowed me to really unpack and feel at home. The fold out couch was great for visitors and the linens were abundant and comfortable. I loved opening the window in the living room and letting in the cool Asheville air and neighborhood sounds. I miss it already!! I will definitely make this a place I return to.

Well located new Condominium

I rented this studio for 7 months 2015/2016. Recently renovated building with 2 studios on the Second Floor and an Italian restaurant not the first level. It is very comfortable, well appointed and designed. Kitchen is well supplied. Futon in living area is quite comfortable and bed is of high quality. It is walking distance to downtown Asheville and the visitors center. 5 minute drive from Botanical Center, walking distance to grocery stores, coffee shop close. Overall great location and great apartment.
