Kate was a great host and responded to all messages. The property was clean has great views of the lake and had a kitchen well stocked with dinnerware, serving platters and glasses. We made use of the tinnie, canoe, kayaks, pool table and table tennis.
We loved our stay at Jemma's on the lake. There is so much to do for the whole family - spa bath, canoas and other boats, chalk board, pool table, ping pong table and multiple dining areas for games. The property was very clean and check in was easy. Beautiful location too with lots to explore.
Great location with lovely views of the lake, nice stroll to cafe, tinny was the highlight to be able to go fishing and catch dinner! Great communication with the host.
Nice holiday house for all ages, facilities is awesome. Kitchen is well equipped.Location is perfectly next to lake. Management is helpful. If there is hair dryer provide is perfect...
Very nice area house set up was spaced out very good Fire was the best Spa was great View was amazing needs a bit of modernising as very old style and very little water heater so space out your showers
A lovely position perfect for all the family to enjoy. Great access to the lake and surrounding beaches. Good secure area for our four legged friend as well. The house has plenty of space for all - the pool table and ping pong table were a hit with the kids. Great summer holiday destination.
Jemmas on the lake is a wonderful location for friends and family, especially those with young children. The house is comfortable and within walking distance to the lake. We had a wonderful time using the tinny and kayaks. This is definitely a property we would like to return to.
we intended to get out more but the weather wasn't great - no problem, with cards, pool, table tennis & movies we were well entertained. Make sure you bring along some mince or steak for the Kookaburras, the birdlife is amazing, Lorikeets, King parrots, kookaburras & even a couple of eagles
Great place to stay with family and little kids. Great spot on the lake and lots for the family to do.
It was a little dusty downstairs but once the windows and doors were all open it was okay.
The bedroom doors upstairs were a little hard to open and close but not too much of an issue.
Easy communication with owner during stay. Would come back again!

Loved the location and beautiful view. Other positives were the inclusion of the boat and kayaks, the house layout/size, kitchen had lots of glasses/plates etc, lots to do with a pool table, ping pong table, books, chalk board, spa.Unfortunately, there was an emergency for the cleaner who had to leave and a few things were missed. Kate was a great host and responded quickly to any of our needs. It was also very hot and humid particularly one of the days and nights and we all struggled to sleep. The house is a bit dated in areas or needed some TLC and plumbing makes a very loud sound when water is turned on in the downstairs bathroom. But overall, we enjoyed our stay.
Property is showing signs of aging flyscreens in need of repair, path to lake is hazardous for older people. But the deck and family room was great for a large family group. Mattress in main bedroom could be replaced.
Jemma's by the Lake was a great place to spend an extended family holiday. Large bunk room worked well for kids and Queen rooms were comfortable. Lovely quiet spot on Smith's Lake with good access to local beaches. We loved having boat & kayaks available to be able to enjoy the lake. Also equipped with table tennis & pool table! Deck was a great area to relax. Couches in main lounge looking a little tired and kitchen on the smaller size, but otherwise we had a fantastic stay. Thanks to Kate for responsive & helpful communication.
We were blessed by perfect winter weather, which allowed us to take full advantage of the various aquatic vehicles that this house offers, including canoeing into the middle of the lake for some magnificent sunsets. The table-tennis table was also well used, and for those who were less inclined to be active the sunbed was a great spot to enjoy the view. The few minor issues we had were dealt with impressively-quickly by Kate. All in all, a lovely relaxing week in a recommended property!

Looking pretty tired
Really could use a thorough spring clean and facelift. Some kitchen equipment not clean, bathroom vanity almost crumbling apart, mouldy blinds and generally needed a good makeover

Excellent location. House needs updating. More thorough clean needed. Boat a great option.
Location is the winning feature. The house is in desperate need of updating. Sliding doors not opening properly, light fixtures need cleaning of insects, cleaning of lounge needed, remote controls for TV unhygienic, dining furniture falling apart, 1x shower head non-functioning, fly screens falling out of windows, many spiders in downstairs area. This house has huge potential if some TLC could be provided. Would definitely come back to Smiths Lake but would not stay in this accomodation again.

Great view and good water access
Amazing views of the lake and good access to the water. Lots to do with the house facilities that’s included. Unfortunately the house itself was a bit of a let down with it needing some attention to things like windows and doors very hard to open, blinds dirty and old, bbq unusable due to years of cooking fat build up, some furniture could do with replacing, just some general updates would go a long way. We sadly wouldn’t stay there again due to this and the neighbour being a pest and telling us to be quiet the second we were outside of the house for longer than a few minutes, even though we were barely outside as it was to cold. Would make it difficult to enjoy the back deck area and bbq in the warm weather if your constantly being told to be quiet from the neighbour.

The vast majority of our guests stay with no issue and have no problem with our no tolerance to disturbance to our nieghbour’s policy.
It is disappointing all around when we find our nieghbour’s have been unnecessarily disturbed by guests.
Jemmas on the lake is a great property to holiday within, our spa, kayaks, small
motor boat & indoor activities all add up to lots of holiday fun, however, this is not the property for those who choose to disregard our clear policy displayed prior to booking, on disturbance of nieghbour’s.
House could use a freshen up. Older bathrooms and toilets. It’s a shame you have to supply your own linen and towels. No spare blankets so if you’re a cold frog I would recommend to take a blanket and maybe your own pill as the ones supplied are very thin. And I must have missed it in the fine print but you have to supply your own toilet paper as well. But host dropped some off to us after contacting them as we only had two half rolls.Overall had a pretty good stay host was prompt to answer text messages. But sorry to say we wouldn’t book again. As we had one of the neighbors peering through his blinds at us all the time we were there.
Great house, great location, great host.We all really enjoyed our stay at Jemma's, the property was very clean and welcoming on arrival. Good sized rooms and with a longer stay and 5 friends staying there it was great to have your own space. The fireplace was amazing and much needed in the winter. The supply of wood was more than enough and kept the whole house toasty warm.Kitchen amenities were fine with all equipment functioning well, especially the coffee machine (bring your own ground coffee of course).Had no issue with the neighbours at all, just follow the normal noise rules you would at your own house and all will be fine. The host Kate was fantastic, great communication, always responded quickly. We had 2 minor issues while we were there. Both times these were rectified within 30 minutes, even when we said they were nothing major and could wait. The property caretaker was friendly and of great help. Hit him up for some fishing tips.Highly recommended, we try to get away as a group of friends in our middle years of life at least once a year and I am sure we will be back.
