CARNASCIALE Pieve- Bouganvil

THE TINY VILLAGE NAMED ' CARNASCIALE ' (english pronunciation CARNASHALER) dates back to the nineteenth century.
It is a typical country house in the Tuscan tradition with a tiled roof and half timbered bricks.

Today the hamlet is made up of:
a) The main and adjacent buildings, cleverly
restored contain the owner’s home plus
four comfortable apartments each with its
own kitchen and bathroom facilities.
b) The swimming pool, 80 square meters in
area, 1.40 to 3.00 meters deep with a diving board, on
one side of the large garden.
The pool has been renewed before Summer 2017.
c) 25 acres , some woodland and some
farmed (olive trees and vineyards).

APARTMENTS/HOUSES

The “ Il Carnasciale” property is composed by 4 houses, one of which is called “BOUGAINVILLE”.

- ‘Bouganville’ (Homeaway nr.8429682): an independent
flat on the first floor of the villa with its own large
terrace and a shaded balcony overlooking the
swimming pool, garden and surrounding hills.

- ‘Stalla’ (nr.Homeaway 1665075), converted stable, with
a view of the forest, surrounded by a private garden
equipped with a properly built barbeque
and a large covered terrace in front of the
main sitting room.

- ‘Fienile’ or Hayloft (Homeaway nr.8429689); a
remodelled hayloft near the villa offers a shady gazebo
ideal for all meals. There is a second gazebo near the
swimming pool, ideal for resting in the
shade, for reading and relaxing.

- ‘Taverna’(Homeaway nr.8962456) : the smallest
apartment, with its own porch and terrace over looking
the forest is ideal for a romantic couple,
honeymooners or a couple with a small child.

Matteo was such a friendly and helpful host. We stayed in the bougainvillea flat with breathtaking view over the pool and valley. We shared the pool w 2 other families which worked really well. Lots of sunloungers and the grounds are very well kept. No road noise. It exceeded our expectations. The salt pool is perfect temperature and so nice to not have chlorine. Everything was v clean. Great location for exploring Pisa, Florence, lucca and cinque terre. Definitely recommend it.

sonnige Auszeit, toskanischer Charme

Schöne, alte Villa - Ausstattung teils etwas veraltet, dafür mit ganz viel Charme und sympathischer Unterstützung durch die Vermieter (danke an Roberto und Matteo). Großzügiger Garten mit einem großen, warmen Pool und vielen Liegen an Sonnen- und Schattenplätzen. Ganz viel Idylle (leider mit einigen Mücken und abendlicher Musik von irgendwoher) unweit von den Highlights der nordwestlichen Toskana wie Pisa, Lucca und Carrara. Zu empfehlen sind auch Ausflüge in die apuanischen Alpen. Alles in allem ein toskanischer Traum!

Mooi appartement in rustige buurt

Het appartement is ruim, het beslaat de hele verdieping van een oud landhuis. Het is netjes ingericht met een bonte verzameling aan meubels en veel vrolijke schilderijen aan de muren. De inrichting en meubels zijn deels gedateerd, vooral de bank was niet zo best. Maar de bedden waren prima, de keukenapparatuur deed het allemaal en de douche was fijn. Het huis heeft een ruime tuin en een prachtig zwembad.

Relaxing time in Tuscany

We enjoyed the remote location, the silence and the decreasing temperature over night. The apartment was typical Tuscan style, but a bit simple. The communication with Diego and Matteo was absolutely perfect and Matteo was always available in case of any questions. Thanks again guys, we really had a great time!

