PROPERTY HIGHLIGHTS: We now have air conditioning!
We've prepared our home for your dream getaway, where everything is provided for you to enjoy your lake vacation. Our gorgeous 4+ acre home, is situated directly on beautiful Lake Champlain with direct access. Just select your vacation dates, and leave the rest to us. This little piece of heaven, has a private beach, captivating views of Lake Champlain & the Green Mountains! We've recently added a natural raised patio above our beach, that includes a picnic table, chairs, firepit, and a portable grill.
A few steps away, is our lovely, meticulously clean home. This 3 bedroom, 2 bath, ranch home, comes with all the comforts you could imagine.
Enjoy swimming, fishing, boating, kayaking, canoeing to name a few. Venture out for a hike or bike ride. Tee off at the local Alburgh Links Golf Course. Sip your coffee on the porch at sunrise. Bask in the sun & splash in the crystal clean waters on the private beach. Stroll along and enjoy the scenery of the back country roads and catch a firey evening sunset. After the rain, you may spot a rainbow, or two. The abundance of wildlife & pleasing flowers surround this sprawling, multi acre sanctuary. You'll be in awe of the spectacular views of the lake, mountains and gardens the moment you arrive at this oasis! Our Lake Champlain hideaway, is truly fabulous, winter, spring, summer or fall!
SPRING & SUMMER: days are longer, warmer and restful. This season is the highpoint of Vermont living.
AUTUMN: a remarkable time to observe the vibrant, colorful leaves changing, mirroring upon the lake. Such TREEmendous views!
The HOME: is charming, and comfortably decorated with oodles of amenities for a pleasant stay. Besides the breath-taking views seen from every window, the open concept layout lends itself to lake living.
KITCHEN /DINING ROOM:
The oversized kitchen is well appointed with quality kitchenware for the gourmet cook; equipped with stainless dishwasher, microwave, air fryer, fridge, range, oven warmer and an ice cream maker. The enormous kitchen island is more than adequate for food preparation and seating for informal meals. The seperate coffee bar, has an electric kettle, Kuerig K Cup coffee machine, including a 12 cup pot. The dining room comfortably seats 6.
FAMILY GATHERING AREAS:
The stylish living room, has 2 comfy oversized sofas. on chilly evenings, the gas fire place exudes a calm, romantic ambiance!
Enjoy coffee or wine as you sink into the Adirondack chairs on the back porch. The gentle breeze and warm sunshine melts your worries and lifts your spirits.
The enclosed 3 season porch, is quaint & cozy. Enjoy time reading, lake watching, or searching for Champ, the legendary Lake Champlain Sea Monster. The good news...it's been reported that Champ is a vegetarian!
Slip over to the family entertainment room. The huge window wall display mesmerizing lake & mountain views, too! This retreat is set up for family laughs, games, or snuggling together for a great flick. Choose Hulu, Netflix, Disney, YouTube TV, Amazon Prime, Roku and more. There's high speed internet for your devices.
BEDROOMS / BATHROOMS
The primary bedroom, has a comfortable queen size bed & a convenient private master bath, with a large shower. The 2nd bedroom, the "Lighthouse Room," has a queen bed. The 3rd bedroom contains 2 very comfy twin beds. The later 2 bedrooms, share a bathroom tub/shower fixture.
A washer/dryer is available, as well as a full size barbecue grill and a portable grill for the beach. There are board games, a pancake griddle, pizza stone, hiking books, and tourism brochures for nearby attractions . There's also restaurant menues and many other personal touches are available for your delight.
PRIVATE BEACH:
Take a few steps from the porch for a refreshing dip in the lake.
If you fish, you'll enjoy casting your line in the best fisheries known in the nation, Lake Champlain, of course! Water sports are popular, too. You can bring your own craft, or contact the Hero's Welcome for rentals, 802 372 4161. They'll deliver boats to the home. If you'd prefer renting a motorized boat, call Campbell Bay rentals; 802 999 7157. The nearby Rt. 78 bridge is great for launching your personal boat. Hiking or biking along the quiet back roads, is quite pleasant.

Alburgh Springs Golf-Enjoy playing 18-hole course.
If you appreciate the Great Outdoors, the Missisquoi National Wildlife Refuge trails, is only a few minutes away on Rt 78.
If you're looking for adventure, take a drive across the border to Montreal, Canada. The historic area of Montreal, or "Old Montreal," offers rich culture & beautiful architecture. Montreal, is about an hour drive from the home. While you're in Canada, take advantage of the distinctive shops and excellent dinning. You'll need your passport. Plan ahead to map out your visit and arras of interest. Cell phone service may be limited, so check with your provider!
