In the heart of Rome, in the famous Via del Governo Vecchio you will find this lovely apartment, located on the third floor (with no elevator) in a 18th century building.

The apartment is situated in Via del Governo Vecchio, just off Piazza Navona in the historical center.

The apartment can easily hosts up to 6 people. It is composed of a fully equipped kitchen, a dining room with table, chairs and TV, two bright bedrooms, a small and cosy relaxing studio with a sofa bed and a desk, ideal if you need to work during your stay in the eternal city, or if you love writing and reading.

The apartment has 1 bathroom with bath/shower and an outside toilet just like in the old days, with a W.C. and a small sink.

From the kitchen you can walk outside to a romantic little private terrace where to enjoy a morning breakfast or taste a lovely bottle of wine in the evening.

Fantastic stay for two nights

Great apartment for our family of five for a couple of nights in Rome. Super clean, lots of space, good kitchen and very good check in process with the managing company. Would definitely recommend!

Awesome location, spacious

Great apartment, and convenient access to walk to all major attractions. It is located on a busy street with commercial (restaurant, shops, grocery store), so it is kind of loud later into the evening. There is ample space, and nice to have a kitchen. The beds are not that comfortable, and with the noise its hard to get a good nights sleep. Overall, for the space and location, we would recommend.

This location was incredible. The layout worked great for our group of 5, but could have accommodated more in needed. The outdoor bathroom really came in handy too! The water pressure and temperature were great. The views of the area were great. The proximity to area sights like the Vatican, Trevi Fountain, Pantheon, Piazza Navona. Even walkable to Colosseum and Roman Forum. Plenty of food options, grocery story, and gelato, and coffee shops. Amazing stay!

Perfect Location, Beautiful Apartment – We’ll Be Back!

We had an absolutely amazing experience staying here. The listing is detailed and accurate, but even that doesn’t quite capture how exceptional this place truly is. The apartment is located on a gorgeous cobblestone street, right in the heart of Rome, charming, lively, and just steps away from major attractions, great restaurants, a cozy coffee shop, and a small convenience store. There’s also a larger supermarket just around the corner, which was super handy.We honestly couldn’t believe we found this hidden gem in such a prime location. The only minor drawbacks were the lack of basic pantry staples (like salt or sugar) and no paper towels, which might just be a US vs. Europe difference. Also, be prepared for the walk-up, there are over 60 steps, so it could be challenging for those with small kids, lots of luggage, or mobility issues.That said, we were absolutely thrilled with our stay and would return in a heartbeat next time we’re in Rome.Valerio the property manager/rep was incredibly helpful during the check in process and with overall communication.

Great location but it needs some improvements!

Great location and service! The property manager was excelente. But be aware that the mattresses are old, no sofa, no wine glasses and it’s on the last floor without elevator.

Diamond in the rough

The Apartment was in a great location and within walking distance to many historical sites. We truly enjoyed our short stay here but felt the beds were really hard, no extra linens or pillows were available, and although the necessary essential's were provided like towels and toilet paper, it lacked other items like a dish towel/paper towels, broom and trash bags for recycling, and please note this is a 5 story walk-up if traveling with kids or elderly relatives.

Amazing location and spotlessly clean

This apartment could not be in a better location. Charming little street that can be a little noisy at night but what place in Rome isn’t? The apartment was immaculately clean and spacious. I would just recommend reading the reviews about the stairs for guests that have mobility issues, but we were well informed in advance. Highly recommend!!

Good accommodations in a convenient location, just a bit loud

The apartment was spacious in a very convenient location. It was really nice to have a washer so we could pack fewer clothes. The owners were very helpful with not only the apartment, but with recommendations of what to do in the area. We could easily walk to St. Peter's and the Colosseum from the apartment. The only challenges were having enough electricity to charge our phones and it was very loud at night from all the restaurants nearby.

Great location; questionable cleaning & uncomfortable beds

We loved the location of this flat, we loved the beautiful tile, and we loved the light. The size was generous, and it was nice to have a secure place to dry our laundry. The cleaning was questionable, particularly the floors. The beds are very thin mattresses and all 3 room occupants agreed they were very uncomfortable. Communication with the property company was easy, and they were particularly helpful finding luggage solutions for an earlier checkout than travel.

