About this property
Sea Song Cottage, beautiful Victorian cottage and garden
Sea Song is a thoughtfully refurbished, stylish and cosy two bedroom cottage, built in 1910, suitable for up to 5 people with a large private garden. Located on a quiet, pretty street in the historic town of Broadstairs, it's just an 8 min walk to the station, 15 mins to the sandy beach of Viking Bay and pubs and restaurants are also close by. A bright and calming space with room to relax, dine and enjoy, we wanted to create a home for others to make happy seaside memories!
Beautifully decorated, the open plan space has a lounge with a Skandi style sofa bed and dining room with a rustic table and seating for six. Leading onto the galley kitchen with Bosch oven, slimline touch ceramic hob, fridge freezer, washer/dryer and microwave. The bathroom is downstairs, with underfloor heating and access to a gravel patio and large garden and bike store. Upstairs are two double bedrooms, the master has a double bed, mirrored wardrobe, hair dryer, bedside storage and dressing table/desk. Bedroom two has a large set of bunks, an adult sized single bed, wardrobe, night lights and garden view. Warm and cosy, there is double glazing throughout and an electric stove and blankets in the lounge for those winter months curled up on the sofa. Fresh linens and towels are provided and for those with small children, there is a travel cot, bed guard, high chair, booster seat, black-out blind and kids kitchenware.
There is free parking on the road and the surrounding streets.
We are currently not living in Broadstairs, so unlikely to meet you in person, but feel free to email or text any queries you may have, always happy to help. Our property manager lives nearby however and is available to help as required and we will provide you with their number.

About the host
Hosted by Stella

I live in London so love to come to Broadstairs to escape with my young family. I love music, comedy and enjoy yoga. I'm very much a creative person and have worked in the TV and music industry for many years. I also love interiors and 20th century design, Sea Song Cottage has been a chance for me to build on this passion and I plan to bring fresh ideas to the space.
Why they chose this property
Beautiful Broadstairs, voted one of the best seaside towns in the UK, is famous for its sandy beaches, an ice-cream and a long walk, dinner in one of the many seafood restaurants, its connection with Charles Dickens and flanked by the thrills and spills of Margate and Ramsgate . It really is a great place for a family holiday or a romantic weekend escape.
With its lovely, quintessentially English seaside charm, St Peters Village is situated a short walk from the town centre and is a very quaint, quiet village with winding leafy streets leading to several local beaches such as Viking Bay, Joss Bay and Botany Bay all very close by, the perfect spot to take the kids for some beach fun and a picnic.
Just 78 miles from central London, you could leave work and be sipping a glass of wine in the garden in just an hour and half with high speed links direct from Kings Cross St Pancras, and other routes from London Victoria and Bromley South.
If you are driving, parking directly outside the cottage and on the surrounding streets is free.
The house is an end of terrace with a side gate access for those with bicycles or buggies. You may store your bikes in the shed provided at the bottom of the garden.
If you come by car but plan to leave it at the cottage and walk to the beach, there is a shopping trolley provided so you can wheel your stuff to and from the beach, so no need to carry anything heavy. There are also many shops and cafes along the way.
If you want to go further afield on foot, hop on the Loop bus which takes you all around Thanet.

What makes this property unique
The house is very sweet, and after we renovated it we thought it would make the perfect holiday home. It's a great size and offers enough space for a family to spread out and enjoy their stay. The immediate area is very pretty and although the street is quite narrow it feels like its from another time with friendly neighbours and the local cat Percy! Built over a hundred years ago it oozes seaside appeal with winding streets and quintessential English charm.
