This is a fabulous place, comfy, clean with every thing you need.
This is a fabulous place, comfy, clean with every thing you need. It has a large kitchen, a snug and 2 en-suite bedrooms. Through the gate straight onto The High Peak Trail, great for walking or biking. A pub 1 mile away, which was lovely. The owners are delightful, a font of knowledge on the local area they gave us a very generous hamper along with milk, wine and homemade scones (clotted cream and strawberry jam also provided). Would definitely recommend

Very well equipped.
Very well equipped. Very welcoming and the owners most accommodating. Just about everything provided except a 'dishwasher! (But apparently they had one and it was a real problem! ). Countryside around really stunning. No facilities in next villages but nowhere is far. Local pubs and restaurants good. Try Biggin Hall for Sunday Lunch. Chatsworth stunning. Baslow Pottery worth a visit.

We had a wonderful relaxing weekend in Railway Cottage. It was exactly what we wanted, home from home. Everything was spotless & the views were amazing. The trail which is just out the back gate of the cottage is a must for cyclists & walkers , through the beautiful countryside. The owners were very welcoming & friendly & left a welcome pack for our arrival. We will definitely return soon.

We had a wonderful stay at Railway Cottage.
We had a wonderful stay at Railway Cottage. It was a great base for walking in the area and it was a bonus to back on to one of the Peak District’s fantastic cycle trails. The kitchen/diner and bedrooms both with en-suites were lovely, and scrupulously clean. It would have been nice to have a bit more outdoor space to bbq, but we did sit out on the patio/driveway one night and play cards.
You must visit Tagg Farm Dairy 15-mins away, for amazing ice cream.
We would happily book Railway Cottage again as a Peak District base.
