We stayed at property for 3 nights and we all had fun staying there. Kids enjoyed their stay and so did we. Very close to proximity of major attractions of mammoth, checking in and out was convenient. Customer support was reachable even during holidays.

Thanks so much for staying with Mammoth Five Star Lodging! We hope you will think of us again for your next visit!
We really enjoyed our stay. There was plenty of room and the beds were very comfortable.
We would have preferred a more stocked kitchen. Cooking for a large group was very challenging with the available items. But we made do.
Thank you!

We’ve been to Mammont many times. Most of our stays were at Chamonix complex apartments. This place is near Canyon Lodge. You don’t need to drive, just walk. In winter that super convenient. I summer, you must stay outside more than inside. Mammoth is beautiful!
WiFi is horrible along with no cell service. Must be fixed!

We are so sorry you were inconvenienced during your stay! We always strive to make every guest stay as perfect as possible, inspecting every property twice between every departure/arrival. Our staff are human of course, and so even if we hit 95%, that still leaves some issues from time to time for guests to contend with.
Mammoth Lakes is a small (4 square miles), rural town of just 7000 permanent residents. Our town receives Internet service over one of just two fibre-optic trunks and the available bandwidth to the town as a whole is based on that small population. On busy weekends we can get up to 40,000 visitors and everyone in town must share the same Internet trunk. Mammoth's rural Internet service works just like old style cable Internet- it slows down when all the neighbors use it at once. We are unable to improve Internet speeds as we are not the provider, just a customer for another company's product. We do require property owners to purchase high speed Internet with minimum speeds sufficient for streaming, but when competing with the neighbors, there is nothing we can do.
Additionally, these bandwidth limitations can spill over into degraded cell phone service (mainly on the Verizon trunk which is shred with the local cable Internet operator). When the town is highly overloaded during peak winter and major holidays, we all find our cell phones intermittently loose connection to the network and rebooting will solve it. I am not sure why this guest thinks that situation is relevant to a review of this vacation rental- we do not provide or manage cell phone service.
If you have any questions about the property you are considering, and if you have specific needs or expectations, we have local staff in Mammoth available 7 days per week to talk to you or answer any questions. We know every property on our program and are happy to help to make sure you are booking the best property for your needs and budget. Please call us at 866 Mammoth from 9am to 6pm, 7 days per week.
Everything was perfect but the heater in the master bathroom didn’t work and it was too freezing cold to go in and out the shower or use the toilet. Very uncomfortable. Everything else was perfect. Ty
A couple of things. There was only one fan in the unit. In the summer, it would be nice to have a fan in all of the living areas, very warm while we were there. There was a nice balcony, but no chairs. The location was great and overall the unit was very nice.

Unfortunately, this guest never contacted our office to give us an opportunity to correct any of these issues. We have 18 full time staff members in our housekeeping, maintenance and guest services departments who we can call upon to resolve problems. If this happens, or if you are concerned about problems with a unit you are considering, please call our offices at Mammoth Five Star Lodging. The location of this unit was perfect for quick access to the Canyon lifts and Village gondola.
This unit suited our family of 5 perfectly. However I didn’t pay enough attention to the floor plan and it was a bit difficult for my mother who struggles with many stairs. The lower Stairs are steep and hard wood so future renters should keep this in mind—slippery with ski socks. There is not a bathroom on the main floor, but 3 bathrooms attached to the bedrooms. Again great for my family, but not for my mom. Otherwise, you can’t beat the location, and it was a treat for this So. Cal family to enjoy a white Christmas.

Great location and place was very nice. 3 showers is KEY. No central heat, and power around the house a bit iffy.. but otherwise great spot. Would stay again.
Very comfortable place for our family of 8. The bedrooms were convenient, the kitchen was a bit small at times, but definitely workable and the living space was perfect! The only thing I might suggest is more linens; one set each for 6 nights was a bit tight.
The condo was great! Unfortunately they closed the ski lifts the day we arrived so no . Ski in ski out. But besides that, it was a great place! And we got snow!

This property had the perfect location. Close enough to walk to Canyon Lodge. The condo itself was exactly how the pictures looked. Two master bedrooms each with their own bathrooms and a large loft with 2 bunkbeds and a bathroom. The living room and kitchen space was wide open to give plenty of space for everyone. There was never an issue with hot showers. We all took showers one after the other and there was hot water for everyone. The Rec Room was a 5 minute walk away and had fun stuff for the teenagers to play. This was a great property for those who want to stay close to the mountain and not have to worry about parking their cars at the Lodge.
Did the job! Easy process to check in. Walking distance to canyon lodge. Could use a smart TV and better beds:)
