We arrived on Friday and the home was not set up as advertised. No BBQs, patio furniture, chairs, awnings. Nothing. It took an entire day for the host to communicate, then sent out workers and cleaning people on Saturday to “fix” their mistake. They spent 4-6 hours at the property not allowing us out on the deck because they had to hang an awning. We told them, don’t worry about it, perhaps do it when we leave but they were determined to set it up and wouldn’t let us out of the house. So we were all stuck in the house for hours while they pulled out chairs, patio furniture, and set up BBQs etc. it was a waste of time. The host accused us of over water usage which is a false accusation, and was likely due to their workers who spent most of their time using it.

Nicolette, as described on the listing, the patio furniture is not set up until spring is over and the weather allows it. Due to the recent weather, we had not set up the furniture. Therefore it is not factual to say the house was not set up as advertised. As you can see below on the pictures, you have contacted me on the 16th at 11:58 PM about the patio furniture. I have received your message the following morning of the 17th and early afternoon, my crew was dispatched to set up the furniture for you, even though it was a weekend, solely to please you. You were not locked in the house. The house and garden can be accessed from the front door, the kitchen door and the garden door. So, even if the kitchen door was blocked for less than 1 hour to set up the canopy, the two other doors were usable and you were able at all times to come in and out of the house. Finally your children played a water balloon fight in the yard, which is great but, you did not care to check if they turned off the hose. Because it was not turned off, as you can see in the picture, starting on Sunday not when my crew was there, the water consumption was 290 gallons per hour until we received an alert notification from the utility company on Wednesday. Furthermore, you have left plastic from the broken balloon everywhere in the yard. My cleaning crew has to spend a few extra hours picking up plastics everywhere. I am all in favor of doing everything possible to please my guests, even going so far as to pay extra for long chairs and a BBQ to be delivered on a Saturday afternoon. However, I will not accept lies and lack of ownership of undeniable responsabilities from my guests. Regards, Laure
Great house with an awesome setup for multiple families or friends. We rented it as a 5-bedroom with the main house having three rooms, and the two seperate units as the other bedrooms. This worked out great for our group but just be aware of that setup if you have young kids and would be uncomfortable with them being in a separate unit where you have to walk outside to get to. The yard being fenced is perfect for a dog and a rare find in Tahoe. Just a few minute drive to Tahoe city, and close to Palisades. Would highly recommend this place and would definitely stay here again!
Great location. Loved having “private” spaces for each couple to retreat to if needed - the house is well built for togetherness and alone time when needed.
The place is perfect for a family to relax and enjoy time away from the hustle. The private beach access is an excellent perk. The home is clean and even nicer than the pictures.
The location is close to Tahoe City and includes private beach access. Additionally, the house has amenities that kept everyone involved and enjoying being together. It really was a great family connect location.
We enjoyed our stay and Laure was very helpful before and during the stay. Kitchen was well stocked for cooking, however knives very very dull and we always felt short on towels.

Staci, we are happy to hear you appreciate your stay.
Regarding the knife, we have 12 Laguiole knives for the table and more than 10 cutting knives of all lengths to chop/cook with in the drawers.
We provide one large shower towel, one hand towel, and one square towel, as well as one beach/spa towel per person. You also have one washer with detergent and two dryers, in case you need to do a wash.
The house was well cared for and well equipped The location is wonderful and being able to use the private beach area at Sunnyside made it so convenient to go the the lake. The back yard is well laid out and has fun games for the family. Laure was very responsive to my questions and had the property manager over quickly to tweak a small issue. It’s a great house for your time in Tahoe
Our party of 10 had an amazing stay at this property over the July 4th week! The house has plenty of space and was stocked for entertainment for all ages. The house was clean and comfortable and the private beach access made this whole week all that much better! Already talking about when we can make another trip back!
Location is good to both Northstar and Palisades. House is clean and good for families. Hot tub is well maintained. Overall we had a really good time. Pro tip: the road the house is on is a loop starting and ending on 89. If you drive away from Tahoe City the entrance to 89 has much better visibility making it much easier to enter 89 in both directions.
Check-in was simple and convenient. The place had three nicely setup rooms and enough space to battery comfortably in the living room. Kitchen was pretty well equipped.
Great spot for the whole family - steps to the Lake
The house (we used all 5 bedrooms) was a great spot for a family reunion. House was clean and comfortable, and the outdoor space with the hot tub and lawn games was a lot of fun for the whole family. Access to the lake and community space a short walk away was a plus. We'd come back again!
Oh, my goodness. We truly enjoyed our stay at the beginning of June. We had a big group but it never felt that way at this property. We loved how everything was set up.
Great location. Excellent restaurants and a short walk to Lake Tahoe. Met up with friends prior to running the Rubicon Jeep Trail. House was clean and in good condition. Almost everything is in walking distance. Great weekend!
The vacation was a huge success in large part to the property we rented. It was perfect. The weather was hot but because of the access to the private beach it did not matter. We had 11 people staying and the house handled the group easily. I highly recommend this property.

Forest, mountain, or beach? Boating, skiing, hiking or biking? No more difficult choices; Tahoe fulfills all. Our family is quite active, and in Tahoe, there is always something to do: hike, a new beach to relax at, a new concert in town, and a unique sunset to photograph.
Why they chose this property
Our house is ideally located, so close to town but far enough to be quiet, within walking distance, and with filtered lake views. It has private beach access within walking distance of the forest and the Tahoe meadow. Our house is also seven minutes from Homewood, where you can park and ski without traffic jams and crazy parking nightmares. It is fifteen minutes from beautiful Emerald Bay and its turquoise water. Our house has four master bedrooms plus one bedroom; it is a perfect layout to accommodate everyone: Families with little kids waking up early in the AM. Teenagers who want to sleep in. Grand-parents who want a quiet nap after lunch. The big plus for us is the large, fenced garden, as we have a giant dog and plenty of children visiting.