Erholsame Tage in der Toskana

Kurzfristig über fewo-direkt.de gebucht, war die Unterkunft ein Glücksgriff. Die Kommunikation mit den Vermietern erfolgte per E-Mail auf Englisch. Die Antworten erfolgten stets sehr zügig. Auf dem Grundstück sind mehrere Ferienwohnungen. Wir waren in der Ferienwohnung Bougainvillae untergebracht. Eine typische toskanische Unterkunft. Das Haus ist recht alt und liebevoll restauriert. Alles haben wir sehr sauber vorgefunden. Die Wohnung ist recht dunkel, was durch die dunklen Böden und Decken nicht verbessert wird. Durch ausreichend Beleuchtung wirkt die Wohnung aber sehr gemütlich. Eine Klimaanlage ist nicht vorhanden. War aber auch nicht notwendig. Die Wände sind sehr dick und lassen die Wärme lange draußen. Tagsüber haben wir auf der Sonnenseite die Fensterläden geschlossen, so dass die Kühle im Haus erhalten blieb. Nachts konnten wir die Fenster öffnen um frische kalte Luft reinzulassen. Alle Fenster sind mit Fliegengitter versehen. Die große Terasse lädt zum Verweilen ein. Insbesondere der große saubere Salzwasser-Pool hat bei unseren Kindern für Begeisterung gesorgt.

Wie im Paradies

Wir haben den Aufenthalt sehr genossen, unsere Wohnung mit der tollen Aussenterrasse und der Loggia waren sehr authentisch im landesüblichen Stil, der große Pool mit dem Sprungbrett war nicht nur für unsere Jungs klasse, auch wir Eltern haben die Abkühlung mit Aussendusche sehr zu schätzen gewusst! Der Blick von unserer Loggia war sehr schön, nur die letzten 1,3 km bei der Anfahrt erfolgt über relativ enge, aber wenig befahrene Straßen! Wir empfehlen die Wohnung dennoch uneingeschränkt weiter! Danke Roberto und Mattheo ….. 😊

Schöner Urlaub mit einigen Abstrichen

Toller sauberer Salzwasserpool (perfekt ohne künstliches Chlor) mit Sprungbrett (12x6m) und großer Garten mit vielen Liegen, Sonne und Schatten. Das Meer ist nah (15 Minuten mit dem Auto) und in das kleine Dorf pieve mit 2 Restaurants und kleinem Ladengeschäft kann man laufen. Die Vermieter sind sehr nett, und haben eigene Weinreben und natürlich Olivenbäume. Es wird italienisch, englisch und französisch gesprochen. Auch lucca und pisa sind nah. Allerdings gibt es sehr viele Moskitos, die auch tagsüber im Schatten stechen. Die Unterkünfte sind für Kinder unter 2 Jahren nicht empfehlenswert, da nicht kindersicher. Zudem sind sie eher spartanisch ausgestattet, was Küchenutensilien und Co betrifft. WLAN funktioniert kaum. Je nachdem, welche der 4 Einheiten man bewohnt, variieren Tageslicht, Temperatur und Geräuschpegel - unsere Wohnung konnte man bei 30 Grad Außentemperatur ok kühl halten, sie war allerdings recht dunkel und sehr hellhörig.

sehr ruhig

Eigentümer sehr zuvorkommend und hilfreich. Sehr gepflegter Aussenbereich beim Pool. Rustikales toskanisches Haus. Einrichtung ist in die Jahre gekommen. Möblierung, Küche, sanitäre Anlagen müssten erneuert werden. Ganz enge Strassen, die zur Anlage führen. Sehr ruhige Gegend. Wir mussten abends nach Viareggio, um etwas zu sehen. Für Leute, die die komplette Ruhe suchen ideal. Wir kamen am Samstag spät an und konnten am Sonntag im Dorf nichts einkaufen, da die 2 Geschäfte geschlossen waren. Es gab keine Bar im Dorf, wo wir hätten frühstücken können. In Camaiore hatte es dann offene Geschäfte. Sehr gutes Restaurant in ca. 800 m (c'era una volta, zu Fuss erreichbar). Viareggio Pisa, Florenz, Lucca sehr gut erreichbar. Auto unbedingt notwendig! Anlage grundsätzlich zu empfehlen.

Familienurlaub

Die Wohnung ist einfach eingerichtet, recht dunkel, hat jedoch alles was benötigt wird. Falls doch etwas fehlt, helfen die Vermieter gerne aus. Es gibt eine große zum größten Teil überdachte Terrasse. Der Pool ist groß, schwimmen ist gut möglich. Für die Kinder herrlich Die Anlage ist sehr gepflegt, die Aussicht fantastisch. Der nächstgelegene Strand ist ca. 20min entfernt. Fußläufig 7min gibt es 2 Restaurants. Wobei wir nur das cera una volte ausprobiert haben. Pizza und Nudeln sehr lecker. Taschenlampe für den Rückweg empfehlenswert. Insgesamt hatten wir einen sehr schönen und erholsamen Urlaub. Auch dank Diego und Roberto, die sehr nett und hilfsbereit waren.

