Corazón de Cortez is located in the exclusive community of Costa Diamante, on Sandy Beach. The community offers a pool, hot tub, 24-hour security, direct private beach access, spectacular views, and unparalleled tranquility.
The home is updated and beautifully furnished. Dramatic boveda ceilings and amenities throughout will provide you with endless comfort. Corazón de Cortez (with the add-on optional casita with an additional fee) is for 12 people MAX. It comfortably sleeps all guests in beds (unlike other rentals that depend on pull-out sofas and cots to meet guest numbers).
Bedrooms #1 and #2 are two equally wonderful primary suites with king-sized beds and private bathrooms.
Bedrooms #3 and #4 are connected, share a bathroom, and are separated by only a privacy curtain. Bedroon #3 is a "bunk room" with a queen bed, twin bed, and two upper twin bunks. Bedroon #4, the "round room," is a sweet circular room with a comfy queen sized bed.
The Casita (bedroom #5) is INCLUDED in the calculated cost of any rental for 10 people or more. It is essential that your guest count when booking is accurate. Above nine (9) people, there is an additional $50 per person, per night fee, but the rental will then include the casita extra bedroom. The casita is an additional suite with a king bed and private bath attached to the main house with a separate entrance. It is very quiet and private.
If your group is smaller than 10 people, you can add the extra bedroom for $100 per night. For example, multiple adults with children will often rent the Casita so that each adult / couple will have an equally wonderful suite. While there are plenty of beds for 10 people in the house, even 5 individual adults have rented the castia so each person has a private room...no need to draw straws! To include the Casita with a group smaller than 10 people, just let us know and we will send you an additioanl payment request for the extra bedroom at $100 per night.
Unlike other private home developments, Sandy Beach offers easy access to amenities such as restaurants, bars, beach activities (banana boats, jet skis, etc) within walking distance or an easy drive. Do not underestimate the value of being close to “town” while still enjoying the peace and solitude of a quiet, safe, gated neighborhood.
Costa Diamante is suggested for families, adult getaways, and quiet group celebrations. A well-trained pet is even welcome on a case by case basis! This property is NOT recommended for young spring break crowds, loud parties, smokers, or groups larger than 12 people (any age, NO exceptions). No guests / friends may enter the neighborhood. No laundry facilities or garage spaces are provided. No trailers are allowed in the neighborhood. The HOA rules are strict and renters agree to abide by all HOA regulations as well as local laws. No illegal behavior or breaking of HOA rules will be tolerated and will end your stay with NO refund.
If you are looking for a loud party atmosphere, this home is NOT for you. If you are looking for a family friendly, quiet neighborhood as close to the beach as you can get - then you have found your home!
Please note that the 12 person is a MAXIMUM occupancy for all ages (including infants). There are no exceptions and only names on a list provided to the HOA will be given access to the gated community. Renters may not have outside guests to the house. Guest count must be accurate to determine final rental cost.
Renters may not split Friday and Saturday night stays, unless approved by owners. 3 night stay minimum.

We purchased this home and renovated it to enjoy with our families. As co-owners, we are dedicated to providing our guests with a peaceful and relaxing stay. We take pride in providing great communication and service - as well as some of the best amenities offered. We find that our renters treat this home as if it's their own, which has allowed us to maintain high quality supplies and finishes. We LOVE this property and hope you will enjoy it as much as we do, and help us take care of it with pride.
Why they chose this property
This is a very special property. We love the Costa Diamante neighborhood for it's great security, helpful staff, and friendly neighbors. We love the private beach, fantastic views, and direct access to the sand on a lighted path. We used to rent in the Las Conchas area, but we much prefer the convenience of Sandy Beach while still benefiting from a large private home. The roads are all paved and the utility lines are underground - making the whole area beautiful. This property is perfect for families, adult vacationers, and people looking for a quiet, relaxing stay. We will be honest and let you know that this property is not suggested for young "spring breakers," groups larger than 12, smokers, or groups looking to "party" on the beach or in the home. The rules here are strict and will be enforced, so if you are looking for loud fun, late nights, or bigger groups, the resorts would be a much better match for you. This home is perfect for families and smaller groups (and even a pet, with permission!) looking for value luxury.
What makes this property unique
We looked at many condos and homes on Sandy Beach, but as soon as we saw this house, we fell in love with it! The high dramatic brick "boveda" ceilings, unmatched views, and convenience to everything sold us on this property. We can take sunset walks to many different restaurants or just hop next door for cocktails at Colins. We take advantage of the close proximity to the Sandy Beach resorts for jet skiing, banana boats and more! The house needed a lot of work when we purchased is - but now it is updated, freshly painted, and furnished beautifully. Why pay $20/ hour or $65-$75 / day for a kayak or SUP!? We provide you with two of each for FREE! We stock many amenities others do not - from oils and spices to fun beach supplies. We look forward to sharing it all with you!
