"Casa Virgilio in Monti" in Rome is located on the ground floor of a building of the '700 in the Monti district, one of the most characteristic of the capital between the Fori Imperiali, the Colosseum (8' walk) and Santa Maria Maggiore (4 ' on foot).
Very well served by public transport: underground station (line B, Cavour stop), near the Termini station and then the arrival of the Leonardo Express train to / from Fiumicino Airport, and buses to Ciampino Airport. In the area, at a distance of 5 minutes walk, there are 4 supermarkets, restaurants, taverns, pizzerias, bars, wine bars, clubs, pastry shops.
"Casa Virgilio in Monti" is composed of two double suites (you can also book separately). They have an independent and intercommunicating access through an internal door. The price is for the whole apartment that can comfortably accommodate 4 people, wanting a fifth on the sofa of one of the suites. It is also suitable for 2 adults and 2 boys / children turning one of the 2 double beds into 2 single beds.
The first suite, "I fiori", is composed of a bedroom (double bed or two singles), private bathroom, living / veranda with kitchenette (fridge, induction plates, oven, dishwasher), real internal garden overlooking a very quiet private flowery courtyard. The second one, "Il Gallo Rosso", consists of an alcove with a French double bed, a living room, a private bathroom and a kitchenette (induction plates, microwave oven, fridge, washing machine).
The price is for the entire structure. For the rental of a single suite, we refer you to the Casa Virgilio1 apartment in Monti and Casa Virgilio2 apartment in Monti.
The two suites have air conditioning, heating, TV, WiFi internet, minibar, coffee machine, kettle for hot water, all to ensure a truly relaxing and peaceful stay. A welcome drink will be offered to you on your arrival.

Great Place in Rome

We spent 4 nights and could not have been happier with the accommodations. The host was helpful, even getting up on our last day to see us off. The apartment was comfortable and the host included snacks, wine and coffee. It made the stay that much easier as we did not need to shop immediately. They had a nice list of places to eat near by which was helpful. I would highly recomend!

Great location in Rome

Wonderful stay in Monti neighbourhood. The house was clean and spacious. Some snacks and a bottle of wine was left for us - a perfect experience. Close to the Metro, so easy access to all of Rome. Highly recommend.

Virgilio in Monti

We have stayed in the past in VRBOs in the Navona and Trestevere areas. Monti is quieter and very convenient to Santa Maria Maggiore and a short walk to the Forum, but plenty of good restaurants.The apartment is perfect for 4 with a slightly offbeat layout that works nicely. Jean-Louis could not have been more welcoming or helpful, and stocked it with snacks, breakfast food, and Prosecco. Altogether a fantastic experience.

Great location!

We were greeted with plenty of breakfast food, coffee, and numerous things in the fridge! That was very much appreciated. Plenty of space and beds were comfortable. The host was very accommodating by letting us check in early and setting up a taxi to the airport.

Apartment Virgilio was spacious, clean, and aesthetically attractive. Enjoyed having meals while looking upon a beautiful interior courtyard.Booking was a smooth process and communication with host was conducted via What's Ap. Excellent location Beautiful flat

Having 2 bedrooms each with their own bath was wonderful. Flat was very clean. Kitchens are small but adequate to prepare small meals. Having hosted items for breakfast was a plus! . Location is within walking distance of all major sites. Host was very helpful and response time for questions was quick. We will definitely stay again!

Wonderful experience

This property was perfect. It was a short walk to shops, restaurants and gelato! Jean Louis, our host, met us at the property and showed us around. He had a bottle of wine waiting for us, with snacks and coffee for the morning. It was perfect. The apartment was a good size for our family of four. The area felt safe and secure. We did not take the metro, but the stop was about a block away. I would highly recommend this property to anyone visiting Rome. It was an amazing stay and we cannot wait to come back some day. We had really clear communication with our host well before our visit which ä, as it was our visit to Rome was very reassuring. The apartment is in a very good location, near the Coliseum and near a metro station which easily takes you to the Vatican, Trevi Fountains etc. The apartments has 2 separate areas and plenty of space. The communication Jean-Louis was brilliant. He always answered near enough straight away. When we arrived late evening Micaela (a friend of the owners) was already waiting for us. She gave us all the information we needed. Since it was a ground floor property it was ideal for me because of my disability. A welcome pack waited for us. Lots of items, bread, butter, drinks, fruit, jam, yoghurts, biscuits and a bottle of wine. A very well equipped kitchen. The property was within walking distance of the colosseum and other sights. I would highly recommend a stay.

Great location and Great Hosts.

Had a really good stay here. This is an excellent location within walking distance to all the main attractions. Only had to use taxis a couple times and down loaded the app FREENOW. Would definitely recommend this property and if back in Rome stay here again.

A must stay in Rome!

in a word, Spectacular! we had such an amazing stay and experience. first, the unit is In a beautiful historic building with tons of history, character and charm. the amazing outdoor garden and beautiful living room with sky lights was definitely a highlight. from the original ceilings to the brick walls, a truly stunning place. the location is in wonderful Monti, close to many truly delicious local dining options and shops. walkable to major landmarks such as the Colosseum and the Vittorino. our hots was amazing, friendly, left us with a fully stocked kitchen down to coffee and delicious treats for breakfast and even welcome drinks. We had an amazing time and can't wait to stay here again!

Perfect!

This apartment is perfect in every way. If we ever come back we will definitely stay here again. EVERYTHING is within walking distance. Amazing restaurants, the Coliseum, Hop on and off buses, lots of other ruins, etc. The city is alive but this little place was one street off the main excitement and was very quiet. Check-in was easy and the hosts were incredible. We were greeted with wine and snacks and information on everything we could do.

Eclectic Garden Apartment!

Jean Louis was a very nice host. He provided an array of breakfast and snack items which we found to be a very nice touch. For those looking to cook, there were a wide array of appliances available. The kitchen area and baths were very compact, but satisfied our needs. It was a great place to begin and end our very busy days in the city!

Amazing place, great hospitality

This little apartment in the center of Rome is a great place to enjoy everything city has to offer. It’s within walking distance to some major sites as well as good restaurants. The place itself has everything you need for a comfortable stay and even more. Jean-Louis lives next door and is always available for any questions or issues you may have. Upon our arrival, we were personally greeted and he showed us everything as well as gave his recommendations on dining and shopping places. Snacks and tea and coffee as well as breakfast items were really handy in the morning. We enjoyed our stay very much!

Wonderful host

We had 2 couples. Our train from Florence got to Rome much earlier than check-in and John Louis was very nice to allow us to leave our luggage and get in early. We had some issues with figuring out the washer/dryer combo but not a big deal. It’s a very historic apartment with an unusual layout for 2 couples but that was in the description. We felt super safe also. Great area.
