This dog-friendly home is ideally located within steps of the Shell Beach Trail on the ocean side of California Highway 1, allowing guests easy access to Shell Beach, tide pools, and the picnic and play areas at One-Eyed Jack Park. It's also just three miles south of the Sea Ranch Golf Links and five miles from the restaurants and shops of downtown Gualala. Whether you're planning a multi-family getaway or a holiday vacation with your kids, you'll love this home's quiet cul-de-sac location and its unobstructed ocean and meadow views.

The heart of this property is the great room, a wonderfully open space with cathedral ceilings, exposed wood paneling, and a wood-burning fireplace made of beautiful stone. It's the perfect place to curl up with a book, complete a puzzle with your children, or watch for passing whales on the distant horizon. Pick up some fresh local produce at the Surf Market in Gualala, and prepare homemade meals in the open gourmet kitchen. You'll have granite countertops, a six-burner gas range, and double ovens to assist you, as well as a dishwasher to take care of the clean-up. Gather your kids after dinner in the family room, which has a plush sectional sofa, a satellite cable TV and DVD player, a Bose sound dock, and an impressive selection of books, games, and toys for all ages. Sip your morning coffee on the lovely ocean view deck, in the private verdant garden, or as you stroll down to Shell Beach to watch the playful harbor seals. As many as two family dogs are welcome to keep you company.

With four bedrooms and three full bathrooms, Cadwalader can comfortably accommodate as many as eight guests. The two downstairs bedrooms, one of which has a king-size bed and the other a queen, enjoy sweeping ocean views, while the upstairs bedroom has a king-size bed as well. There's also a loft space with a queen bed and a twin futon. This home also offers a unique and private outdoor shower.

Swimming pools and tennis courts are also available at the Sea Ranch Del Mar, Ohlson, and Moonraker Recreation Centers. Whether you're a beachcomber, a hiker, or a wildlife enthusiast, this Sea Ranch home is perfectly located for guests of all interests. Take a scenic walk along the Bluff Trail to reach Gualala Point Regional Park three miles north, or head five miles south to visit the Sea Ranch Lodge. You'll also be only 23 miles from the gorgeous Point Arena Lighthouse and Museum, and 54 miles from the artists' colony of Mendocino - both of which are accessed by a particularly stunning stretch of Highway 1.

Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.
