Wonderful loft located in the Palazzo Altieri, one of the most beautiful buildings of the Roman nobility, built in 1554 by the architect Giovanni Antonio de Rossi, author of the Palazzo Bonaparte. The apartment is located on the 3rd floor and enjoys a fantastic view over the roofs of Rome and the dome of the Pantheon. The apartment is on two levels . On the first one there is a large living room with a sofa convertible to a double bed and a dining area, a fully equipped kitchen, a walk-in closet, a bathroom with shower. On the second floor there is an double bed area and a single sofa bed area. It is a fully equipped apartment with air conditioning, dishwasher, TV, hi-fi. Classical furnishing, upholstery and fittings, high wooden ceilings and wooden floors complete this elegant apartment built in a historic building and artistic heart of Rome.

Centrally located making major attractions easily accessible for our family including two small children. Our only issue was the air conditioning that appeared to go out the last evening of our stay. Otherwise, we would stay at this location again.

We were a family of four traveling to Rome for the first time. The location of the flat could not have been better. It was 10 minutes to every major tourist destination. It was a safe area with lots of restaurants and shops. They arranged transfers from the airport and to the cruise terminal for us which was extremely helpful. The only issue is that the language is confusing about the cleaning fees and the city tax not being included in the payment and so we needed to have extra cash to pay that upon check in. Ultimately I didn't mind paying it because in Europe you don't need to do any cleaning before you check out like you do here in the US. You just had to leave the key and that was it. I would definitely stay here again.

The management company went out of their way to meet me early on my check-in day and also were very responsive. I was grateful for that. The space is beautiful with a blend of modern updated amenities in original architecture. The building is fascinating. Location is central and an easy walk to most of the tourist destinations we wanted to visit. I would love to rent this space in the fall, spring, or winter and feel that it would be very enjoyable. Summer is hot! The air conditioning systems is confusing and does not cool the space. We were pretty hot for most of our stay.There are a lot of signs in the space with a lot of rules. I can't imagine how hard it must be to manage a tourist-based rental so I know the rules must be based on past bad experiences, but it made relaxation in the space difficult. We were very concerned we would accidently violate one of the rules.

When you booked this property, you were aware—or should have been after reading the listing—that it is an attic loft. By definition, a loft is an open-plan top-floor apartment, and attic spaces are naturally warmer in summer because they are directly beneath the roof, where heat accumulates. The apartment is equipped with air conditioning, and clear, step-by-step operating instructions are provided in the Welcome Book inside the apartment to help guests use the system correctly. As for the notices displayed in the apartment, they are simply friendly reminders of basic courtesy and good practices. After more than 10 years of hosting, we have found that these reminders are sometimes necessary, as not all guests treat holiday homes with the same care and respect. They are not intended to make anyone feel uncomfortable, but only to help preserve the apartment and ensure a pleasant stay for everyone.

The location of the apartment is stellar and it is very clean. The beds are a little firm for my liking, the stars are a bit steep and getting the apartment to cool down with the aged AC units was difficult. Overall decent stay.

As a group of three this was a good fit. The host who checked us in was great and provided useful information. The location just can't be beat for getting to all the sites in the heart of Rome. We found it useful to wear ear plugs at night to cancel our the street sounds including the sirens from the nearby police station.