Burlington VT, is a popular city to visit. Church St. Marketplace, is a fantastic way to spend a day shopping, dinning or “People Watching." You'll definitely want to experience the charm & culture of this unique college Metropolitan. Take an evening stroll along Burlington's Streets.
Most times, there's live entertainment. Grab some ice cream from the famous Ben and Jerry's Legacy Store. If you like beer, there are some interesting micro-breweries to visit. A few blocks from the marketplace, is the Burlington Waterfront Park. You'll find gorgeous views of Lake Champlain! Photo enthusiasts-this is the place to snap spectacular pictures of the sun setting over the water & mountains. On certain days, the park offers food, events, and music festivals. The Burlington Bike Path stretches along the park's edge.
The ECHO Lake Aquarium and Science Center, is both educational and fun for the kids and all ages. Next to the aquarium, is Vermont's largest floating restaurant and cruise ship, the "Spirit of Ethan Allen." Enjoy a great meal on the scenic cruise and an informational history presentation.
There are so many wonderful shops and restaurants along the Waterfront, too. Take the 45 minute drive to Burlington, it is worth it!Throughout the area, there's other interesting attractions to see as well; the Vermont Teddy Bear Company in Shelburne VT. While you're in the vicinity, take the family to the Historic Shelburne Farm to see the live animal farm, and cheese and bread making, too! Also, check out the Shelburne Museum for the rich history of the area.
The famous Ben and Jerry's Ice Cream factory, is located in Waterbury, VT.
Plan to map a route to see Vermont's historic covered bridges. The back roads are so scenic and delightful.
The NY State side of Lake Champlain, is only a few minutes from the house. As you travel across U.S. Rt. 2, across the Rouse's Point Bridge, look for the historical landmark - Fort Montgomery. This landmark is the sight of a fierce Revolutionary War battle fought for control of the Hudson River. Entering into Rouses Point, you will find a quaint little village, with a few shops; a trendy Lakeside Coffee Shop, a liquor store, boat rentals, local restaurants: Best Friends Family Restaurant, Frenchheez, Sandy's Deli, Casa Capitano, & Angelo's.
Further out off of Rt 87 is Plattsburgh, NY. Visit the Champlain Centre North Mall & area restaurants. Treat the family to a Ferry ride. The NY ferry connects to Grande Isle, VT. From VT, take scenic route US-2, through Vermont's Champlain Islands to the Ferry.
Some of the best attractions are located in the town of Alburgh, & throughout the Champlain Island vicinity. The area has much to offer: Alburgh Dunes State Park and sand beach, Burton Island State Park, Knight Island State Park & Grand Isle State Park. Many of the parks offer entertainment & other attractions. The “Islander," newspaper, provides dates & times of events throughout the islands. No worries,we've picked up a copy for you, along with many brochures for great nearby attractions.
Lake Champlain lighthouses, are historic landmarks: Isle La Motte Light House, Windmill Point Light House & the Burlington Breakwater North Lighthouse.
If you like mountain hiking, Vermont has 2 major hiking trails along the Green Mountains. You’ll find brochures and book of hiking trails, at the house, too,along with a few hiking poles. Again, there's the Missisquoi Wildlife Refuge trails, too.
St. Anne's Shrine, is a historical site where the French erected a Fort and Chapel on Isle La Motte. Saturday & Sunday services are held at the open church. Look for the majestic sunset there before you leave!
Grab lawn chairs, kick back & listen to the local bands play music on Thursday evenings, at the South Hero Snow Farm Vineyard. No entrance fee required. The vineyard shop has great wine available, and a beer wagon, as you listen to the band.
There are plenty of local restaurants in the Islands that serve delicious meals: North Hero; Shore Acres Inn & Restaurant, and the North Hero House. In South Hero; Blue Paddle Bistro. In Isle of LaMotte, Ruthcliff Lodge.
Local creemees, AKA Ice cream treats, are best at Devyn's, a few miles from the house on RT. 78!

This property was purchased for the enjoyment and use of the Lake! We appreciate and enjoy the community around the lake, also known as the Champlain Islands. We love our private beach, collecting sea glass, jet skiing, fishing, swimming, biking and kayaking. We like taking day trips to the local state game reserves, hiking at Mount Mansfield, visiting the farmers' markets and trips to Canada. What makes this property unique
There are many benefits to this property...Location is a priority for our visitors. The home is in a quiet rural area, yet not far from popular attractions, functions and activities. We are close to the mountains, covered bridges, wineries, farms, big cities, unique museums and friendly people. Of course there are awesome bike routes for our biking friends. Additionally, there are quiet back roads, with little traffic, ideal for photographers, bird watchers, and outdoor lovers!