Everything you want in the heart of Rome

We spent 4 great nights in the heart of Rome and loved every bit of it. With our 4 kids (all under 7) we easily walked to all the major attractions and couldn’t have been happier. The flat was more than big enough for us, centrally located and cleaned. It met all our needs and more and I would highly recommend to anyone looking to be in the heart of Rome: (walked to Vatican City, Pantheon, Trivi Fountain, St Angelo Castle and more) the best part was that you truly experience the Roman way of life by being here. Lots of restaurants and friendly people at every turn in this neighborhood. The check in process was excellent and our driver (additional fee but worth it) was great. I highly look forward spending time again at the flat and being in Rome.

Great location - perfect for a family

This apartment was perfect for my family of 4. We were traveling with 2 college aged kids (one girl, one boy) so we needed separate beds for the “kids”. This place delivered with its 3 rooms. We could have easily slept 2 more. The location was ideal, next to many restaurants and the BEST gelato, Frigidarium. The A/C worked perfect. We did laundry in the washer. Note: there is no dryer which was not a problem because we hung the laundry on the line to dry :) I would mention that there are 57 steps up to the apartment and no lift. Very common in Italy. But keep that in mind when you have to lug your suitcases up the stairs. The check in process was seamless as well as check out. I could not have asked for a better place to stay while in Rome.

Roma!

The apartment was GREAT and 110% lived up to our expectations...especially the location! Great sight seeing, restaurants & nightlife at walking distance...really made you feel like you were living the Italian lifestyle! Also, AC worked as well as it could have but in July, it was still hot as far as sleeping- down comforter with duvet was too much. Pier was great to communicate with via text (he speaks great English!) and he let us drop our bags around 1:30 pm b4 the apartment had even been cleaned yet (hence how we realized duvets were the same). Overall however, I would highly recommend this location and the Art Apartment! Only negatives were it was not as clean as I would have hoped...floors perhaps had been broom swept but definitely not mopped from previous occupants & the duvets had not been changed though sheets had.

Location was great. Property needs updating especially windows. All the noise from street can be heard. Internet was not working until halfway through our stay. 3 flights of stairs were narrow and steep. No one available to help. Shops and restaurants nearby and easily accessed. Chose this place because we were 6 and it had 3 rooms but would choose another place in the future.

Pros and Cons Pros:1 BEST location. You can walk everywhere and I am in my mid 70’s. It is located halfway between the Vatican and the Colosseum. So a short walk to either. You are right in the neighborhood of the Piazza Navona which is absolutely beautiful. We were able to walk to the Trevi Fountain, the Roman Forum, the Pantheon, the Spanish Steps, the Sistine Chapelle and St Peter’s at the Vatican. Very doable in 2 days time. 2. Atmosphere: it is located on a narrow cobble stone street filled with outdoor eateries and a grocery store just a stone’s throw away. So many great quaint restaurants…literally just a few doors away in either direction. 3. The rental company: excellent! They are very reliable and great with communication. I was very nervous, hoping everything would go smoothly and it absolutely was perfect. We were even able to check in early. We were given entry info the day before arriving, and a representative met us at the door and answered all of our questions. 3. Cleanliness and space: The place was spotless and had plenty of room for the 5 of us. Towels were stacked on each bed, with small soaps, and the hair dryer was great! A full size refrigerator and a spacious kitchen, a good washing machine and dishwasher!Cons. 1. The stairs. The place is located on the 4 th floor, so lots of stairs to climb 2. The main bathroom needs some updating, but ok.I would highly recommend this place as long as you can climb stairs! It’s worth the climb!

This apartment was a magnificent location for everything our family did in Rome—plenty of space for us, friendly hosts/communication. Our only challenge was mostly on me-required a lot of last minute communication which was difficult while we were traveling.

Great spot in Rome.

Lovely location in the heart of Rome. Easy to navigate just about anywhere. Communication was great. The outdoor seating area was one of the things that sold us on this property and it was treat to have. Thanks for a great stay!
