The house had a well equipped kitchen (perfect for 2 families), nice spacious verandah , great games room for kids and was only a short stroll to the lake for fishing and beautiful sunsets.
Beautiful views of towering trees from the main bedroom and loungeroom with clean, well presented and spacious rooms made this a very relaxing and wonderful holiday for our family and our friends. I would highly recommend this fabulous house!
What a beautiful, spotless & relaxing property. Plenty of space & the kids thoroughly enjoyed the games room. Great service from the owners & we appreciated the Wi Fi.

A little dated and damp
The layout was lovely, however the house had a mouldy, stale smell when we entered and the bedding felt ‘dampish’. Maybe someone should open the house before guests arrive to circulate the air.

Thank you for your review, this particular season of summer and Autumn rain has been the worst on records in the area, We have done extra to normal cleaning & reviewed the procedures, so the house is fresh on arrival.
Very comfortable, lots of room, well furnished although property needs outside cleaning. Gutters overflowing with leaf debris and cobwebs at windows

Beautiful property but we felt slightly uncomfortable during our stay
The accommodation itself was beautiful. The main room had a lovely view over trees and the space felt open and relaxed. Although there was some mould on the blinds, generally everything was clean and as pictured. The kitchen was spacious and had everything we needed and the games room was good fun. The location was also great, really close to the lake and within a short drive of lovely beaches.
However, we felt a bit disappointed with the property agent. Although she was pleasant and helpful before our arrival, we felt uncomfortable and a bit talked down to when we were welcomed to the property. We understood the importance of keeping the noise down for the neighbours but felt we were treated like naughty school kids in the welcoming and in subsequent conversations. There were also a number of strict rules, including that the electricity in the games room shut off at 10:30pm and a fee for each item of furniture that needed to be moved back to its original position.
We really loved the property itself but we may not necessarily recommend Le Shed to other groups.

Le Shed Smiths Lake
For the sake of honesty, I will be frank with my summation of our stay at Le Shed. The property is a well designed house, with an attractive floor plan, which we think has been let down by the state of the property in terms of styling and cleanliness. The paint on the walls appears to be a chalky undercoat with many bump and scrape marks, water stains on many ceiling areas, and trim appearing to lack paint at all. There are a lot of cobwebs on the high ceilings and even on under areas of the main table and smaller tables. Dust was also evident on pretty much everything including blinds and wall trim, causing my wife and son to continually sneeze and feel pretty miserable. In terms of styling, the lounge was comfortable but a dull colour, while the balcony outdoor table and chairs were filthy and stained by bird droppings and cobwebs. We appreciate that in a bushland setting, leaves, bird droppings and bugs are difficult to avoid, however knowing a family was coming to stay, we felt a better preparation could have happened. The stained water for toilet flushing was also unattractive, which we assumed was from the water tanks. Also we failed to properly read what was provided to guests and we were caught out by no linen and towels included. Our fault but we would have expected both to be included. In summary, a decent paint job, perhaps some wall art featuring photos of the area and a deep clean would do wonders for the property in terms of an attractive holiday destination.
Kate’s house was very comfortable for our family group, close enough to walk to local shops and down to the water. Large back deck with many visiting birds including kookaburras. Great family living spaces looking out amongst the trees.
House is homely, spacious and has all the kitchen essentials to make it a pleasureable stay. Due to the very heavy rain we were house bound. The board games came in very handy. We all recharged our batteries and enjoyed the stay.
House was very nice in a perfect location.
Photos do not do it justice and I would suggest they be updated as it is much nicer than they make out.
The one thing that stopped the property being 5 stars is the lounge. It was super uncomfortable, able to feel the frame below it through the cushions and the chase was damaged so it wasn't able to be sat on. Would highly recommend the lounge be updated
Great size
Great outlook
Well stocked kitchen
Lovely feel looking into the trees
Few improvements :
clothes dryer, clothes drying rack and clothes pegs. Towels could not dry
King size bed in main
Lock box for keys
The wettest weekend in 100 years but we managed to keep kids and adults entertained. Plenty of space inside. Property manager was very accommodating when part of our group had to stay on due to floods heading home. Would love to come back during dry weather and check out the lake.
We stayed with 4 adults and 4 kids, plenty of room for all. Games room is a nice escape for the kids. Beds comfortable although linen is not included (read the agreement as this is not advertised on the listing where there's the option to do so). Shops and cafes are a short stroll and beaches a short drive. A little maintenance required with leaky shower water running out onto carpet - mould on carpet suggests it has been occurring for some time and refresh of curtains would also be a benefit. Basic amenities provided as a starter. Undercover parking is for 2 cars, not 4. This is a great house and we enjoyed our stay and would return if the minor maintenance was attended to.
We had a brilliant stay at Le'Shed. What a great house with lots of space, everything you could need in the kitchen, wonderful view of bushland and lake and to top it off a very fun games room. Myself and my family loved it. Perfect for families or friends looking for a quiet relaxing stay!!
Spider webs all over this property it was like no one had cleaned it for a few months. The location was great and it is a lovely house but unfortunately it is filthy and we had to reclean everything we used. Too bad. The manager makes it worse by being useless and apparently this isnt a unique complaint. There wasnt even a roll of toilet paper for us ... welcome!
Le Shed was a terrific place for our holiday at Smiths Lake. We were two families with four kids under 2.5 - the house was safe, spacious and well designed for groups. The living areas are light and airy with beautiful views into the bush land where there is a lot of bird activity. The bedrooms are well sized however some of the bedding required a bit of an airing. Le Shed is nicely positioned near the lake and shops. And Kate was very responsive before and during our stay. We would happily go back to Le Shed!