Gute Lage, schöner Pool und sehr nette Gastgeber

Wir waren mit vierköpfiger Familie plus Hund zu Gast bei Roberto und Diego und haben unseren Aufenthalt sehr genossen. Das Anwesen bietet viel Platz, so dass man mit den Gästen der anderen beiden Ferienwohnungen Kontakt aufnehmen kann, aber nicht muss. Der ca. 13 * 7 m große Pool ist wirklich schön und war für die Kinder natürlich das Highlight. Unsere Wohnung war im Haupthaus der Eigentümer gelegen, mit separatem Eingang, sowie einer großen Loggia mit unverbautem Blick auf die Berge. Einen besseren Platz um draußen zu frühstücken kann man sich kaum vorstellen. Mit der Einrichtung haben wir zunächst etwas "gefremdelt". Dunkles Holz, Steinboden und Möbel aus dem letzten Drittel des vorigen Jahrhunderts ;-) aber eigentlich passt das Interieur sowohl zum Ambiente der alten Villa, als auch dem der ganzen Gegend. Wer Design und Luxus sucht, ist hier vielleicht nicht richtig aufgehoben. Sucht man eine landestypische, authentische Unterkunft mit liebevollen Details (viele Bilder, kleine Skulpturen, etc) und funktionaler Ausstattung, dann kann man sich hier nach kurzer Eingewöhnungszeit sehr wohl fühlen, vielleicht gerade weil nichts einer Wohnlandschaft aus dem IKEA-Katalog ähnelt. Die Lage ist super, ein Stück den Berg hinauf am Waldrand und weit genug weg von den Hauptverkehrswegen um nicht das Geringste davon zu hören. Nach Pisa fährt man 40 min, nach Lucca 25 min und zum öffentlichen Strand nach Viareggio ca. 15 bis 20 min. Im Dorf gibt es in fussläufiger Entfernung eine hervorragende Trattoria "La Pieve", eine Tischreservierung ist im Sommer bei gutem Wetter ratsam.

Il Carnasciale (English pronunciation CARNASHALER) is owned by two brothers who share responsibility for looking after the property.
Roberto lives on the site; he is a retired architect, having moved here from Rome, captivated by the beauty of the area. Diego lives in Gorgonzola (Milan), but especially in summer he moves here.
Our home is one of the apartments in the main building. We meet all the clients personally and we like to think this helps to create a friendly atmosphere.
It also makes it possible for us to quickly resolve any problems or difficulties.
Many of our guests return to us sometimes three or four times.
Here we lead an active life, eat healthy food, breath clean air, drink the pure water of our own well and the wine from our own vineyard.
To relax we enjoy books, art, swimming and walking.
We like living here because it is a peaceful place; but for those who want more animation such as dancing or meeting other people it is easy to reach Camaiore, Viareggio, Pietrasanta.
Those who love art, concerts, the theatre and architecture can choose between Pisa, Lucca, Pietra Santa and other nearby cities.

Roberto: Sometimes I used to feel rather lonely in this big farm.
Now I enjoy meeting people, exchanging opinions and sharing the healthy life here.
It is a pleasure to see guests who arrive tired and stressed, because of their busy lives, become happy and relaxed during their stay - even if they are sad to leave.

In our apartments we have hosted people from many countries.
It is lovely to see how first the children and teenagers make friends and play together, followed by their parents.

Here one can rediscover the pleasure of simple things and good company (with perhaps a glass of wine). When it is hot then it is enough to jump in the pool, or take an open air shower, or simply lie down in the shade of our olive trees.

Our apartments have been renovated respecting the local Tuscan traditions of wood, clay tiles and rendered bricks painted with time honoured colours.
The quiet, tranquil atmosphere is very relaxing; but it is easy to take some exercise or to visit many interesting places nearby including the seaside with its nice beaches. Il Carnasciale is truly a special place; it offers everything you need for a splendid holiday.
